Demons Gungir

i was on the jap servers and i found a demons gungir that was rare. is this normal. and why is my demons calibur not rare then? also is jap servers the best place to find the new rare items?

What you found is a sort of a "semi-rare" (you'll notice the name isn't ALL CAPS like most rares). Basically, the rarity level of the weapon (gungnir-5 stars) is added to the rarity level of the element (demons-4 stars), if they add up to 9 stars you have a semi-rare!

AFAIK,
There are seven 5 star weapons (Calibur, Ripper, Gungnir, Diska, Laser, Vulcan, Arms) and ten 4 star elements (Burning, Tempest, Blizzard, Arrest, Chaos, Gush, Hell, Geist, King's, Demon's), so there should be a possible 70 different "semi-rares"...

Using this formula, Demon's Calibur SHOULD be 9 stars also, so perhaps I'm wrong... =)

I also have this weapon. I got a buncha semi-rare caliburs too. Though my Hell Calibur owns it drops just about everything on the first try with the special attack.

the only rares i really look for are demon/devil/hell weapons. they all have differnces in special attacks.
Demon: 1/4 of life taken from enemy

Devil: cut enemies life in half.

Hell: This one is the best, if you connect its instant death.
