View Full Version : A question about skill tree

Hello.
I just started playing PSO2, and I was just playing without reading any guides, just trial and error. And I was also spending my skill points to get some skills... well, after googling something, I was really surprised that you need real money to just reset skill tree! Also I googled some skill trees example and I figured that I was learning some not really useful "talents".
Luckily, I only made it to level 22.
So my skill tree now looks like this:

What should I do now? Will bad skill choice affect gameplay in a way that it will be better to delete character and start from a beginning?

Sadly yes, especially considering that you haven't gotten brave stance yet and maxed out critical (which optimally should be taken later)

Does this looks like a good skill tree? (http://arks-layer.com/skillsim/skillcalc.php?11dAbxIobxIobxIobxIobxIobxIobxIobxIo bxIo0jdodBIbl2dBbxINfqnIdJkrKI20000006doInI2bndAbo fJkrsHsfdAqB00000fdoib0000000fdo0000000Io00000000i oIn00000000IbIo0000000jdoIb0000000lo000000j)
And is there something else in game that I should be careful with, like skill trees?

Start a new character, you can have up to 3 for free. You can also delete the messed up character to free up the slot, but remember to send everything important to shared storage beforehand. Getting back to lv22 is really easy if you know what you are doing.

There will probably come some free skill resets coming. As far as I remember you end up getting 1 per character, so you should maybe make some fodder characters just to take advantage of it.

thanks for advice. I already got it almost to 22 in less then a hour, I just don't end up messing up my skills again. I guess it will be ok if I'll use skill tree from this guide (http://www.pso-world.com/forums/showthread.php?221527-The-Official-Build-Thread-Episode-3-Reboots-Rebalance-and-Reprisal-oh-my!)?

That guide is incredibly outdated. The build you posted before is fine, but my personal preferences go like this (http://arks-layer.com/skillsim/skillcalc.php?11dAbxIobxIobxIobxIobxIobxIobxIobxIo bxIo0jdodBIbl2IoiNGAqnIdJksXI20000006dOdAI2bndAbof JkrsHofdAqB00000fdoib0000000fdo0000000Io00000000io In00000000IbIo0000000jdoIb0000000lo000000j) (remaining 1 point on Hunter's tree can go to either Sword Gear, War Cry or, better yet, Iron Will; on Fighter's tree it's either Adrenaline, Chase Advance or extra point in Step Advance).
Step Advance is rather important for survival, as you're going to need to dodge a lot of instakill attacks when under Limit Break.
I greatly prefer Automate Halfline over Iron Will, because IW is RNG-based (75% is still not 100%. Heck, if this game says 90% you should expect 50% or less. Also, Never Give Up is essentially a reward for sucking). Automate Halfline doesn't protect you against singular powerful blows (as I said before, you need to dodge those), but it's really good for mobbing. Assuming you have enough HP (can come from affixes or unit bonuses) and DEF (mostly class level cap rewards), you can pop Massive Hunter and Limit Break at the same time, take out Double Saber and go ham. That doesn't mean you don't have to dodge, though. The important thing to remember is that if you take too many consecutive hits you may get less than 50% HP after healing, so Automate won't proc any further until you back off and heal manually. Removing Monomates from your inventory reduces chances of that happening by 95%, removing Dimates eliminates it completely.

that build is fine, the thing u wanna be careful with is your mag, because u wanna have 200atk if possible, a few points into dex won't kill u but ofc a pure 200 atk mag is better.

Nothing wrong with either of that. A level 22 character levels up quickly enough that this isn't an issue.

Now to op:
10/10 s-atk boost on the other hand is a waste. Considering this is still only a level 22 character, I suggest deleting and re-creating the character like other people said.

The important thing other than skill trees is your mag, like the poster above says. You get only 1 free mag per character so you want yours to have 200 points in an appropriate attack score (s atk for fighters), and 0 in everything else.

There is a fighter thread on this forum, I suggest browsing it and checking out builds that were linked in it.

Thanks to everyone who replied, and especially for mag warning. I appreciate responsive community.

I would like to add that starting over is actually very easy and alot of the quests they give us will launch you to lvl 35 in a day. So don't think it is too bad.
