Is your game disc old,new?
if its old take some rubbing alchol (not alot) and soak it onto a tissue and rubb gently around the surface than take a dry tissue and clean it then try putting it in.
If not that then look for any deep scars on the disc,a nd if its new then you might just have gotten a bad one the next step to that is to either
1. go back and tell the people its broke and you want a new one they can give you another copy of the same game as long as its the same game, so there shouldent be a problem in getting a new one.
or
2. bring your mom to curse at them until they give you one.
but number one should work.

Hmmmmm...that's very interesting. I too am having the same problem. Had to send my Game Cube out for Service.Have you tried putting in another game to make sure it's not the Game Cube? Damn Game Cube is only 5 months old!!! >_< Hopefully its only the disk. Otherwise...good luck.

I have this same problem with my gamecube now but i dont know how to get it fixed. Originally my gamecube would start laggin (not even online), and then it would cut off sayin could not read disk. Eventually it got worse and worse till it started sayin an error has occurred. Turn off and see GAmecube manual for more info. Does anyone know what to do? plz help me out.

All you have to do when this occurs is open up the Gamecube's drive door, then close it again. This will reset the laser motor, and you will continue where you left off exactly. This is just some minor glitch with the cube that occurs sometimes. It happened to me, and I opened my drive door, and closed it again, and the game continued just like nothing had happened.

Something similar happened to me, but the game was MLB SLugfest 20-02. While it was loading the main screen after playing a game, it would get the load bar about halfway up, and then the game would start making a horrible buzzing noise and it gradually got worse until it went to a screen that said "an internal error has occurred, please refer to the GCN instruction manual." Luckily, that's the only game it happened with and i soon saw that the game case (inside) was really dusty from leaving it open so i cleaned it. Also, the vents in the sides of the GCN were really dusty so I cleaned those with a dust cloth. Now my gamecube is good as new. hope that helped.
