While the female part of most of the nominees is not really convincing, a lot of costumes designed for males look actually really cool and refreshing, and could def look good on girls too. Hoping one of them makes it for a good unisex costume !

thanks :) i was originally planing to design it for sword, WL and rod, but then they anuntiated Hero and i decided to better make it for the 3 weapons that hero can use because there is still not a single weapon came in game that covers sword, tmg and talis togueter

seems though that i wasnt the only one who though that, there are a lot of nominated designs with the 3 weapons, i love the design of the little dragon weapon camo on row 16, and the dragon arms in row 18, and both cover all of hero weapons, the little dragon specially fits perfectly both with the class and setting of ep5

Ah, the time of the year when you get to drool over countless fantastic weapon and costume designs, then have your dreams shattered as Sega picks more wedding dresses, fetish gear, near identical clones of existing outfits, enemy suits, gag weapons, giant transforming rifles and edgy katana skins.

Yeah that's pretty much my thoughts too. The only thing that's missing is stuff that is interesting conceptually, but no one is actually going to wear it - when's the last time anyone saw a character with the straightjacket+floating arms outfit, for example.

In terms of makeup/accessories, I am seeing patterns emerge. Prepare for an invasion of muscular, glistening, bearded, crying characters wearing tank tops, heavy boots and bandages - and nothing else.

People saw the glitched out shiny character textures after the Quna stage show and decided they wanted their waifu dolls to look even more like plastic.

Well none of this worked for me at all, in IE the page is just blank lol, so whether i use Firefox, IE, Google, or even Avast Safe Zone browser, none worked for me. Weapon camos. Should be fairly obvious what I and possibly EVERY PSO2 player want SEGA. So how about you throw us a bone already? Which means I think I found all the entries related to Rifle/Launcher camos, hard to tell I can't read Japanese and Google translate on my phone has a hard time with hand written kanji. Costumes. Wow out of all of those costumes I only see like FOUR I would possibly want, depending on how they looked on my characters in game. The last two are the same costume just male and female variant so if SEGA chooses it they should make both.

I'm really wondering how the votes are done yeah, though my guess is the first 3 are actually voted by SEGA staff while the others are selected randomly (via a RNG system), i mean sometimes you really don't get why some won/lost xD

Well, that means unlike the favorite character and favorite existing weapon contests, it's really fucking Sega that decides to give us shit instead of the good stuff every design contest.

I mean, it's obvious stuff too hard to implement won't be chosen but every year they ignore a ton of great designs that require no more effort than the crap they do choose.
And every year it's a HUGE disappointment. If we can't vote, tbh Sega should just hide the entries until after the select because like this it's nothing but trolling.
"Here look at all the awesome designs people submitted but too bad we won't choose the good ones. U mad bro?"

PS: This year the contest is kinda meh. The majority of entries for costumes, accessories and body paint / make up is lame.
As usual most weapon entries are great but the rest is mediocre, though there are still a lot more good entries than will be selected.
It's also beyond ridiculous how many one sided half cloaks Sega picked and how many variations of undershirts (far more than shiny/oily/sweaty skin) there are.

Considering people submit far more than what we see here it means Sega is heavily biased towards some items and think if they show as many entries of that kind as possible players won't complain as much when Sega picks those instead of better stuff.

And as usual, one hugely disappointing point is that Sega always selects a ton of samey items and items very similar to what already exists. Feels like half the outfits are like this. And for example there is a camo that is virtually the same as *Junkyard Dog.

PS: The quadruple wing accessory with the gold chain looks awesome.

So 1 weapon, 1 costume and 2 makeup that I wanted made it in, the costume being the lowest priority because it'll have poor colours and one of the makeup being useless without the accessory I want every year and they ignore every year (an alchemists belt). Great.

I'm glad I can at least say it is better than last years disappointment, considering I want more than just one of the winners this go around. But the sheer amount of stuff that seems to be a variation of what we already have seems ridiculous.

I wouldn't be terribly surprised if the reason they didn't pick a single oily skin one is because they actually already plan on adding skin shininess as an option down the road. Hence, letting one win here would just be redundant (not to mention, as a body paint it'd be more restrictive than just adding a skin specularity slider to the character creation).

What I am surprised by is that multigun camo actually winning first place. Too bad I don't like any of the other winners, but eh. I don't expect much from these anyways.

I'm a fan of 2014 costumes in general. To balance it out, 2016's costumes were the pits, with exception of the Brave robot. 2016 hairstyles were good though.

I never really cared for the weapon camos much.
