Havent played for about a year and feeling a lil bit lost with all the new content can someone shed some light on what to do with EP4. im a lvl 72 braver/hunter is it even still viable of a class? i have a 12 star katana is there a 13 star i should be farming for?

BR/HU is always a viable class combination.

13* weapons are now really easy to get onto due to the release of Collection File. Look for Pudding, the one stands on the right side of Koffie. One Collection File for a 13* will need several drops; you can either kill stuff and pray for RNG, or just kill many of them to fill the progress bar to 100% and get it. RDR booster, Triboost and such also boost bar filling rate.

For now, you should get a Ray katana Collection File and start attending Profound Darkness EQ.

While the 13* Rays are good to get the time it takes to get just one you more than likely could've gotten a Revluco and +30 as well as 60 ele it. They are also something you can get from collection files as well as SHAQs, with at least 10 risk I believe. These are like Live weapons except without the All Class part their pot is just a straight damage buff.

Another thing introduced awhile ago was NT, or New-Type, weapons. These change up how you grind them. Now you grind by using other weapons, don't have to be same weapon or even rarity it just helps, and a lambda grinder/grinder per weapon you add. At levels 10, 20, and 30 you need to use a Photon Sphere to continue grinding and upgrade the pot. As an added bonus NTs never fail when grinding you can only increase chances for how much exp a weapon gains from the grind.

Get one orbit bow and austere katana with its set. You're done for your new goal. :D

You should get Revolucio Katana / Bow because they're REALLY easy to get and 60% element it.

Grind it by feeding +20 10* NT weapons. Grind the 10* NT weapons by feeding other 10* NT junks you got from EQs.

In terms of power level, Revo weapons have comparable power level to Ares weapons, so you will not have any problems participating in difficult contents.

In terms of elements, all mobs from now apparently are weak against wind. Some of the mobs are weak to other elements too but still weak to wind. So you probably can deal with the default Revo weapons element, which is wind.

The potentials are great. Katana has 8% JA bonus while the Bow has 9% Weak Hit bonus.

Not to be offensive but you're talking as if they're easy to get without gimping yourself in the long term.

Austere weapons require 400 Caligula Fragments. If you do 4x PD per week, you'll get 24 fragments per week, which translates to 17 weeks of farming. In that 17 weeks he'll suffer and his MPA will suffer because of his low damage with existing weapons.

Orbit weapons require 90 Torana and 180 Pleiades stones. If you do mining base perfectly you'll have it in 30 Demise runs. However, Demise is probably only being held 2x a week tops. which means you need 15 weeks to get them too.

This is assuming you'll attend EACH AND EVERY 4 PD and 2 Demise run that week. (Which is often impossible due to real life obligations).

Those weapons are luxuries (AKA maximum swag), not something you should recommend to newbies players.
