Now that most of us have gotten to do the first run, what were your thoughts on it? To me by far the best raid best this episode. Apprentice/Loser combo was a lot of fun to fight through. Sucks for classes that can't get super high in the air or keep up with the boss though. Did not anticipate 3 runs on the first EQ either

Also all the Falz Reveries drop from this EQ so if you want to aim for Mana Reverie, this EQ will hopefully remedy the build for you

still not used to the pattern so i missed so much chain on the EQ.

btw, with 5 elements changing, from light wind fire electric ice, rip with shien / guren / phrase weak, (additionally DB bouncer). unless you got that rainbow set for that

and for those who spent so much meseta on elder reverie or save it in inventory. RIP. All of reveries drop in this eq

It's good to be a Fo/Te sometimes. Seriously, this is probably the easiest final boss to date of an Episode to date.

For an XH lvl 90 eq, I was not expecting the eq to be pretty easy.

Indeed. That was a really fun and dynamic fight with some surprises (three stages instead of the announced two, time stop not only during the Luther's phase but even on the final form, a really big load of HP, ...). Maybe a little too easy but that will be my only complain about this Boss. I can't wait to fight the other masks. :-)

I enjoyed it, but yeah, it was pretty easy. I died twice, once becuase I got cocky relying Automate to proc and got hit with a strong attack while I was at ~55%HP, and the other becuase I wasn't really paying attention to his OH-KO burst; for comparison, I had a good 4+ deaths on my first runs of [PD] and Deus. That said, I liked how hectic it felt and enjoy the shifting between different masks. Also, I got Weapon Form passes without having to deal with Masquerade, so I'm satisfied.

This is probably a test ground to see how players fare againts it on XH. Here's hoping its UH variation is a lot more nuts to deal with like Masquerade lol

I think this EQ was bad. Most of Persona's Attacks felt like directionless flailing in the air that only hit you by accident, rather than directed attacks. The music in the first two phases was also just he respective falz but without the energy which is like this really big thing PSO2 music has going for it that is now missing, Second phase sounded a lot better but this is still nothing compared to how much fun PD was. Not to mention that Persona suffers from the same problem as Loser where he just doesn't deal enough damage and by the time he starts doing so Arks Level 2 kicks in. Can't wait for the inevitable Trigger Drop in a few weeks that'll end up fixing most issues by his attacks being tougher, without Arks Boost and directed towards a smaller group and thus feeling less random.

Omega Masqarade is more fun.

I didn't even get to fight this boss but just looking at a video of the fight it just seems uninspired and not very fun to fight really. Listened to all the music and it seems very bland for such a major EQ. I'm sure when I actually get to fight it will be disappointed as well. The bright side is the drops are at least good~

Eh. Another floaty falz fight in a pocket dimension. At least Profound dankess had cool, somewhat inspired moments.
After fighting loser in EP2, then fighting him in omega again, just to fight persona in the same fashion months later makes it leave 0 lasting impression (watered-down luther being his second form really didn't help my opinion).
The fight also seems to lack... depth? The entire thing was just hit the obvious weak point, and dodge the obvious attack.

Most redeeming part of the fight was in one of the forms, they mixed saxophone into the theme.

I want more saxophone.

So what stones drop rate is like for you? I'm asking because I run rdb 300 + tri 150+timed but I will have to go back to classic 250 + tri 100/125+timed combo soon.
Got 6 voucher per run and 7 stones. I fear the normal stone rate to be more like 2 per run :/

EQ isn't too bad ... just confusing. Like many, I was expecting a tougher fight. Cubes rate and reverie fodders are neat at least.

i played techer and nobody died outside of failing the dps check around like 25% or whatever.

not a very good way of testing new content but ok

Persona has 2 DPS checks back to back, brings out a small orb, if successful he brings out a massive orb, if successive you get a free downtime period to damage him. If not successful BOOM

I only made it online when there was about 2 mins left of the last showing of the EQ, tried to find an XH group, nobody there so jumped to SH with <1 min left to see if I could find anyone. Three including my character, but by the time I hopped out of the campship, the other two had bailed already. Figured I would see what the fight felt like, so didn't top up my boosts or even bring a half-doll, just started it. As a 'casual', playing Ra/Hu (and nowhere near the stats/numbers/gear/etc you guys run), figured it wouldn't be too pretty, so basically attacked when Massive Hunter was available, and ran around/dodged/etc when it wasn't (he always seemed to somehow clip my character with something if MH wasn't up, so I stopped wasting PP).

