Friend can't access the player shops

I have a friend. She's trying to access the player shops, but can't get past the PIN entry. How can we fix this?

Sooooo has she set up a pin or did she forget the pin? What is it that is stopping her from not getting passed the pin?

She says there are three fields for confirming the PIN, while every guide she has read only shows two, including the guide you linked.

If ya'll have screenshots, that'd help. Otherwise if she has a smartphone, download the google translate app, take a pic of the screen in question and have the app translate it for you.

The first is asking for the original PIN, the second is asking for the new PIN she wishes to set, and the third is to confirm the new PIN.

She says she's never had a PIN. She hasn't played in years and is getting back into the game.

Even though she has come back, could it be possible she entered random numbers on a whim when she played before?

Pretty sure you need a pin when you first want to use the player shops don't you?

Honestly, it's been so long ago that I don't recall if she was still playing when the PIN was instituted.
