Updates

6/2/16: Cataloguing resumes apace, weapons have been accounted for, costumes and cast parts prior to next scratch/update. Urgent note to self: Create the enemy list and shops so that drop lists for weapons can be filled. Finish up the potential page template.
5/16/16: Hey, I'm back! Google drive information is being updated to keep track of what's going on in the wiki. This might take a while, and information changes to wiki won't be soon. There may be a skin change in the near future however.
2/18/16: Kressida Client Orders partially added, all weaponlists now use numbersort and have droplists.
2/16/2016: General wiki upgrades; drop down menus, template cleaning, image optimization. Also a nifty eq alert.
2/13/2016: Move over to new domain and renamed wiki has happened. Whether we grabbed everything as we ran for it, I have no idea.
2/8/2016: Updates backlogged. Site stability is shaky. Possibility of renaming wiki and moving domain.
2/6/2016: Double sabers list updated, knuckles WIP

Double Sabers: Rose Glacee, Lili Piece, Coat Doublis, Idaten, Sackbuts(new tokyo weapon), nemesis, invade, austere, Knuckles: Zamlionea, Bert Schroud, Wrap Cruller, Riggoanga.
2/5/2016: Photon Art list generated.

Issues include no videos, untranslated descriptions, missing jet boot Pa's.
2/4/2016: Technique list rebuilt with less levels and video column(currently empty)"lost weapons" of Twin daggers added to list.

Twin Filphleo, Rugged Flan, Senno Shuuha, S.CN Stag(tokyo weapon), Dagger of Seraphi, Nemsis Dagger, Invade + Austere Fencer
2/2/2016: "Lost" weapon translated have been verified, thanks to people at Bumped and co. Darkers enemy list is being updated. Phantom enemy list still lacking content.
1/31/2016: Missing entries "lost weapons" added to Swords, Wired Lances, Partizans and Katanas.

Drop lists and number algorithm added to the above. Partizan images to be updated at later date.
1/29/2016: Starting updates to swiki weaponlist(swordlist updated, others pending)
1/28/2016: Nanapedia General Update thread is a launch.

All Franka Client Orders Added.

Comments
I got around to making one thread instead of many new ones, so there's that. I still need to account for Sea and Tw(major delays). Sortable tables working, but algorithms need to be changed. Need to make a list of pso2 specialists so that I can pester ask them for information clarification.

A replacement for the ever slow to update Cirnopedia, hmm?

If I could suggest NOT having a white background though, that'd be great. Something a little darker, but not too dark.

Otherwise, looking good so far.

This is actually an amazing first step. I'd appreciate your contribution. Cirnopedia admins have gone hiatus or something from managing the site and I just was getting tired of using swiki 60% of the time. Hope this will be fully going green light!

I'll..uh...do what I can, but css really isn't my place to shine. Now if there were some random curious person who doesn't mind designing/experimenting/creating one, then I won't say no.

ie. I struggle to even change the background color

This is great, thanks for doing this.

I second the "not using a white background" thing. Perhaps a lightish blue like Cernopedia had, or even the option to choose (as there as well).

Where are you getting translations?

There is an option to customize your own wiki background(but that's probably beyond the average player to bother doing)

I've changed the background in the css, but I guess host hasn't applied it yet, or I'm just actually really bad at css.

When easy task meets in-game translation, we get.....an easy wiki page.

Nanaha
Jan 29, 2016, 03:03 PM
The css is here: http://nanapedia-pso2.shoutwiki.com/wiki/MediaWiki:Common.css

However to edit it, you will need to pm me to get a promotion to admin so that you can edit the sheet. It's probably different than what you usually expect since the css is stuck on MediaWiki.