...anyway, fast forward 17 mins later, and thinking, "Cool, I cleared the first part. What comes next?"... Quest Clear... Not what I expected.

The only boosts active upon completion were 50% 45% Daily Tri and 250% RDR (no team boost or anything else, just those). Nothing useful from weapons/units, but I did get two Erebos stones and four weapon form change pass parts. Not too bad I guess, but not not sure how I felt about the EQ itself. Maybe this quest was intended/designed to be run without the ARKS boost? Seems to help almost too much. Or maybe SH is far easier than I remember.

Got to see that second DPS check, it looks extremely cool visually.

One major nitpick with this fight is Persona during his Persona mask phase ALWAYS goes out of the arena making it hard for melee to get his weakpoint. He does it a lot and it is incredibly annoying to deal with until he does Double's move of flying across the field. We had him fall over while being outside of the arena far from many people to hit him.

Loser at least only goes so far and Mother always stays in the arena, so its really bothersome that he just ignores the area and fucks off out of bounds until the Double move of him going upside down.

On my first run, he did this to my MPA too. What is worse is that, when he was out there, he attacked with a bunch of melee attacks that couldn't really hit anybody.

I am suspicious that there is a glitch in his AI.

I suspect the same here. He was out there but kinda doing the same moves like when he was in the middle.

Anyway just cross-checking, so this boss do two random faces and one final face which is the light-based one? or could there be more?

Yes, 2 phases based on the other Falz with their non-light weakness, and one "combined" [Persona] phase that is weak to light.

We don't even have a solid date for Ep6, just a Spring 2019 window.

I've had that happen before with PD and Loser in boosted Profound Invasion. Both times happened when a certain player in the quest had connection problems and the moment they finally got disconnected, the boss tried to catch up to where it should be.

If you don't care about Lightstream 15*, Lightstream units, Austere NT 15* or Astral Soul and Mana reverie Fodder there is no real incentive to run the Quest. There is definitely gonna be a rematch / Trigger version of the fight in a few weeks giving some actual incentives like Coat Edge Camo, Coat Barrel Camo and Coat WhateverTheTalisIsCalled.

the best gear (weapon wise) in game got released with this raid. if youre in need of GOOD gear you'll run this EQ. people dont necessarily need to break down this raid in terms of drops, if you were reading bumped or catching up with it or watching the streams the past month, you'd definitely would run this

He's okay, but kinda tiring to see another Loser type boss. At least Elder had the cool aesthetic of having to fight on a piece of a destroyed ARKS ship and players being slow enough for the attacks to be threatening.

Which one do you mean? I was going to ask about his final/last form one as well, where it is black at first (some runs I have seen people focus on it with WB/Chain while other runs they focus on the red 'heart' the whole time), but since that changes back to the base/white form, I am assuming you mean that one? I haven't seen it break yet, think that is just the bare form most likely, since the dmg doubles after breaking that black mask so I am guessing that makes the white mask an equal weakpoint (as the 'heart' dmg-wise), so would guess that makes it the base form/non-breakable, but I am probably not the best to ask about that.

As for the fight/strat as a whole, is it just:
Break any parts (orbs/arms/etc) -> break mask -> dmg face(?) til change -> repeat -> last form break black mask then WB/focus on whichever weak point is easiest to reach for most of the MPA (whether the red 'heart' or white mask/face when he is upside down)?

