can someone tell me what's up with this "auto-reboot" that some (or maybe even many) other people experience? it's really irritating; especially when playing online.
i have no idea what happens, but it'd be cool if anyone can give some info on what causes it and how it can be prevented.

It is caused by the power board contacts getting dirty.
You can clean these yourself or get Sega to do it for you (at a cost.)

I've never had that auto-reset problem in any other DC games... Seems like it's just a bug in PSO.

the auto reboot thing is much worse! Th BSOD can be stopped by pulling ou the phone line or waiting for a disconnect but the reboot thing just really ruins your day especially if you were walking around with nice UNequipped stuff when it happens,happened to me twice.

I *think* it only happens online. (I'm not certain about this, but I never got it until last night, and I had previously been playing mostly offline.)
It isn't a frequent occurrence, is it? I don't want to have to run to the bank every time I find something rare. --;