The following have been added to Weapon-list Simple Swords

Avici - 阿鼻
Sapphire Fear - サファイフィーア
Jerate - ジェラーテ
Nox Veil - ノクスクヴェル
Battle Tact - イクサコウシャ
Sustain Lock - サステインロック
Seiga Sword - セイガーソード(tokyo 13* weapon)

LonelyGaruga
Jan 29, 2016, 03:26 PM
Sapphire Fear is definitely not a correct translation for サファイフィーア, サファイ reads as Safai/Sapphi. Sapphire is サファイア, the syllable that forms the -re sound is absent. It's a palette swap of サファイザリア which is listed as Sapphizaria on Cirnopedia (which could also be written as Sapphi Zaria), so Sapphifear or Sapphi Fear should do it. Those two weapons have their names derived from the male Fighter themed outfit サファイギリアス/Sapphi Gilias (http://pso2.swiki.jp/index.php?%E3%82%B5%E3%83%95%E3%82%A1%E3%82%A4%E3% 82%AE%E3%83%AA%E3%82%A2%E3%82%B9).

Japanese words listed in katakana are also normally left untranslated, so I would recommend leaving イクサコウシャ as Ikusa Kousha. This one's derived from ハマノイクサ/Hamano Ikusa (http://pso2.swiki.jp/index.php?%E3%83%8F%E3%83%9E%E3%83%8E%E3%82%A4%E3% 82%AF%E3%82%B5).

Generally speaking, for weapons, costumes, and the like, katakana is converted into romanji but otherwise left alone, kanji in weapons are the same, and kanji in costumes are converted into English (which is kind of inconsistent with weapons but eh).

Though, is this even the right place to post things to be corrected? Sorry if it's not.

This is....ah geez I should have looked at this sorting algorithm before. It compares each character then sorts them. Which makes everything bonkers for us. Since the algorithm goes "0123....", 1004 is listed above 1009 because 4>9. Then 1004 is greater than 988 because
4 > " ".

So then I changed the algorithm to numbers :u

It should be okayish now, fixing up the other pages atm.

Nanaha
Jan 31, 2016, 02:44 PM
Swords and katanas have had number algorithm added. Also started adding in drop lists. It won't have really anything inside until I fill the enemy lists.

Anyway, swords and katanas should be updated to have all the weapons from swiki. Albeit much info not transferred over yet.

I'm interested in doing individual PA/Tech pages, basic that is what I'd use the wiki the most for and it's one thing Cirno didn't have that I wish it had. It was always bothersome that there weren't video examples of PAs for me to see and judge before I got to work on them. And with individual pages, you won't need the all 17 levels on the list itself. That said, I have absolutely no idea for to do work on the wiki, but if I could contribute in other ways, that'd be great.

It's probable that I'll revert the pots template to what we had previously if the original creator isn't back to fix it.

Opinions wanted for the technique list. It currently shows all 17 levels, but this rather takes up alot of space, so I'm thinking of putting 17 levels in its individual page.

What are typically the breakpoints/important levels that a technique should need?

1, 10, 16, 17. Those are the common ones, I mean does anyone really care what a level 6 disc is when you can buy up to level 10 from player shops?

If only those levels are listed, then is it possible for an additional link to be added for a demo of the tech, maybe? Seems helpful for beginners.

Stat row look rather confusing due to it's labeling.
Instead of using "Power Accuracy" maybe you can just use "Power"?

Feb 6, 2016, 01:04 AM
Well got the technique list fixed, how do you guys want the videos implemented? While I would love to say I could put a video player in the wiki itself, the host doesn't support that, so it's most likely youtube links unless someone has a different idea.

Also, Photon art list has been generated. Jet boots is missing quite a few PA's, some descriptions are missing, and like tech list, no videos.

Anything else I missed?

vantpers
Feb 6, 2016, 06:16 AM
Why would one need videos for PAs? Seems like a waste. Also the descriptions are kinda lacking, seems like just ingame descriptions. People use Swiki precisely because it has a lot of info on PAs like where the SA frames are, where you can cancel it, how many % of the power description each part of PA does, how gear changes the working of the PA, then there is frame data at the bottom but it's another thing.

