Hi guys!

Question! The Company First4Figures has the Sega licence and wants to know if anyone would buy Phantasy Star Online Resin Statues!
I wanted to start a poll to see the interest in the forums.

They will have an official poll starting on Thursday June 15th in there official collectors club (link below) so if you want statues of dark falz, Humar etc. please join the group and vote next Thursday!
If they get 350 yes votes in their poll they will go talk with Sega! There is a lack of phantasy star collectibles and i'm sure there are other people like me who would love this! i just added a poll here too as i would think some people might not want to join the group to vote for whatever personal reason, Thanks in advance!

OP's post feels like advertising, but...
It really depends on whether or not they'll be scale figures, and how good their paint and sculpt quality is. Though, whenever I hear "resin", I automatically think "garage kit", in which case, not interested.

So broad as a topic title as "Collectibles".
Shirts and such I might.

Statues and toys, no. They just take up space and do nothing for me.

They would probably be 1/6 scale for like characters and maybe 1/4 for bosses I'm guessing ? And the quality of the sculpt and paint have been great from what I've got from them so far! But yeah just trying to get people who would want this to vote so it happens since there doesn't seem to be to many people in the club who like the series :(

Which Phantasy Star?

Statue of Magatsu may or may not be hilarious. May consider if it's a properly done Mother.

Edit: Volk HAVE released resin kits for PSO2 before. 1/8, but it happened. FOnewearl (http://www.volks.co.jp/en/charagumin/chara106.html/), HUnewearl (http://www.volks.co.jp/en/charagumin/chara117.html/). Even as a garage kit, they were expensive.

I would get a whole set of class figures if they were to do them in PVC (...and most major NPC and bosses). Polystone are just too expensive for smooth/low-detail characters like in PSO. There's no reason the following should have been polystone, for example: Kirby, Sonic, Mega Man, Pac-Man, etc; They just don't benefit from it at all.

If they make a perfect looking 1/2 or 1/4 figure that looks like my main, then I maybe pay that 400-500$ for it, but otherwise forget it.

Alenoir that's awesome i never found those before but i suck at painting so id rather have them finished instead of garage kits :P

preset, yeah pvc would be better they did the pvc breath of the wild link but unless they sell a lot it's not profitable otherwise they would

Tymek, i'm just a lurker i played with friends so i never really hoped into forums to talk :P

That I didn't know. Unfortunate. Well, hopefully PSO is silently popular enough to justify PVC to them. I at least would get a whole set if they were to go that far eventually.

edit:
Voting is now live! (https://www.facebook.com/groups/first4figures/permalink/1714710028823391/)

Set...?

I don't know how much western companies charges, but a ~1/7 PVC figure from Japanese companies all costs $120+ USD for the better quality ones nowadays. Depending on how much is in a "set", that can easily break your wallet.

If they managed to make one of each class for around the same price as the BotW Link (~$80/£60), then the cost would still be less than buying two to three of their polystone figures. Obviously there'd be time between each purchase, your wallet would survive. Quality-wise, BotW Link isn't high-end but it's decent.

Though that's looking irrelevant now since the voting is going pretty dire from lack of exposure. I have to wonder what kind of person votes 'No' to these things; Is opting not to vote 'Yes' not enough?

I'd love pvc of the classes since it would be cheaper yeah! but maybe for a grand piece in resin it would be cool to have a boss instead!

Also here is the link to the official poll so you can vote!

9 x $80 = $720. That's... a lot of money. Of course it'd be spread out, they can't magic up figures like wizards, but that's still a lot of money. If I'm going to throw that much money into it I'd like them in good quality, too. Otherwise I may as well just go grab the Volks ones and steal someone's airbrush to paint it myself. :x

And you know, the voting would have been fine if it was open to the public. I can't see any votes without logging into FB or joining the group or something, and I have absolutely no intention of doing it.

I own all the other statues in their Sega All-Stars lineup, and PSO is easily one of my favorite franchises.

They also base a lot of what they're going to make on these polls, so I hope everyone who wants one will go vote!

Yeah sadly it's a closed group and you have to join it to vote and post, i understand some people don't want to that for whatever reason that's why i made a poll here too but to make any impact you would have to join thanks anyways!

Looks like the poll is mostly for PSO1 and PSU. Ew at Guardians but I'd probably take any major NPC from PSO1 from F4F. Maybe some of the default class designs, but a lot are pretty meh, like Ash and God knows Elenor has enough merchandise already. In any case, so long as it's as good as their Shenmue statues it'd be a day one preorder for me.