That seems to be the gist of what I have seen so far, but I don't play on expert blocks, so whether that is the 100% correct strat or not I am not sure. Just want to make sure if/when running with WB I am not leading the moths to the wrong flame.

Then again the only thing above [crap weapon -> excube] I have gotten so far was a single Nox weapon two runs ago, so assuming the good stuff is locked behind the new/future versions/difficulties (or my drop rate is just back to crap like usual). Think I saw one party member get a single 13* once (I place a party maker for randoms just so I can get the bonus drop rate ^^;), but don't recall what it was. Edit: It was the new 13* AR. You know, since my character was the one playing Ranger...:-(

It may not be new and I've just never seen it. (I've seen the Desert, Tundra, Hero, and Magatsu ones like a half dozen times each.) But they're parkouring through the forest with a Cast rocketing along.

Edit:vvv That's it. Weird that one's never shown for me. Maybe they forgot it in the PS4 port then recently added it in.

This EQ is kind of lame.
Floaty & very stiff attack that barely hit anything because he's way too big, unless it's very huge explosion or laser beam. Sometime even spent his sweet time attacking thin air in the background where everyone can't really hit him. At least his main form BGM is very good.

Seen this guy in mini reindeer suit with floating giant burger accessories couple of times during EQ doing backflip or whatever back then when mother & deus EQ just released. I wonder if it's the same guy.

Been that way since last year. I do think is a meme, though a few of them do seem to play normally instead of blatant trolling. But yeah, kinda weird that all these trolls use the same costume :/

They need to put a TRUE EXPERT version of this quest like masquerade. Deals same damage but just faster and deals status effect or something, higher drop rates and more Erebos stones dropping...or something incentive.

This sounds like World of Warcraft to me.
They can't even synchronise attack with it's animation.
When 3-rd form start to sucking players to ball I get damage about 0.5 seconds before it's detonation.
Same thing with Ultimate area attacks. When I see it I alredy died by it.

the reality though would be everyone would just try to leech off the good players in UH anyways.

Casual review: Fun boss, there are still some interesting mechanics that players need to pay attention to if they want to avoid having to Resta every 3 seconds. I noticed that the boss applies almost all sorts of debuffs (burn, shock, mirage, poison). Boss damage is lower than expected, except for some part where he dealt 4k something in one hit (possibly explosion of failed dps check?). His HP is low for a final boss because we defeated him in about 12mins in a non-expert group where people are still levelling up and use 13*s and 14*s.


I don't think they can make content that is highly challenging through requiring team work, class combination, like war cry brhu leading big attacks away, or precise positioning, because all classes and players must be able to finish all content.The "hard" point of making a boss difficult is how to achieve that without requiring a meta to overcome said difficulty. Players will always flock to the path of least resistance / path of maximum efficiency, which is pretty much the definition of "meta". There are ways to make the boss more difficult without requiring team work, however any content that is group content by design will always have teamwork as the "meta" for when it's too difficult to tackle as individual players just doing their stuff. For example, giving the boss more damage or making its attacks harder to evade will promote /HU meta or having a TE for Deband. Making harder DPS checks will promote the meta of builds with higher burst potential and lining those up with other players.

Some of you here are probably sick and tired of me being an armchair developer and repeating it in every thread, but there is a way to make the content more demanding without requiring even faster reflexes, harder dps checks, or making certain builds/PAs/Techs unviable: (a) Reduce all player healing. (b) Apply the Anga property of resisting most used element/weapon. I mean, the new solo UQ employs these (modified for PA/Tech), and it seems to be quite popular and well received.

As for UH, I think we can expect the enemies to be just like Diamos in EF; HP sponges with attacks that we either avoid entirely or we die. Sort of like boosted Profound Dankness, where grabbing people with its tentacle in phase1 or stomping them with its fists in phase3 would result in guaranteed multiple fatalities.

