I'll buy it. I did with all there other systems, and the only dissapointment I ever had with them is that they died too fast.

It's been in the rumor mill for years that SEGA was coming back in the future after healing it's wounds. I will most definetly buy a new SEGA console when they make one.

Yuji Naka doesn't exactly decide things like that for Sega.

Could be a ST console O_o??

But I think SEGA should wait it off a little bit longer before they try to get back into he console business.

For that Sonic Team would have to break off from Sega.

I would buy it. The Genesis was my first console I had and I liked their games and systems ever since. I will stick with em.

Of course I would buy it. But it just isn't going to happen.

Exactly thats what they need to do first instead of rushing back into the console wars... Injured soldiers do not fight well..

It would be cool if they do it but I dont see it happening. With Sony and now Microsoft as competitors they arent going to stand a chance. Hell even Nintendo is sorta going under. Right now Sony is the top gaming system and Microsoft and Nintendo are a close second but Microsoft is rising.

Sega would be 3-4 place and couldnt compete unless they came up with some badass system.

If the late Isao Ookawa decided SEGA to stop making consoles, and injected for the last time another bunch of personal money to save the company, it's for a good reason.
SEGA demonstrated its unability to fight as a console company. It was with the dreamcast, an excellent machine, with the best games, at a good price. The only adversary was Sony.

Now, SEGA has proved it's unability to be a profitable software editor, Nintendo has a next gen system, M$ has entered the fray, Sony is still as strong as ever, and you believe SEGA would/should get back to console hardware business ?
The idea is ludicrous.

Even though the idea may not sound too great, I'd be glad to see SEGA back in the game. Though they will need to get their act together, but y'know people learn from their mistakes.....right?

That'd be great to see another Sega system....but with the way things are going today, I kinda doubt it...

I think Naka has very good intentions.
but he doeasn't realize how hard is to enter in the console market.

Look at Mictrosoft, coming as monopolyzers of the PC market and hoping 100 million Xbox sold they are having hard times to get established. If Microsoft with the super agressive strategy, losing a bunch of bucks for each system sold, buying exclusivities, game companies like RARE, etc... isn't getting very good results how can Sega imagine to try it?
