For me, any kind of single party mode would be nice, since it'd be easier to find 3 people to play a single party quest with me than trying to do an unpopular mpa quest.

When it comes to more specific stuff, I guess I would like some sort of marathon mode, long quests that go through every area in a planet, for example, forest > tundra > ruins > nab UQ, maybe even ending in a scaled down (scaled for 4 players) falz? (IMO fighting something like a Dark Falz feels alot more satisfying at the end of a long hard dungeon than randomly when the game feels like).

Other modes, endless nightmare/phantasmal world type quests, quests that end in a dark room filled with several waves of enemies.
Mini-games modes, maybe using the running system from the Tokyo field for racing mini-games and such.

I honestly prefer Saiki being the BiS units for a while if only because something better would have to be a LOT better to the point of even more unnecessary power creep, or else no one is going to care about it if they already have fully affix saiki units anyway.

There are honestly already units worth using before Saiki now anyway, so the only way I think those Tagami units will be worth it is if they're easy to get.

When you defeat an enemy, you get a 1% damage buff. Caps at 15%.

Doesn't specify duration between kills though. Potentially this could be OK for TDs but definitely terrible for boss EQs.

Bellion
Apr 16, 2016, 08:14 AM
For every enemy crushed, damage dealt increases by 1% and up to a 15% damage cap. So, 0% damage bonus on Magatsu EQs? . 3.

So, I assume you want everyone to repeat the Dark Falz Loser incident on the first few weeks of his release...

And iirc, you're able to fail the first phase. I wasn't watching the timer much during the play through.

Altiea
Apr 16, 2016, 08:22 AM
I guess EQs involving AIS are becoming a problem because AIS makes everyone play the same, which is not as fun. I feel like it's okay in Magatsu because in Magatsu, the AIS segment is more or less the coup de grace, but when it becomes the focus the problem becomes a lot more glaring.

Yes, actually.

Personally, I'd hate to constantly fail an EQ for about 3-4 weeks straight, waste my time and not get a single drop from the boss, etc. But I do understand that there should be at least a bit of a challenge.

I'm fine with it having the same phase thing as Magatsu, where players are able to fail the first phase, which I assume will be the case.

If you're wondering why you got no stones and only a couple of badges from the boosted Easter EQ, that's because SEGA wasn't clever enough to tweak the coding for the large crystal. It works the same way as in TD - lower rarity drops get pushed out to make room for higher rarity drops... which means stones and badges get pushed out by garbage rare drops.

Watched Yamato fight. The objective based stuff is kinda everything EQ mixed together, then finally throw in AIS for good measure. (thank gawd the ship looks realistic enough to house a hangar instead of... hyperspace "photons" hangar. Well, other than kinda sad that no orbital drop combat, it seems.... above average? though the AIS-ship combat is like trying to hit 2nd phase magatsu whom teleport every 10-20s, will frustrate at least half the mpa if not all.

Then the June PD upgrade looks promising though, but really, exposing all the possible new attacks ain't gonna help much for the thrill. And then, oh well, since some claimed that PD is easier than expected after a few days of first release, so here you go, by the (possible?) ramped-up difficulty.

nephie

wonder if PD power up has connection with the dio-hunar taking apprentice power from Aika/Matoi. but nonetheless this is good change.

Looking at the timeshift now.
Some people in the comments were saying Suganuma was better, and "save us Suganuma!"

some japanese player thinks that he did good jobs in class balancing (as he really plays the game) and he tried to make pso2 not too moneygrab. and the last UI change on 10*/11* to excube during the first few week on ep4, which isn't handled by him at all, was a dud (which has been improved and lot better than ep3 now)
plus he said that he apply to sega and work for them for 11 years because he has sentimental attachment to pso series, and he wanted to take part on developing pso2.

I personally like some of his adjustment especially skill tree revamp and visi-phone affix search, but I also don't like on how he try to make the game rather casual on ep3 as he always use the tone-down-difficulty on every content that is considered hard by players (xh magatsu, falz angel on AQ)

Neith
Apr 16, 2016, 12:31 PM
Not much to shout about really. Yamato could be interesting but again it's Emergency content. When one of the biggest issues with PSO2 is lack of worthwhile content outside of emergencies it doesn't solve anything. Glad Profound Darkness is getting beefed up but adjusting some of his attacks and giving us the exact same quest is pretty pathetic.