Difficulty in pso2 is always a mess, because what is currently called difficulty is actually just level segregation, you do not want and will not go to Super hard because you're skilled enough for it. No, its cause your level is now "eligible" for Extra hard, and you need better rewards from there to progress. Huge, inconsistent and unclear leaps in enemy stats certainly don't help figuring out recommended difficulty through anything but required level - that by itself probably a least important factor in players' skill and gear, especially with all the free exp in login rewards.
If you think about it, its absurd that they had to separate skilled players from unskilled through a test and various conditions to participate in the same "difficulty". Is ultimate more difficult than extreme?
If it was actual difficulty, you could choose it for any current quest for their level and receive actually different challenge for the gear/ability set expected to be on players for that level. Its probably not an issue for native players, as its just katakana flavour words for them, but still, why should outgearing Very hard make it as trivial as Normal?

It was said for each previous difficulty, so there's that lol.
The only tangible purpose in next difficulty is that it nets players whole new lineup of items to hunt, as they progress in levels.

With a hardly complete tangle of XH in ep4-5 and dead end in current equipment progression, I honestly can't imagine many changes in UH – theres just too much stuff to alter by now. Maybe thats the only place where caleidomechs and advanced rare bosses show up.

First try was a 2ppl run which timed out. We were really close but no cigar. The fight felt really exciting, I guess it was the music.
Had two full MPA runs today, those were a lot less epic but at least we cleared it and got the rewards.
I liked the old Olga Flow attack. Still wonder if you can break the little black orbs in the last phase.
I'm torn on this. We shouldn't be able to parry any of it, but thank god we actually can.

Just run this shit in real ULTRA hard mode.
When I start EQ I found boss invisible except few orbs and target marking...
I was lucky I was a Summoner on this.

So through all of my attempts so far (no Expert matching), I have only seen the damage check passed one time. I was about to ask a bit more about some specifics to clearing it, but from what I have read on swiki (as well as seen in one or two videos of sub-5-min runs) it seems that it is probably the better strategy (unless 100% positive your MPA can pass the check) to just attack the body during that time, since if the check fails all of that damage is lost? I have never once seen anyone (that I recall anyway) actually do this in any of my attempts so far, so was a bit surprised to read that.

Also, it is mildly humorous seeing multiple other Ra/xx characters in the same MPA as my character for the first time ever (more or less) since I started playing.

I've been in some of organized runs that tried to do that, but each time not everyone gets the message and attacks the orb anyway. I guess the idea is that if you break his body during the check, it staggers him, but I've never seen it happen so shrug.

This has been out for almost a month, 95% of the eqs Ive done and still no 14/15☆ drops, stones a plenty, 3 rears and 3 legs, arm unit none existent as usual, 13☆ drops have been mild but sorta dont need them with stones ive accumulated. Overall i still find this EQ fun with the exception of 2 of the Falz forms.

My preference: Apprentice(that sweet Saxophone play everytime)>Elder (great music, fun), Double=Luther (Zzzz), i find double and luther to be the most boring and worst to fight, i know each form pretty much does the sam thing over and over but Double and Luther just feel the exact same, waiting for those forms to be over with every time we get them.

Once i get my last unit ill attempt solo runs, dont feel like losing out on 3 runs an EQ yet

it's messed up when he aggros onto a melee player and keeps backing up to attack them, causing him to stay off the platform where most melee players can't even hit him anymore


however, it's hilarious when I can get him to aggro onto my synchro, and cause him to even face *away* from the platform too

EDIT: if they ever make us grind out 50 runs of a single-run schedule-only EQ for something like this again im just moving a character to another ship because nuts to that

Oh ya thats my other complaint about this quest now that you bring it up: when Persona goes off further and further away from the platform, especially when hes stunned back there. Its kinda annoying, ranged or melee

the best idea I can think of about that is if you are a hunter main with war attract, to use it and just back up a bunch to try and drag him back to the center of the arena

this works for me about 90% of the time

the other 10% he straight up ignores you and continues to attack everything in front of him, almost like he has all of his actions queued so if you don't react fast enough he won't move

Erebos stones excepted I don't notice anything different since I have the full buff...and even with it the fucking game did drop a lame 5 stones for my last run (pseudo buff + rdb + tri 125 +donuts+ umbla stick before boss death and timed).

