Konnichiwa minna-san.
Here in this topic I wanna to chat about gamer's best friends (slaves^^) - gaming gadgets like a mouses, keyboards and gamepads which you use to play PSO2.

I'm using Razer Nostromo + Logitech G600 combo.

Nostromo's sill pretty well. I'm forced to use it 'cause new Tartarus and Orbweaver have a shitty side d-pad which I use most for moving.

G600's dying. I like it's ring finger 3rd button which I use for a "Jump" binding 'cause Nostromo don't have a comfortable button for that.
But side 12-button block is pretty shitty and doesn't fit for active using. It's completely useless in games like Tera and Blade and Soul. But in PSO2 they are fine with subpalette bindings.

I created this topic 'cause I don't know what to do now. I can order another G600 from Amazon while there left some but I'm a little bored with it.
Well there's no any other MMO mouses with side 12-button block and ring finger 3rd button simultaneously besides G600. But I've found a pretty interesting thing:

I can order it from Japan. But there just too more but's comin'... so I dunno. I welcome all opinions about this here.

And please don't forget to share which gadgets do you use for PSO2 playing with their pros and cons.

Regarding your dilemma, the best advice I can give is that if you have the money to spend, then go with something different than the tried and true; the worst that can happen is that you are stuck with something that doesn't meet your expectations.

I grew up as a console pleb, so I use a Frankensteined XBox One Controller with a generic 3rd party chatpad (https://imgur.com/ngNqy3r) and this thing (https://i.imgur.com/aEAKNs1.jpg) attached to the back (functionally, they both work well, but their build quality has lead me to need to use some electrical tape to keep them in place). The chatpad serves as my quick access to the subpallete and several other non-Quest functions (like switching between Fixed Cameras), while those extra paddles are mapped as my L3 and R3. To get full functionality, I also use Joy2Key so I can use other keyboard shortcuts (for example, I have D-Pad down as my function shift, so it turns the face buttons, triggers, shoulder buttons, and L3/Left paddle into the numpad numbers for quick weapon switching, plus R3/Right paddle is Ctrl, so I can also use my chat shortcuts).
It's not an elegant set up, but it does what I need it to do, plus it did only cost me ~85USD (even then, 50USD of that was from a gift card).

Well I played with gamepad PSO:AOTY/PSO Portable and can say that isn't my thing. I prefer precision camera control and "one press - one action" functional.
Gamepad playstyle relies on active use of lock-on targeting system with camera following target which is step back in non-target (pseudo of course) mechanics.

UPD: My current setup give me aviability to lookout with mouse, jump, switch sub-pallet, use subpallet items, and attack with right hand simulateously while moving, using PAs/Collect items with left hand. 7 actions at once.

UPD2: I definitely should try to switch bindings for "Use" and "Common attack" (LMB) functions. Despite the time of habituation, this should increase the overall effectiveness when all the active attacking actions will be committed with the left hand.
