Not a whole lot of anything in this update outside of salon tickets costing SG instead. Game is in the zzz phase.

Hopefully they'll rise the cap to Lv.85 soon and not stuck years on the same level.

What's the appeal of an increased level cap? It will just make things worse when it comes to maintaining alt characters and classes, at least in my case. 80 is more than enough. Just build all the content around 80 so power creep at least slows down and I don't have to keep leveling classes just to play something different in certain content.

Knock on effect from the previous Arks Live One More's 77 up vs 269 down

you mean knock on effect from all of episode 5; it's been a high amount of dislikes on nearly everything since it started

anyway; what I came here to point out was that they are extending the Buster Medal B exchange, Evelda files, and Aura files from March 20th to May 9th.

this kinda tells me there is going to be some sort of major update around then; but also it tells me they originally planned that update for March 20th...... come on sega...

It was getting better somewhat but the last stream put them below 50% again.

May 9th is generous though, they might need to shut down and do a PSO2 ARR if this keeps up

PSO2 ARR, wonderful joke. January is one of the worst months for pso2 overall; most episodes lack content at these months.

Yeah, EP5 has been off to a terrible start balance-wise, but it's actually one of the Episodes that filled its start the best. Just a quick comparison
-EP3. After Magatsu and Kuron, we waited forever for anything remotely new and interesting. The wait just felt better because story updates were actually compelling enough to make the wait more bearable.
-EP4. Oh boi Tokyo field for several months, followed by Yamato snorefest that was only made good for rewards, then a huge amount of nothing until PD rework. It kinda kicked off after that
-EP5 As much as I dislike how they milked BQ and how poorly they implemented it, the quest itself still had a lot of potential and was fairly fun at the start. We also got campaign boosts, which granted are just re-using old quests, but were fairly fun and rewarding. We also got Dragon raid and a Brand new LQ with its own new field right after.

While I kind of agree EP5 is a shipwreck, I still think it's rather due to poor implementation and poor balance than lack of content. The new content is coming fast, it's just not enticing enough.

They missed their chance with PSO2 EP4 REBORN

They missed their chance with PSO2 EP4 REBORN

its ironic i hate EP4 because of the art direction took( and all my complains even today) but in terms of gameplay were amazing ( except tokio and falz mother )

in EP5 is viceversa : aceptable story but slacky in gameplay . the BQ become tedious after 3 rounds straight , they could add a MOBA version of this . or even give the support partners importance again , like become a tool of assistance while they are alive in BQ ( like the shironian soldiers or any NPC in trouble)

dislikes on yt videos have a bit scary nature, because everything will be instadisliked as soon a its uploaded
Remember videos for "your favorite story moment" selection, that you can't see without link from the event page? They all had exact same +-1 dislike amount.
One of dengeki streams had around six hundred and rising dislikes. Ichitaro stream was downbombed days before it started.

ep4 had a set of system additions (NT, CF, rings), graphic improvement, lower but still quite the amount of fields (whose enemies and bosses still sustain all event quests), and its new class didnt flip balance so much that they would have to flat out buff all other classes seven times with no end in sight.
Half a year later, ep5 still has the same buster quest, portable feral AIS mode and dragon.
I think that should give clarity on why natives arent warm to ep5.

Not to mention that MHW is made to drew most of JP players to. Gotta admit that MHW is far more interesting, as expected from the PSO2 Killer.

can they just focus on new PAs and type-0s or Classes and Weapon categories? I swear they only focus on cosmetics and LAs

FFS. 80% of the video is purely cosmetics....with a little bit on some gameplay changes, a little bit on pvp, and thats it.

Why would they?
They have no incentive to focus on balance, they throw little pitty sprinkles here and there but in reality they dont care one bit.
The sword is the most OP weapon in the game.
The prices of elegant and noble power are skyhigh, worse than they were before, because of this.
Fashion gets people spending money, whether its 30m for a mildly wavy ponytail of 60m for an attack boost affix.
They dont care, they just pump out what gets people scratching.
Its either people whaling on good scratches to make money for affixing or fashion of their own.

All they do is recycle and drip feed.
Dripfeed dripfeed dripfeed.
They just want money,so dont expect any genuinely worthwhile gameplay changes.
You get like 4 worthwhile changes every 4 months at this rate lmao.

Gee man, i forgot about the wave of buffs that most classes got before.
Nasty sega, announcing stupid stuff for march, who cares for new skills, level cap. Maybe its time to move to another grinding game..

Despite the snark, Wahahaha is correct. Class changes take some time to do. A little tweak can have people doing EQs in a min 30 seconds like with Mother. In between this time we get the scratch updates and tweaks which is way more then any other MMO does. It is easy to get frustrated over but the scratch is what makes Sega money and them seeing the lack of people buying the tickets would incentivize them to work a little faster but remember, they are sticking to a time line which was set in a previous live broadcast. They probably wont rush that unless things get really bad. The fact they are doing the skill update with level increase was probably a rushed decision of content meant for episode 6 instead of doing mid episode 5 due to the obvious disdain for episode 5. They had to rush content to keep people interested.

Apparently their development schedule is usually one year or more ahead, which explains the incredible rigidity in urgent changes. See this episode? Its already laid out, so if they decided that in 2018 you farm minirappies, SSA and exp points for dark blast, only Fujiyama eruption or hero backslash will make them shift a few bits this month and not in the planned 4-6 months away.

New PAs and type-0s go to pvp mode now. You'll have plenty of new cool moves on second dark blast mode soon, thats where base game endeavors currently go.

Its not like lvl80 players don't already overpower lvl80 enemies so much that five times boosted raid only changes from instant to reasonable.
Theres new techs in summer, but they already succeeded in making me fear any new stuff. I dont want new stuff anymore. Almost 100% of possible raids and emergencies are completely inferior and will be matched with less people than featureds, and whatever quest that currently manages to gather MPA will be either switched off soon or fall into dusty bin of Stuff that isnt updated anymore.