Got 3 units so far (2 celestial rear and a arm BUT I want the LEG actually) and a quite supa dupa lucky run with a triple drop (redran 14*, 2 profund GS and one is 8s :3 thos am fucked for the 200 atk because shoot V prices...OMG ) but it was way BEFORE this 160% boost

I'm almost tempted to try to run it with just rdb 250...too much buff = bad buff?:-?

Edit: 5 stones again, shit drops and best unit slot was 4... despite to be clearly among the top dps (got Dark blast easily 1 or 2 mins before the rest of mpa so it's a sign I suppose). I always appreciated how efficiency =/= reward in this game. Was playing filthy summoner but still :v

now that you mention it, yes I got 2 units before the buff and lots of 13*, a few 14* too. Ever since the LQ came out and I maxed that bar, nothing has been dropping XD I only end up getting more stones but no 13, 14 or units at all lol

I am extremely sure this is the case for most enemies; ever since the days of trying to warcry goldies running to a mining base tower. enemies seem to have to finish the next move or three before they decide what to do next, and I know I see persona's main form use a few sets of attacks in specific sequences, so the idea might be to hit him with war attract near the end of one of those

25 cubes (instead of the 35/40+ off "boost") and 5 stones. The 160% is bullshit. Period

I do remember back when farming Ulti when Nemesis NT were newly added, I got better drops without triburst and using only the 250%. While the 13* themselves were in no way a reliable method to test this, the Galeru Stones from bosses at least were far more common without triburst.

While I think this is mostly RNG trolling, I also realized that...RNG is gonna troll anyway, so after a few runs of bad luck, I simply stopped using tribursts for drops and kept saving them for more reliable stuff like getting extra cubes, or filling CF easier. Otherwise, I just stick with 250% for most content. Not saying using it is a bad idea, but in my case, I dont have a reliable way of getting them besides free handouts, so I have to be picky when I use them. Besides, if RNG is going to smile to you, 250% should be more than enough for that moment :p

So done 50 runs got lightstream weapon, my summary on drop: 13* Sword, 13* GS 3 pcs, 14* Bow, 12* lightstream unit rear. RDR buffs 250+100+50.

so it looks like people are starting to skip the DPS check (which is fine by me) and continuing to attack the chest core instead since its faster to end the run with, not that the explosion is hard to get past.

im also inclined to believe the Erobos stones are taking spots away from my drops since i havent since a single thing aside cubes for a couple of weeks now, or just -160% RDR iunno

I swear I have not gotten anything of value from this EQ.

I got like 2-3 13* drops when it first came out and have gotten nothing but stones since.

I get sega wants to make it difficult to farm these end-of-episode EQs (since deus was kinda similar) but the complete lack of anything worthwhile dropping just really makes it annoying.

The only reason im really doing it at this point is because I have to 50 times for that stupid stone.

Yeah, I mean it's more beneficial to deal with the body. I actually went into a few pugs that can deal with both. It's even more efficient I think (probably, not sure) cause not only some people do hit the body, some others break the ball in benefit of stunning the boss.

But this is pug tho, maybe some organized mpa can go straight to when the boss releases its ultimate attack (which means only focuses on the body?), dunno.

@Flatflyer: The early drops are the bait (1st run, got takt +34 which I don't give a fuck since Zara/Rykros is the dream combo for me), that's why I always try to run new stuff day 1.

Back to PD era, only worthy drop I got were 2 invade units and then peanuts but cubes.

Same with Mother which never ever wanted to drop EPD until Mom/Desu eq happen (and got it after I had and affixed one from crest exchange obviously 0u0 ). Astra units? No sir.