Punisher106
Feb 6, 2016, 02:37 PM
Drop locations for things would be very useful.

Nanaha
Feb 6, 2016, 10:56 PM
Drop location will probably be filled in later, I've decided on just linking short videos of the PA to YouTube, and will probably add a new column for all the technical information simply named notes.

And...frame data?

vantpers
Feb 7, 2016, 05:20 AM
Basically Swiki kept it simple and they just run everything in 60FPS and keep track of how long a PA lasts from PP consumption of JA, and how often charges last too. So you can calculate on paper DPS you would get by spamming the PA over and over again. Pretty useful in practice.

Nanaha
Feb 7, 2016, 05:28 AM
I'll let swiki continue with that frame data information grabbing. Unless someone feels like volunteering, I'll probably take the fruits of their results for the notes section(once I get to it).

The current organization of the costumes section is as follows:
http://puu.sh/mYZxO/472d335a86.png

I don't really have information on the hairstyle bit, but I've heard that layered has its own hairstyles differing from tickets? Would like confirmation on this so I can keep/remove hairstyles from this list.

I noticed that the skill simulator link in the left sidebar is wrong. It points to the old version from months ago, rather than the current one at this URL: http://arks-layer.com/skillsim/skillcalc.php

Edit: Also, the sorting for the columns on the weapon list pages seems broken... For example, on the jet boots page (http://nanapedia-pso2.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Simple_Jet_Boots_List), if I sort by the "Base" or "+10" columns, they aren't all in order properly. I'm not sure which stat it's supposed to be sorting by (since you put all three stat types in the same column), but it doesn't seem to be sorting properly by any of them - some of them will be ordered, but every now and then it'll jump massively to a significantly different value on the next row. In any case, I think it'd be a lot better if you added a column for each weapon stat, like the JP wiki does. It's very useful to be able to quickly sort by S-ATK and T-ATK separately with wands and jet boots.

Nanaha
Feb 7, 2016, 05:36 AM
Ah, I didn't even realize I had the old version. Should be up to date on Arks layer one now.

Another issue. The all-class weapons don't display the icon for Summoner.

Nanaha
Feb 7, 2016, 05:44 AM
Its an issue currently being addressed. For lists(Swords, Wired Lances, Partizans, Twin Daggers, Double Sabers, and Katanas), these currently have working number sorting and all-class icons.

The others will be fixed as I am adding in missing weapons.

*If you would like to know why number sorting doesn't work, I think i addressed it in an earlier post

vantpers
Feb 7, 2016, 06:36 AM
I would also delete the EN Database link as it has sometimes hilariously wrong info like Sacrifice Bite giving 30% bonus to swing speed. Other than that it has outdated description like Nova Strike last hit dealing the most damage. Guilty Break hitting above its notation with full charge. Pendulum Roll suddenly doing 6 hits. I could probably find more

Some things I noticed when casually browsing.

In t mechguns, you have a picture of the rifle Blaster in the 7 star slot where Egg Blaster should be. It's even called Blaster.

The Talis Gadianna is a recurring weapon in the online games. In the original PSO it was localized as Guardianna but it looked the same and it was a card weapon type. Dunno if you're making translation liberties with the name otherwise.

http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/phantasystar/images/f/f4/125px-Gaurdianna-4.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20100622212037

Besides that, it's really coming along!

I went with Gadianna because of the way the japanese sounds. If people are bothered by it though, I can change it to what it was localized as.

Oh, someone else started a wiki too.

I have OracleWiki, a semi-secret project of mine which is currently down for maint atm, but it's been a project of mine since last year.

Perhaps we should consider collaborating efforts?

Currently the google drive is being updated to accommodate the massive changes that has happened with the patch. This drive is only to keep track of what's on the wiki however. Changes to the wiki may be delayed for some time due to this.
