Hey everyone! Just started playing PSO2, really excited! Just had a few questions pls sop i can aim my efforts efficiently.

1) I wanna make a dual blades wielding character that specialises in attack and speed (if possible) I cant decide which class would be best? Im def a swords user so im thinking Hunter? But i keep seeing Bouncer and even fighter dual blades builds and guides, and im not sure why i cant find a good hunter build for dual blades.

2) Im looking for a black Trench-coat item (all my characters in MMO'S and stuff i try to make them look the same, so the black coat is a must...ive seen a few PSO2 characters wearing the coat im looking for, can someone pls name me this item and where/how to get it??? (pic in link)

3) Where do i get the dual blades ability or weapons from?

Thanks everyone in advance!!!

In PSO2, the weapons you can use are dictated by the class you play, so if you want to use Dual Blades, you must be a Bouncer as they are the only class that can use the associated skills and Photon Arts (PAs) for Dual Blades. Fighter uses Twin Daggers, which are similar, but seeing as you are going Kirito in your style and aesthetic, Bouncer is the way you want to go.
That coat is リチュアルクロース影[Ou] ║ Ritual Cross Black Shadow [Ou] recolored to black (it original comes in either white or blue). You buy it from Player Shops.
You get skills from the class counter; you get PAs as drops, Player Shops, or the Excube Shop; you get Dual Blades as drops or from the Player Shops.

another Kirito hmm.... you wont get a speed attack from playing BO so ya, at least until sega increases normal attack speed down the road

I mean i do like his aesthetic yes, and i train in Kendo IRL, so when i first saw SAO the character and his style really jived with me, (i usually wear black mainly too lol...) so i like making my avatars look like that, but also trying to make it my own. (i dont name my avatars Kirito, Swords are also my fav weapon, especially dual swords. (Lancelot was my fav character in the movie King Arthur for that reason)

Thanks for the info guys, i totally thought Hunter uses dual blades but i guess they just use great swords...Can a bouncer also use a great sword? can i switch between dual blades and a great sword on one character???

If you play as either Bo/Hu or Hu/Bo, you can use the skills and PAs of both classes, but you are semi restricted on the weapons you can use. To use a Sword on Bo, the Sword must be either a Bo-usable or all-class weapon; in general, decent high end all-class weapons are few and far between.

Awesome thank you, is the coat and dual blades something i can acquire at the start of the game from the store?

I dont know how much the coat goes for as it came from a scratch that was quite a while ago, but you should be able to find a cheap pair of decent low level DBs for a fairly low price. There are other nuances to your weapon selection, especially for Bouncer, so it might be in your best interest to poke around at the class discussion thread in the gameplay subforum.

sorry for all the newb questions, but what is a scratch? Is that coat still obtainable?

A scratch is the real money lotto that they have where you can get costumes, accessories, hairstyles, etc; however, most people just buy the costumes from the player shops since playing the scratch is more about how much meseta (in game currency) you can get by selling the items from the scratch to other players. It is still obtainable as long as someone is selling it, but some items end up costing a pretty penny over time if they aren't revived in a new scratch.

To add a little more context to the answers to your third question: if you are playing as a class, most of the PA discs that drop will be for that class (the remainder will either be for the Gunslash weapon, which is all-class, or higher rarity discs for all classes). You can buy every maximum level PA and tech from the Excube NPC in the shop area for 20 photon excubes each, which may not be feasible yet if you are just starting out, but you should eventually be able to get all of the discs for Dual Blades.