Deus eq was more kind with me until it decided to drop a +34 talis the same friggin run I got the last one to +35 cf one (positive side is I had not to deal with upslot) :v No rykros drop until Mom/Desu (again after I got one from crest exchange).
Ended to +35 my Kazami katana not so long ago for the sake to get it to +35 and beat the 2k satk barrier of katanas while knowing Atra EX is near the corner and finally got it to drop from enchanted forest while I wasn't giving a fuck anymore and was after jutus which were refusing to drop.

Dragon EQ was kinda ok I guess since I got Demonia Sword when everyone was still running after it.

O.Loser. Nothing worthy.
O.Apprentice. // // but S pets but it doesn't count as it don't make you deal more damage :v

Current LQ drop mainly Fi weaps of all kind and rarity while it's the one I play the least. I'm still trying to remember which drop was any relevant with the main class I was runing this lq... Wait, in fact none was.

Currently there's well quite a bit of new content like 15* star weapons and new units etc etc.. to be honest there is not much going on at the moment to keep everyone busy unless you count masquerade which ends at stage 999

It's notoriously known gear is well affixed out of the box. I play regularily almost all class, have 3 characters to keep gear up to date while playing fremium so don't worry the game keep me busy way enough... (and my steam library have many games I've never played because of that :v)

an individual's drops are basically a speck of dust in the desert for this kind thing; about the only real way to get an idea on how much the 14*+ bonus was doing is if somebody had a picture of the drop record from the end of the boost week, vs what the drop record looks like now

even though we can't even see a quarter of what even drops on the item record anymore....

I did get a phobos TMG and a celestial wired lance since getting the boost to level 10

i've had a few mpa's skip it and go straight to the chest which made the last part of the fight go straight to his all or nothing light explosion faster but there were a few not paying attention and attacking the DPS core anyways

RNG.

They only removed the third scheduled Chocolate Way and from random rotation before the first Emergency Maintenance; afterward it was added back in.
The first maintenance fixed the affix for Weapons and the second one should have fixed it for Units.

yeah it looks like the solution to keeping him on the platform where everybody can hit him is to have a selfless hunter main in the MPA who is spamming warcry as much as they can and doesnt leave the center of the platform themselves.

they might not be able to attack him too well like that, but I would suspect that allowing everybody else to attack him easily should more than offset that


of course, the BEST idea is to panic him right off the start, break his chest as he recovers, break it again before he recovers from that stun, then burst him some more until he initiates the final sequence; but that's a whole different set of strategies

When looking through my storage yesterday, I realized I had actually gotten exactly one of each of the celestial units, though I'm not sure when since I tend to just immediately dump all EQ loot into storage and sort it out at a later date; I also seem to have 1 austere rear, 2 arms, and 3 legs.

If you don't want rely on RNG, Austere set (rear + arm) is a good alternative, the bonus is very close to Lightstream : 190HP/30PP/80ATK for austere vs 200HP/30PP/100ATK for 2 Lightstream. (but Lightstream have better DEF & resist than Austere)

I'm not sure it's about that though. Sega made us accustomed to the idea of hidden bonus stats and when the big guns come along suddenly it's just "look a those big fat numbers we ditched the bonus for completing a set".
"What set should I use" is probably the most common question I get from players. New players expect some sort of advantage to using a complete set and returning players are still in season 1-3 mode.

Hell make it 300! I have NOTHING to do with these stones anymore - especially thanks to getting a celestial weapon drop weeks back - besides... make reverie catalyst fodder in a less time-effective manner...?

Got 2 more legs over the course of super pso2 day bringing the total to 3 legs and 2 rears.

