I'm making this thread to ask this question since I want multiple replies from a specific group of people, and the Quick Questions thread will likely have the question get lost quickly and only get one or two replies at best.

Anyway, my computer has a Radeon 5870 graphics card (it was top-of-the-line back when I got my computer many years ago LOL) and it has been able to run PSO2 at Tier 5 max graphics setting at 1920x1200 fine, but bumped.org suggested that a GTX 950 or better card is recommended to run at Tier 6 graphics.
I ran the benchmark tool at max Tier 6 settings, and I only get occasional frame drops during the super visually-intensive parts, getting a score of 4224. I'm wondering what people with current top-of-the-line computers are getting with max settings on the new benchmark tool, in order to compare.

I wouldn't worry too much if i were you I got a higher score in this benchmark than the very first benchmark with the same card. I only have GTX 650 ti and I get a stable 58 fps. My score was even lower than yours.

I have 36K with a 980 and i7-4750k. 1080p, everything on. My FPS was like 150-200 the entire time though, which is completely overkill. (Only need 60+, or 30+ I guess if it's all about how shiny everything looks than smoothness)

I seem to be in a similar boat - I have a 6850 instead though but my MB is at least 4-5 years out of date by now. Do you guys think the 6850 will still do the job and I can get away with an MB + Processor upgrade only?

I have 36KWTF a score of 36,000?! Didn't think that was even possible. LOL

WTF a score of 36,000?! Didn't think that was even possible. LOL

My score is 52K+

It's very possible ^_^

24k at 1920x1080 with a GTX 960. Not bad, thought it would be worse

I got a score of 6800 with a Phenom II X4 955 and an ATI 7850 2GB. I think your processor is more of a bottleneck than your graphics card, judging from what I've seen from the scores.

My score is 52K+

It's very possible ^_^The power of current high-end computers!
I'm too poor to afford a new graphics card anything right now. >_< Being a student with debt sucks...

And I didn't realize that there was already a thread about the benchmark. Guess I should have posted in there. I only bothered to search for the word "benchmark" and not "character creator" and the like. ^_^;

I wonder how much i'll get with nVidia Inspector extras. Won't be able to check for 11 more hours though.

I guess I should also mention that I'm running my computer with three monitors (1x 1920x1200 + 2x 1920x1080), so that takes up some processing power, too.

@Perfect Chaos and Anduril

Thank you for the link.

Computer Specifications:

CPU: 17-2600K // Ran at Stock Speeds and at Unified Clock Speeds
GPU: 980 GTX x 2 (SLI) [Running in non-OC form as I own superclocked versions) //I buy due to the part being binned at higher quality
RAM: 16GB RAM (Low Latency Timers)
OS: Windows 10 64-bit Ultimate...
Drives: Six Drives, OS + Game are in SSDs.

Monitors: 2 monitors (1920x1080)

Tests (Aimed at 60 FPS)

1920x1080x32@60 FPS: Maintained Perfect Framerate at Tier-6 Graphics //Base
1920x1080x32@60 FPS: Maintained Perfect Framerate at Tier-6 Graphics //Nvidia Inspector + RendererX (Standard Clock Speed 3.4ghz)
1920x1080x32@60 FPS: Maintained Perfect Framerate at Tier-6 Graphics //Nvidia Inspector + RendererX + Dxtory (Unified Clock Speeds 3.8ghz)
1920x1080x32@60 FPS: Maintained Perfect Framerate at Tier-6 Graphics //Nvidia Inspector + RendererX + Dxtory + Encoding Video of previous demo while running current demo (Unified Clock Speeds 4ghz GPUs running at standard clock speeds non-overclocked form for stability)

1920x1080x32@60 FPS: FPS Low: 49, FPS High: 60 on Tier-6 graphics //Advanced (higher quality settings) Nvidia Inspector + RendererX + Encoding Previous Run + Recording Current Run + Uploading to my fileserver the run two tries ago (Unified Clock Speed 4.0ghz)

I really wish I could try this on DSR 4K because when I play in Tier V graphics I get 60 FPS in the main game. I really wanted to see if this actually works....

