I don't see duping as big as problem in Xbox PSO than GC PSO

Yes, I do own both versions of PSO and can get an image of both cases if you do not believe me. So no, I'm not just a rambling fanboy.

But, anyhow. I know there are hacked/duped weapons going around both versions of PSO. BUT, I do not see it as big of a problem on PSOX as I do in PSOGC. Yes, I did see people run around for a day or 2 with Dark Flows, but I haven't seen a single hacked item since. Yes, I've gone threw many games on all modes (my RAmarl just made it to 80 http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) and I haven't seen a single obvious hacked/duped weapon yet in weeks.

Now for the GC version, the last time I signed on and made a new game for my starting HUnewearl, a level 110 came in and dropped a bunch of 10-12 star weapons and armor. In almost every game, at least one person is using a duped item.

I'm not rubbing anything in anyones faces. I'm just letting the GC players know that their version is just as bad off. Stop rubbing things in and realize that at anytime, the GC version could be hacked to death as well.

I'll tell you why that is... try Ebay's notorious Duplication service. That's right- some prick is making money off of suckers and losers, and only on Gamecube! If I ever see someone try to sell a Duplication service for XBOX, I'll track him down...

Right now, the Xbox version isn't nearly as bad. Not even a percentage of how raped the Gamecube version is. But like people said, give it time. Within a month or so, it'll only get worse and worse.

So enjoy the Xbox version while you can. I know I am - the game is so much more fun right now when all the HUmars are running around with Stag Cutlerys instead of Tsumikiri J-Swords.

As of now, I've seen a FOnewm with a ChuChu Mag, and a HUmar with a Black King Bar. Those are the only hacked items I've seen so far.

What I find funny is that I've been playing the GC verison for about half a year now and have seen very few duped/modded items. What's really funny is that I've never seen anyone using any of the following items (never even seen them except in screenshots): Dark Flow, Dark Meteor, Dark Bridge, Double Cannon, Guld Milla, Tsumikiri J-Sword, Flame Garment, and a whole lot more. I've only seen one person using a Black King Bar, and he was a legit player I've known since back on the DC. All in all, it's not that those items aren't out there, it's just the people I play with and the places I play allows me to avoid even seeing these items in action.

True, but the X-Box is the only system with a hard drive that can connect to the computer, so therefore it makes it easy to hack (after people break the encryption that is). I dunno if the ps2 HDD will be able to connect to the pc as it hasn't been released yet, so I can't say anything about it.

I heard that some university student wrote a report on the Xbox and it's security/encryptiong methods a few months after it had been released. Bang goes the time to break the encryption. Not sure if it is true. Think it is.

Well I have observed three or four seperate games or lobbies where people are talking openly about dupes. I have seen numerous people with J-Swords (or at least katana/blade weapons), lavis cannons, davil's tail mags, fancy armour. I asked one Spanish person who was using these if he was a duper, he didn't know what one was, i said they copy items, and he blurted out action replay (or whatever cheat disc is now). It's a sad state of affairs if you are asking someone if they dupe just because they have a rare item.

I play with a lot of Japanese now (well the same three again and again http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif ) and they have the coolest stuff. Maybe that is all duped, who knows. But they have had two years of PSO so plenty of time to play it so I think I will stay with them for a while now. And they Reseta me, S & D me, take note EU and US forces [points finger]. hehehehehehe.
