Hi all,

I started playing when PSO2 first came out, played for a while but ultimately quit out of fear of bring banned for not being from Japan... but it looks like i was afraid for nothing. How likely am I to be able to recover my character and account? Should I even want to, or should I start up a new toon?

And... what's changed for the English PSO2 community since i've been away? I don't mean game features, I mean the social aspects, and difficulties in SEGA's stance on us.

You played the game for 2 months? If you don't know your e-mail/username/password then you should restart.

Now anyone can 2 button report you if they want. Some people say all gaijins will get banned Soon™.

I dont remeber the actual date that I quit, we started getting Dark Falz emergency quests, so... December 2012?

And thank you, I'll go and see if my usual accounts name/passwords work after work today.

And that's a shame, it'll keep me from spend money on the game if there's even a slight chance of being banned for being a foreigner.

Quite honestly it is about as likely to happen as those jagoffs who were glad the report system was being implemented just so they could report terrible players actually following through.

SEGA KNOWS we are here bothering to ban potential revenue just because of THAT ToS violation is quite the boneheaded move. If they wanted us gone the easiest way would be a ip block like the JP version did to SEA players when PSO2 SEA launched. No they are really looking for the toxic players and hackers not so much the foreign player.

*edit*
Now onto your real question. Well don't be surprised when you join a team about only half of the members are actually active and the rest have either quit or are taking a "break". B1 of Ship 2 is the place where you will find your more vocal English speakers just hanging around chatting, which I recommend not going there when you are in a public place TRUST ME ON THAT. 9 times out of 10 the team's you join will have a discord or team speak they use to talk instead of in-game chat.

It's funny because if you go to any English ran server we'll be bitching about brazilians, filipinos, and other ethnics that are generally loud and then you see English players doing this nonsense.

Also it actually isn't funny.

Just a typical day in b1 right there all that is missing is someone saying the N word, meme SAs, Porn SAs, and someone looking for help.

I can guarantee you Japan is no exception. Probably the loudest people who talk shit about brazilians or whatever are the exact same people who do this shit the moment they become the minority. And they probably don't even realize it.

Thinking on it some more, being american and never being in a situation like this before, most of these people probably can't even register that speaking english could somehow be considered rude.

Except they either do it within their closed circle, when they're being anon, or when twitter is involved. They don't tend to do this out in public when they can be named, due to their culture.

Success! See you guys in Ship 2

Proof: 41350

What's ridiculous is how much easier it was to get my PSO2 account back after 4 or 5 years, versus trying to get my FF XIV account back after 2 years (I was never successful).

Yes, I've had my account deleted because of inactivity on other mmos. Pretty glad I don't have to worry about that here.

Anyway, welcome back!
