I am new to this game just joined it a couple days ago (would have sooner but isp issues).. A thing I am noticing is that sometimes.. people are able to join my party even though i locked mine with a password and restricted it to friends and team only.. this has happened a couple times now.. sometimes their name appears in my party list and sometimes they don't.. I don't ever complain about it in world or anything and play a long .. I don't want to seem rude.. I am doing the beginning quests though and since i am new i don't want to bother people with my exploration of every nook and cranny of the areas.. so that's why i lock them.. cause i am still kind of learning.. and still have quite a bit of the game i have yet to explore.. This is in no way mean spirited.. I am just curious.. So how are people joining my party despite party settings?

Edit: I thought i was in general when i posted this .. sorry about that.. if mods wish to move it they can.. I tried to see if i could but It doesn't give me the option to delete or move.. so to prevent the possibility of a double thread i will just leave it here and hope i get answers..

You need to click the second box under the password to to block other parties from joining your MPA.

If they don't appear in your party list, then they are MPA (multiparty area) members. They are just minding their own business. You can lock them out, but you don't have to.

If you tick friend or team member only, that can stop people joining your party.
If you want to be completely alone and prevent other parties joining the same instance, you need to add a password and click the second option that lights up once a password is entered.

And if they do appear if your party list, they must have guessed your password.

Also for playing solo I would recommend using the support partners, you can summon those from the terminal on the left side of dropship, just pick random people or your friends there, it will adjust the levels to yours and they just run behind you while you do whatever you want. Its good to pick something you are not like techer or force for some healing and buffs, ranger for marking enemies for you to do higher damage etc.

And if you fill your party with NPCs like that, nobody can join it.

ah i see.. I don't think i am aware of multiplayer areas.. but if this is the case i hope I am not taking items away from them.. or do we get our own drops? I use passwords that are not very easy.. you would have to guess random words that don't actually exist along with a series of numbers..

I thought for a while that it might have something to do with the pse thing that pops up every now and again..

Thanks for the information. :)

In PSO2, all loot on your screen are yours.
You can't take the other's loot since they have their own share which you can't see.
With exception, are dropped item by the other player but these item marked with some kind of "aura", fear not in "main-game" the only thing people can drop are cheap consumeable.

There, you have nothing to worry about picking everything you see.

Yeah just hold that E and run in circles until you have picked up everything from the boss since you get like 1 item per second pickup speed. I just wish they made something like pickup all nearby items button.

They probably couldn't pull it off because it'll fill your item pack with unwanted stuff, some people don't like to hoard items.
Still, it should be an option especially for extreme quest.

ah i see.. well that's good then.. I don't like the idea i might be a little greedy.. but i wasn't sure.. now that i know that takes a load off my mind lol.. thanks again. I try to pick up everything cause everything sells in some way.. if i have to i will drop lesser items tho for much higher selling items.

You can send item from item pack into your storage via item pack menu you know.
So the stuff you can pick doesn't only limited into your item pack size.

you may want to set meseta to autopick, coz picking up mesetas manually would be.. eeh annoying

basic settings > auto meseta pickup

yeah i found out about the storage but i keep forgetting about it.. lol . Its something to get use to i suppose.. one thing is for sure.. i still seem to pick up enough telepipes.. Auto pickup seems helpful. thanks. :)

They should just make all meseta pick up automatically. And I mean actually pick all of it in your vicinity, not just have an additional invisible cursor that imitates mashing pickup button. Nowadays you still have to make circles around meseta pools to pick them up, even with "automatic pickup" option on, and it's annoying.

When they do that, they should also implement autopickup for stackable items. Like, do you have 1 Grinder in your inventory? Then all the Grinders should go to your inventory automatically.

In the case of XQs, item pickups are pure waste of time. All of those rewards should go to Extreme Storage immediately. They shouldn't even drop.

Yeah definitely set auto meseta pickup.
As for the send to storage, if you don't mind like 3 extra clicks, you pretty much have 550 default storage on your character as if you for example fill your main 50 inventory with weapons, go to the weapon tab and Shift-click the first and last weapon, that will select them all and then you just quickly send all to storage - this will not send weapons you have set in your 6 weapon slots so you don't have to worry about sending away your main weapon.
(it will also not send any equip you have on such as outfit, units etc, but be careful to not send away your consumables and healing items xD).
That's why I only have extended inventory on one of my characters and on the new one I main now I didn't even bother paying for that, even though after having various outfits and all consumables and weapons and units I am left with less than 25 empty slots for loot, it is enough since the send to storage takes like 2 seconds.

When you want to vendor the items in your storage you also don't even have to get them out of your storage, you just select the storage option with the vendor (or player shop if selling there) and you can sell straight from your box.

The only things you need to have in your char inventory are the gear and outfits and consumables, and when upgrading or crafting weapons or affixing then also the materials for that, there is no way to upgrade stuff from your storage.

that would be nice.. but i imagine sega might think would kill some of the original feel of PSO.. hmm i don't really know for sure.. but as an older Phantasy Star player it doesn't bother me much..

I have another question .. how does one obtain tokens to play games in the casino? I went in there yesterday, looked around and tried to find a way to buy tokens.. are they are AC shop item? or can you purchase them with maseta?

You get one casino ticket every day, use the machine to turn them into 100CC and then just win, there is pretty much no way to lose (especially if you play during boost hours) as all the RNG benefits the player.
