Warning: This Preset requires at least a GTX 1660 Ti or RX5500XT Graphics Cards to get 60+ FPS at 1080p. Anything below this will have performance issues.

Equivalent Graphics Cards in terms of Ray Tracing
GTX 1660Ti = GTX 1070
RX5500XT = RX 590
Anything higher than this especially newer generation can handle Ray Tracing just fine.

v2.1 Changelog:
- Ray Tracing Count Toned Down a bit for "a little" better performance
- Warm Weather Tint is now removed
- Color Ambience is now relying more to Light Source
- Character Light Ambience will now look balanced at 100% Camera Light Slider In-game

FIRST TIME RESHADE USERS, READ THIS FIRST:
1. Make sure your PSO2 Client is not installed on Drive C (System Boot Drive where your Windows OS is located).
2. Make sure the pso2_bin folder and its entire content went under "Take Ownership" Privileges to avoid in-game problems.
3. Make sure you update, and launch PSO2 Client using PSO2 Tweaker from now on (original PSO2 Launcher will not launch if it detects Reshade).

The colors are way too dark with Global Illumination and Color Correction on in ReShade. Are there any settings that I'm missing? I made sure to match the settings in NVidia Inspector to yours. Additionally, Global Illumination creates this huge halo around 2d icons, like target selection icons and parts of the craft menu.

I'll be honest, I'd rather have better color and 120+ FPS than pseudo ray-tracing with depth issues.

What performance hit should we expect with this?

More than running the actual game.
A 1070 will barely handle 1080p@60 for sure.

Yes, unfortunately - Pascal-based GPUs are suffering significant frame drops on this so anything lower than these GPUs will definitely suffer drops, I don't know but with GTX 1660Ti - I'm getting 70FPS at lobby if I unlock it. But I always prefer Eye Candy over Frames so I always lock my FPS to 60 since I am not a competitive player by nature.

This is just a starter pack to show you how the RT Shaders would work on PSO2. Its tailored around my PC system so its most definitely differ with the results of my settings as any Reshade preset out there.

I suggest you play around your settings to understand how things work.

Thank you very much for Tutorial.
If I want preset like this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDTkzBbCbIc
set the Reflection ... Ambient occlusion (AO) ?
any idea?

Thank you as well for the Tutorial.

But I have to pass, because the performance hit is incredible. :( On my RX 560 I get less than 15fps in lobby with the effects turned on, while the graphics card goes into overdrive and reaches 80C. For reference, without ReShade I have steady 60fps at max settings with less than 60C in 12man mpas).

Currently turing based GPU's can run this like a breeze, a 5500 XT MIGHT be able to run this smoothly, but anything less will definitely have issues.

Sorry about that, edited my post to reflect what really affects my image quality when using the shaders. I'm using a 1070 here and I usually get around 70-75 FPS even in 12 player MPAs, like Merry Christmas on Ice.

You'll have to play a bit on the QUINT MXAO so make it bleed a bit more and as for reflections, enable the QUINT SSR. Screen-Space Reflection will be projected on any surface for now even on Tundra's soft snow area where it shouldn't. So remember to use SSR only when you need it or if you are okay with Tundra looking all slippery.

Yes, in a performance standpoint the GTX 1660Ti is the equivalent of the GTX 1070 so in my opinion its still on a good performance rate.

UPDATE: PSO2 GSHADE RT Shader Preset Demonstration

NOTE: AIO Download Link is in the description.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nInuBMeJPpQ

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqfqDCPcFd4

GSHADE RT Shader Preset no longer requires you to enable NVIDIA Inspector's Ambient Occlusion since the QUINT MXAO is more accurate and more optimized than that - making it compatible with both NVIDIA and AMD at the same time.

GSHADE Preset also enables more options with the RT Shader Global Illumination including infinite bouncing light and Sky Box Lighting, Global Illumination Ambient Occlusion is also enabled on the GSHADE RT Shader Preset V2.
