Good day everyone!

I am N0s, your friendly neighborhood Canadian!
Now, I didn’t know where to post this. I don’t even think this post is necessary, but I like to introduce myself whenever I join a community. Actually… I have been here before, back in my PSO days on the Nintendo GameCube™. However, this old account is long gone and here I am, in 2017, back to the good ol’ PSO with PSO2 on PC.

I have played PSO2 before, back in episode 2 and again back in episode 3 but I got extremely lost, already had a lot on my plate and never made it past level 25. It’s only this weekend that I finally decided, out of boredom and, probably, frustration from yet another version of PSO2 coming to Japan without any updates about a western release (Damn you, I want this on the Switch… like really want it [Shakes an angsty fist at the SEGA gods].)

Anyways, hello there, PSO-World! I am an old PSO fan coming back to the franchise. Did I mention how stoked I was to see they were at episode 5 now? It’s like seeing my own baby succeed. PSO was (and probably still is) my favorite game ever made. Yes, there’s probably a lot of nostalgia goggles syndrome going on, but I still love this game to bits.

Finally, after a few days playing PSO2 now, I CANNOT believe, I never gave it a better chance before this weekend. The game is a lot of fun, although a little confusing for new players when it comes to gear and progression.
All that to say, hi! Nice to meet you community!

If it isn’t too much to ask, can any of you link me to “Must have” information?

I am a level 37 Bouncer right, subclassed with Hunter for extra S-atk (Going DB). However, I am also debating the possibility of switching to Ranger 😊

Edit: I posted this thread multiple times by error because of a forum bug where my posts would never show up... Sorry in advance to the mods...

There is a walkthrough section nearby with some classes guide.

Best info page is this http://pso2.swiki.jp/. it's in moonspeak, but google translate can help you navigate.

https://pso2.arks-visiphone.com/ also good, up to date, but not as deep

https://sites.google.com/site/pso2db/home not up to date, but make sure you ready every skill of your class and every PA of your weapon.

Just level up for time being, you can worry about shit like gearing much later. Which gear you should hunt is seasonal, just try and ask again once you lvl 70 or so.

man dont see users like you that often anymore, nostalgic days.

Just remember if your gonna switch to RA that you only have one mag and depending how much you already fed it, you may need to buy (with real money) a new mag for that class. 200 in pure atk (or in this case Dex for BO) is the best thing to do for any class.

If you need some gear, grab the Seasonal Collection Files (Fornis Series) or any of the Buster Quest CF's as well. gl man

Welcome.

Just focus on a class you like first and max it up so you don't miss things that are specific to top levels. The items you may get can help other classes to level up easily.

From experience, Quebec is a pretty nice place though

You are going to want to eventually level RA (or another ranged class) and a T-ATK based class to level 75 so that you can unlock the Hero class (http://www.bumped.org/psublog/pso2-hero-class-preview/). This can be done on any character, so if you want your main to be S-ATK based, you can focus on the other classes on secondary characters.

Aside from the guides that have already been posted, Bumped (http://www.bumped.org/psublog/) has game news and some guides (although some are out of date).

If you have questions about specific things, it's always good to post those in the Quick Questions (http://www.pso-world.com/forums/showthread.php?213385-Quick-Questions-Come-here-for-quick-answers!) thread.

Thank you!
To be completely honest though, I am planning on potentially maxing every class eventually. As for limitations of doing that for free, I am really not against putting a few bucks for more mags and more Skill trees. ^^'