The roadmap honestly looks really sad if that's all that's on it. :disapprove: Probably differs for some people but Episode 4 has been one disappointment after another for me. The adjustments to Wild Easter had me shaking my head and AC is getting more and more intrusive.

Any word on worthwhile stuff (like XH for all Free/Arks Quests)?

Soooooo, anyone wanna guess how long until JP players throw a petition at SEGA to re-hire Suganuma as the director for EP5 (if we reach that point)?

It's not like a level cap increase is important anyway.

Most games would set level cap at 10x number if they don't plan to increase the cap. Even for balance reasons, class cube orders could get scrapped and increase cap to 80 instead.

Was something said about Ultimate Amduscia? Firesword mentioned it in the stream, but I don't see any mention of it on bumped.

PSU had 180 as its cap for 3 and a half years.

PSO2 Ep4 was a mistake.

PSO1 V2 and beyond raised it's level cap never!

And yeah, Ep4 has been really awful so far. The new gfx and 3 button palette are nice, but it won't help if there's nothing fun to do with them. Yamato looks way too focused on AIS; which imo doesn't belong in PSO2.

Next update is amd themed but ULT is not mention in the update note.
ULT amd enemies may be used for that limit quest though.

Honestly they could just rerelease PSO1 and maybe PSU in PSO2 and that would be interesting enough content for me. = w=

I am enjoying EP4 greatly at the moment, because it seems my interests run contrary to many here (AIS, AU Earth, etc).

I don't understand why anyone wants a level cap raise that badly when it is the definition of artificial content.People just want a tangeble goal. I agree though, there's no need for a level cap increase, I'd rather get new content that requires what we have now, but I doubt Yamato is really going to be that.

Honestly I don't think PSO2 is ever going to have an explosion of content that some are looking for seeing as this is a F2P MMO that has fairly gradual content updates. Heck, this next patch is considered massive in comparison to previous iterations and it's mostly graphical and UI updates.

Most players would be more happy to see a cap increase rather than class cube orders (=21 levels) plus 1-9 extra items in storage

Heck, this next patch is considered massive in comparison to previous iterations and it's mostly graphical and UI updates.I'm not looking for an explosion, so much as a steady stream. an entire update being dedicated to a scratch and an EQ isn't very much considering you can't even do EQs on your own time. There's a lot of game modes that people have suggested to spice things up that wouldn't even require making entirely new assets, and that they themselves have proven they're capable of doing, but we just keep getting seasonal EQs and scratches. :/

Most players would be more happy to see a cap increase rather than class cube orders (=21 levels) plus 1-9 extra items in storageI would have prefered a level cap increase instead of the class cube thing too, but if anyone thinks a level cap increase would get rid of the system now that it's here, they'd have to be delusional.

Looking at the timeshift now.
Some people in the comments were saying Suganuma was better, and "save us Suganuma!"
He's the hero we needed since the beginning

So basically though Ep4 Reborn full release 4/20 then since this is what it should have been released in the first place.

I'm struggling to see what they changed about Profound Darkness apart from that massive laser just after the floating "bits" appear, if it's just higher damage then eh (PD attacks are already easy to avoid). I'm glad they're making it tougher though, it's my favourite boss so it'd be a shame if it became as pathetic as Magatsu is nowadays.

Yamato first phase feels like Big Vardha but with obstacle in a way, it looks boring.

Kinda nice to see PD get some buff though, it's kinda rare they gave such treatment to older content the real final boss of PSO2.

I was hoping the ground phase of the Yamato fight would be more interesting. It doesn't even have a proper boss as Hagito Femt (Which is what the ship captain is called) is just there to distract you while you destroy the turrets on the deck.

It has a huge chest core that becomes exposed later in the fight, and it looks like its laser spam phase that's normally avoided by simply killing it before it recovers from the stun after the solo portion is mandatory now. I'm thinking it might just not even get stunned at all in the revamped fight.

Considering the boss is the entire ship, it's appropriate that we sabotage individual turrets first before destroying it with the big guns (AIS).

Ice field/deck fight is a completely waste of time since yamato self repaired its turrets when hagito merged with the ship.

To be fair, the second character is the very definition of 'stick with tits'. Not surprised that her leg bends unnaturally.

They stuck someone in a mo-cap suit to do animations for characters that may have terrible proportions/wearing heels. That's just asking for weird stuff to happen.
