what exactly do photon drops do? If you trade them for items how do you do it and where do you go to do it?

you have to go online and go to the shop quest and look for one called gallon's shop or something with gallon in it. then head straight to where the telepipes would show up and make a left, there should be a little corridor with a little guy in it talk to him and he will take you to gallon or hopkins or some dude who likes photon drops. He'll offer you an item for all your photon drops in you inventory, you can accept or decline, decline and he will offer another one, accept you get what he offers and give away all your pds.