It will probably follow the same pattern as Loser and Apprentice, though. We'll most likely actually get a 12 man SG trigger version down the road, but obvously will come much later.

ok, just another rant;

The LQ boost thing are questionably rigged.

one day before 1st LQ boost thing, i got 1 profound weapon, 1 celestial weapon, 1 celestial rear on same time.
and then the LQ comes, i grind it into lv 10 because i have to 90 my alt chars. mistake were made.

during this boost (forgot how much %, not that i care), i never get any 13* or higher weapon again, no 12* units drop except this Autistere™. and then after this 1st boost ended, on next day i got 13* profound gunslash and celestial arm right away. gee i wonder who behind this. from this date until next LQ boost i got 1-2 13* profound every single run, either it's gunslash (mostly), talis, twin dagger, and wired lance.

today: ever since the LQ boost come (((again))), i accidentally lvled it to 8 because my team mate asking to run together. with this % boost fucker again i still found no 13*/14* or celestial unit. and yep, Autistere™ is back to the drop. i guess i have to wait again till this boost ended again, and rolling again for celestial leg.

All of my persona run uses boost on same manner assuming % boost from LQ and donut(or whatever is that from 2019 badge) is excluded;
50% Daily boost
10% Tree boost
250% RDR boost (excube)
125% Triboost (SG)

last 2 leg unit from raid-eq run were easy enough to drop (zeinesis/qliphad, phobos). but this celestial leg just took longer. praise the rngod

Goes up to 16, 72 million points per for 10% more RDR per level. Nothing actually useful like a shion unit drop boost.

I have 180% "boost"...I'm happy that some other people ended, like I do with the theory that when we get a "boost" campaign, sega nerf the base off boost drop rate...
The 2 legs units I got were when I was at level 5 or 6... erebos drop were not that much different that now I have 180% (I even got ONLY 3 stones to drop once when I was at 170%).
So all in all... sega got my rear again :mad:

ya he thinks they rival current units for some reason when essentially one unit outputs a little over double the hp than what crafted double units offer with the ability to use 2 other units of choice with more stats etc

hes either stuck in the past, lacks any knowledge of current gear or super mega casual iunno

well lets look at some data shall we (top tier 12* units)

rappy light light 977 hp 30 pp 100 atk and still a solid 10% resists across the board because of LS.. rappy offers no def but its absurd hp way more than makes up for it
light light light 300 hp 45pp 150 atk 15% resists
mask light light 200 hp 50 pp 160 atk forget masks resists but mask still solid defensively
austere austere light 290 hp 45 pp 130 atk def/resists a little lower than pure light but still a solid set.. cant use rappy or mask tho.. izane or bode leg still works fine with this too

yet 11* is still good to some people? okay aus 12* literally btfos its 11* self before rings

ya i pointed out Austere 11*/12*s already destroys it and i didnt recommend Rappy Shine because i assumed he was aware of it. his high tier crafted double units tho are superb? beats me man its why i didnt detail much because now a days, far superior gear has been released already, theres nothing to debate about it when considering Sega themselves havent exactly done much to crafting in forever, crafting is almost obsolete outside the few niches for stuff like weekly Lambdas, Crafted PA's/Techs etc

Why allow players to extend the lifetime of their old equipment, when you want them to log in on a bi-weekly basis for possible upgrades.

The hard part is to find something that: (i) is not permanent but requires "recrafting", so that it can act as material sink, (ii) will not make or break a character's performance, but will be sought after players who care about pushing as much as they can from their characters, and (iii) is original and not an already existing idea.

It would even fit the name if Extending could have been used to increase the grind cap of NT-weapons, but Sega just gave us the easy way of regular Dudu grinding. Then they added the way of 300 class cubes if we're unlucky with drops. Then they made 14s and 15s drop at +35 cap regardless.

Yeah I'm guessing some players are trying to reach the woke state of killing the boss during that attack because he only has 100m HP left or so, that's about one chain trigger amirite?

More seriously I see a lot of people hitting the heart instead of the ball of energy and it annoys me to no ends. But then again people not doing codes annoys me so...

Not new meta, but kinda something that only organized MPAs did. They ignore the dps check and attack persona instead so that he goes straight to his final phase of the fight (The part where he just stands there like an idiot in the middle).

