Help on replying to a JP mail

Since somebody bothered sending me a mail thanking me for the friend request acceptance, I thought I'd atleast reply back. I know what the contents of the message are, but I just don't know how to japanese. Simply put, I want to write back something like "Nice to meet you, too. However, I'm sorry, I cannot read japanese.", but I just don't know how to write it.

Its just a polite thing Japanese people say very often to each other, there is no direct translation for it in English...I think they would understand if you replied in English o_O
