A new year means a new thread for all your fashion needs! I hope everyone is starting the year with an eye for the future, and ready to show off your new fashion! As to what Phasion/Fashion is, to quote TenebriS, who has made the thread in past years:

Fashion is for all of us a way to express our self and enjoy a different aspect of this game. By giving our characters personality through how they look.
Each of us, has a different view on fashion and what we like and enjoy. In this thread however, we can all come together to share our fashion with each other and also enjoy the fashion of other people. Of course everybody has a different taste to what they like when it comes to fashion, so always keep that in mind. What you my like others might now and vice versa.
But we can offer advice and our opinions in form of constructive criticism, to help others improve their style or get a different view on it. This has helped many people with their characters in the past. Together we can work out great things and we should try to help each other, even if they sometimes do not want to hear it.
It would be nice to see some more constructive criticism this year, so if you have some, share it!


If you are new to the game, or just unfamiliar with the options available in-game to spice up your shots, here are some tips for getting the shot you want:

Camera Angles:
[spoiler-box]While it is possible to get some good shots using the default game camera, it can often times leave a lot to be desire, but luckily the game does have an option to create custom fixed cameras.
To do so, open up the Quick Menu (by default Middle Mouse or Select/Back on a Controller), and pick "Camera Select;" once you select one of the three Fixed Cameras, you can rotate around and zoom in/out on your character using the on-screen options.

Facial Expressions:
[spoiler-box]Sure, the dead, fish-eyed glare into the abyss can work for art or supermodels, but sometimes you want your character to show a bit more life in their face, so here is a quick way to get that done using chat commands.

Typing "/ce" will get your character to look directly at the camera; by default it only lasts for 10 seconds, but by typing "/ce on" it will stay on until you log out (or until you type "/ce off"). If you want every character to look at you, you can type "/ceall on" and all eyes will be on you.

If you want to add a facial expression, you can add a number after "/ce" or "/ci" (note that all expressions except 7 and 9 will have your character moving their mouth as if talking):

/ci2 || /ce2: Smile
/ci3 || /ce3: Angry
/ci4 || /ce4: Sad
/ci5 || /ce5: Suspicious
/ci6 || /ce6: Eyes closed
/ci7 || /ce7: Default without moving mouth

If typed as "/ce# on", your expression will last until you leave the area or type "/ce off".


If you use the "/ci#" command, there are several other modifiers that can be used:

By default, when using the "/ci#" command a cut-in windows will appear, but adding the modifier "nw" will remove it.
You can determine how long the expression will last with the modifier "s#".

Adding #1-5 after "/ci#" will have your character's eyes look in certain angles.

For example, having the command "/ci9 4 nw s30" will have your character winking while looking down for 30 seconds with no cut-in window.

Hiding the UI:
[spoiler-box]By default, when you take a screenshot of the game you have the UI visible in the picture, but there are a few ways to get rid of it for your shots:

Hit Ctrl+Print Screen and the UI will be hidden in the screenshot.
Disable the UI for screenshots in the Options Menu; the option is located in Basic Settings, under Screenshot Settings. (http://i.imgur.com/8vg3526.png)
Use the chat command "/uioff" and it will disable the UI in-game; (https://youtu.be/ozDUmAx494Y) you can set the amount of time you want the UI hidden by adding a number up to 600, so typing "/uioff 600" will hide the UI for 600 seconds/10 minutes (you can re-enable the UI at anytime by accessing the menu). This is particularly useful for taking screenshots with an external program when using post-processing as the game will not capture them.

By this logic, I require every costume that were originally designed for the male slot but getting a female version anyway to disappear from the female slot. Because female charas don't need any pants, vest or anything that would make them look remotely masculine right ?

EDIT :But yeah this Ba is pretty bad still on its own still xD. Hey at least it allows male charas to make us of some of their innerwear, which let me come up with this casual/pajama look

The inner for the Heart Effector is basically a strapless one-piece bathing suit:

But I do agree, it does look more like a long shirt than the intended mini-dress, and goes best with something that simulates pants or shorts.

Technically the forum will resize the image to not stretch the screen, so a spoiler box isn't absolutely necessary, but it has just become common courtesy to prevent each page from being super long with images.

Is nice, yes.

I'm so glad to know somebody else knows about RWBY!!

Penny was my favourite character so I just had to try and recreate her. Its still a work in progress. Thats the closest basewear ive found so far that does her feet right.

Awesome, I think I may go with the second one you found just purely because hopefully a witches hat will hide that and they are quite unassuming. Can never be perfect, unless of course they do a Little Witch Academia scratch one day in the future (doubt it). I did originally look through the swiki but it's quite a big task and I must have missed this one so thank you so much!

The only things that I dislike about Galahad are that he's blonde (which is a gripe of personal taste, so you can just ignore that) and that his facial features (namely the eyes and mouth) look super scrunched at times.

However, that may be an issue with either lighting or how the game renders faces - there are a couple pics you've posted (almost all of the ones you just posted, in fact) that actually seem to fix this issue and actually make him look kinda cool.

But yeah - me no like scrunchy face chars. Too much space on the face that goes to waste, methinks.

Well, can't really help for the blonde part xD. For the face tho, I've actually corrected a little while ago. I originally wanted a large face to go with larger features but it was kind of a bit over the top, so I made all of that look a lil thinner in the end. Current hairstyle also partly covers the face which prolly contributes to that even more.

To me, the creepiness of the eyes comes from how they look like they are being forced wide-open like some kind of creepy doll (especially with the way she is always staring straight ahead in your shots), but I feel that combined with the makeup and general aesthetic, it works really well.

I wouldn't say so. Just a personal preference in innerwear I guess? I use the same innerwear on some of my chars too, but when its visible i tend to pick one that looks closer to underwear. Then again, maybe you just like it that way.
Overall the character looks fine to me. O: The color of the dress goes nicely with the character I think. :)

Ever since I switched to using all classes in one char, I wanted to use a different outfit for each class build I'm using.
Recently finished a set of outfits that I'm satisfied with.
Hair and accessories are the same in each, at first I was trying some variations, but since I started using this hair and hat combo, it just feels like something's missing without the hat. ^^;

Well, this is something of a departure for Alessandra - she usually leans more toward the sexy/revealing stuff - but I really like this costume and it works for her, I think. Thank you; I wanted to go for more of a porcelain figurine look. Outside of the salon, though, it actually isn't much of an obvious difference as certain lighting will still highlight the underlying pink that the skin tone has.