Tin-foil hat theory: When Sega has boost events, they nerf drop chances by double the boost amount.
I'd subscribe to this. Pre-boost event: a few 13* weapons from Persona. During the boost event? Nothing, not even a single 12*. Decided not to bother with this boost event and finally got a celestial unit yesterday.

I have always felt that there was some wonkiness to the 12* unit drop rates. In the past, when there was a week with no RDR boost, 12* unit drops were pretty rare. Then, during an RDR boost week, my 12* units drops increased GREATLY (here I am thinking of Ray units in Amduscia UQ).

On a somewhat related note, this week in the Revelry LQ with the 158% boost, I have been given one 12* DF unit drop on almost every run.

For the record, I have only received one Celestial unit (one rear), but I have to preface that by saying I don't have my 50 run title yet (I haven't been able to play as much as I used to due to family issues).

Let me tell you about my pursuit of Izane units. When the Izane golden dog showed up in the seaonal EQs, I would get occasionally get a rear Izane unit or a leg Izane unit. I eventually decided that I wanted an arm Izane unit to be part of my new S-ATK unit set. So I started pushing RDR (250% RDR + triboosts) during seasonal EQs in order to get the arm unit.

Izane units first started dropping when Izane Katsuchi was introduced to the game in Trick or Treat! 2016 (which occurred in October). I finally got my first Izane arm unit during the 2017 Driving Rain EQ, which ran from May 24 to July 5 (I think I received the unit in June). So it took me 9 MONTHS to get my first Izane arm. I am feeling the frustration just thinking about it. Of course, after that, the arm units dropped about as often as the rear and leg units.

The funny thing is that I had a similar problem with Saiki units. I got plenty of rear Saiki and leg Saiki, but I didn't get my first Saiki arm unit until I received a one day premium pass through an apology campaign reward so I could purchase one (you needed premium in order to buy 11* units back then).

So, either RNG is a heartless bitch, or, like you implied, something else is going on.

The units are pretty uncommon.
I've reached 50 rounds 1 month ago and still been doing the EQ fairly regularly, so far I've found 1 rear and 1 arm celestial units total, I haven't found any leg unit (which is the one I want).

Similarly here... I am close to the 50 run mark. I have 1 Leg drop, and no rear or arm. I gave up and grinded/affixed the Austere units that dropped.

Personas #103,118,157,159,167 were Shion rears. #177, 199 and Trigger #5 for legs.

Up to 269 kills and still no fucking arm (3 Austere though!) Meanwhile others got the full set before the last boost week. Great game.

Doubting I even get an arm in time for march boost week, especially since the RDR week is after the affix boost week for some reason.

I got only 1 leg by the time I had 50 runs. After that I stopped keeping track and got almost 2 full sets within 3 runs(2 pieces dropped during premium boost day).No LQ bonus after 50th run either :/

Took me over 100 EQ runs and 3-4 triggers I bummed off of randoms for free to finish a set, and I'd almost consider my luck better than average... maybe.

Yeah, I've probably gotten around there now. 100 kills 3 triggers. Still not a full set. I got 3 leg units before I ever saw another unit. Then a rear finally dropped for me and it was austere. I wanted to cry.

Desire Sensor is at full power with this EQ. The only thing I've wanted from this EQ is a Redran S (well, that and the From Change Passes, but those are guaranteed), and I've ended up with 2 Austere Rears, 3 Austere Arms, 2 Austere Legs, 1 Celestial Rear, 2 Celestial Arms, 1 Celestial Leg, 4 Profound Takts, 7 Profound Gunslashes, 1 Profound Sword, and 1 normal 14* Redran. I'm not even sure how many runs this has been in, though I hit my 50 within the first few weeks.

The SAF on those weapons is Reverie Catalyst. So they're quite good if you can find one at 7 or 8 slots (I've found a few with this many). It's also the reason why you can buy an 8 slot Reverie catalyst on the market for much less than the other catalysts. (find a 7/8s profound weapon, grind it to +35, move the SAF/catalyst onto a marketable weapon, profit).