In regards to the Demo itself:

I felt the demo was rather deceptive on the part of expressing the type of game PSO2 actually is. We see low camera angles to make the characters look like if Tokyo is filled with simulated life and is truly under attack. The characters looked like they lived there and their angle and approach to targets made me feel like this was Grand Theft Auto V or games in the Action/Adventure Genre. In-Game Tokyo is boring as a fuck and there is no life everywhere and the only thing decent there is the boss....but the map to me isnt even worth playing unless there is trigger party or Featured Quest...

This is the score I got on max settings:

Mind you, I find the graphics the same if not worst that the actual game. Maybe it's the fact that I'm playing on a 40" TV and not a monitor.

hovering around 41-43k with i7 4770K running at 4.3GHz Turbo boost and a stock GTX970

cant run it with Inspector for some reason, always got locked at 60FPS vsync

I got 14,765 or something around there.

I'm playing on a laptop with an i74720HQ @ 2.6 GHZ, 970M with 3 GB and 8 GB RAM.

Fps never dropped lower than 80. Sooo yeah, unless you have a serious potato for a PC I think you should be fine.

Tbh maybe it's me but the changes seem minimal, maybe if I saw comparison shots...

I wonder if anyone here has tried unified clock speeds.

What Unified Clock Speeds are is to run all four cores at your turbo-boost max speed. In the BIOS one can set on many intel processors which have been unlocked on air-cooling the multiplier numbers to the very same as the speed one gets when a single core is in use alone..

Lets say you have a i7-2600K like I do (or stronger)

You will see the following in the bios

1-core 37
2-core 36
3-core 35
4-core 34

and basically people change this to 100mhz higher and run

1-core 38
2-core 38
3-core 38
4-core 38

and this survives on air cooling...which actually runs more stable than the computer always having to adjust frequencies and go between power-saving modes all the time....

People used to say this about RAM speed doing nothing. But then DDR4 + Skylake happened and slapped them across the face.

Edit: Also setting your windows power profile to high performance should force all cores to run at 100% frequency without touching the bios.

Windows = Software
BIOS = Hardware

Software acts upon the settings made in the hardware, Hence the definition of an Operating System a.k.a "A software package devised with the intent of managing hardware for the user."

People have always been ignorant masses who grew up thinking they were smart because they read Tomshardware or Anandtech all day, while people like myself actually majored in computer science and music, and prior to entering school I had many years in actually MODDING systems and even working with Liquid Nitrogen on Overclocking Stuff.

I have also built FULL SOUNDPROOF noiseless-passive-cooled systems, as well as underclocked performers with the focus on saving power and even modded and built my own cases. :)

So when people tell me I am full of shit because my opinion doesn't match 99% of the ignorant masses out there who think they are the shit, I just laugh and let them be. There is a difference between a person who thinks they are elite, and a person who knows he is elite and shares a real responsibility for having such skill and power....

I am not a showoff about it, but I also wont be bullied by the masses of stupid people with no education who believe their words are true simply because the majority of the same stupid crowd believes it is so.....

Why don't we bring Democracy to "knowledge" and by the same token and say that Math is irrelevant, useless and bad because more than half of the human population is incapable of handling middle school mathematics fluently?

BTW the Tool have the graphics on Tier 3 (or was 4?) by default. You guys have to manually move it to 6.

It's quite sad that the PS4 version feels pretty potato-y. Frame drops to noticeable choppiness.

That's surprising. I didn't think the PS4 would have a problem.

I ran this game at 60 fps on tier 5 back when I had a 570m 1.5 GB VRAM and a 2nd gen i7 with 12GB RAM.

You mean the simple draw settings? Mine was at 5, but then again, 5 is the current max setting in PSO2, so perhaps it just grabbed that setting from my registry or something.

my room-mate scored 101k on t6 last night. Her computer is a beast though.

I scored 21k, which is pretty much exactly what the other person in this thread who had my graphics card scored XD
