Tweaker quantum update deletes half of the game

so, tweaker new patch method finds 12k of "legacy files" and plain deletes them.

Now my pso2 fodder has 23gb, having half of the game deleted, and downloading all over again, instead of just 2,5gb....

This, right now total files to dl 12532, 9700 files dled, 2800 left to dl, and 7.20 gb total amount dled.

i just use the .bat file and manually patch shit. fuck using the tweaker at this point.

Finished (all left is test after servers go up) ended dling 9.0 gb aprox and installation folder is 30.6 gb now.

Here's what the QUANTUM METHOD does:


Removes old unused files from Alpha and Beta days, thus freeing up HDD space.
Downloads really really fast

FYI, Old method of the older tweakers will also download a 8.75GB download.

No, it doesn't. The information about the legacy files are not saved and lost forever so it's impossible for the updater to redownload them, even if it wanted to.

FYI, It really is downloading 1994 files again for this update. And we have 63 legacy files since last update delta.

No, but everytime I tried to load Area 1 in Beach Wars, my game would crash. Missed the EQ. I don't know what the hell is going on. I also got a gameguard error earlier and my display driver crashed shortly thereafter.

Apparently after the 2.3-2,5g whatever it did, i have 11,498 missing files that are now reinstalling. For whatever artificially fake reason they had to go and create for no reason.

Oh well, free is free and dumb is dumb.

If the 11k files go missing, if it is redownlaoded will that fix the issues if it loaded prior?

I could get to the opening screen and chat but not the game itself. Will downloading those 11k missing files help?

I got a 8.97gb total of download file and suddenly paused itself only to be linked to pastebin. I wasn't really surprised to the contents, since I've been checking the my pso2_bin folder which made little to no progress at all in terms of size and a total waste of time.

today the tweaker popup a new version message which asked me if I would like to update to 3.0.9.3, this one is not using the quantum update method

but since the first launch after update, the intro video was gone, and I could not see the preview of my characters at selecting screen

so I've decided to run the file scan again, using the "check for pso2 updates (new method)", but nothing happened... the function was broken

sadly I've to run a full scan, and turned out about 9.2Gb of files were deleted and missing...

I was able to run the game with the one using quantum update method yesterday, don't know what's wrong with this 3.0.9.3 version
