I wanna see a trading booth, that you can only visit at certain lvls, like 25,50,75, and 100 for example. That way everyone is gauranteed a super rare, that isn't some duped POS.

Id like to see a system like Diablo2. Where you walk up to players and ask them to trade, show items no chance of getting ripped off. Just throw your stuff on the "rack" for show. If you dont like it just exit nothing gained or lost. I dont know what the hell SEGA was thinking by not having a safe trading system.

I would like to see a item serial number in PSO2. For example, each rare item would be assigned randomly 10 to 20 digit number. You wouldn't be able to see this number. Since a matching serial number would be extreamly rare, any indentical numbers would mean a duped item. When there is a match, both items would be deleted.

I think the random weapon/item serial numbers are a good idea. And some sort of trading system should be implemented, I(along with most people) think the Diablo 2 trading system was very good and something similar should be used in PSO2.

Excellent idea Glider. I think that would be awesome. All it takes is some extra thought by the programmers. They gotta use common sense sometimes, look at what other games have done wrong. Or what players have exploited in similar style games. Duping goes on in other games (D2 etc) and surley programmers have to know this. They should spend more time working on anti-cheat and debugging. Because im sure they dont want the lifespan of their game to get prematurely cut short because of hackers nad dupers.

Well, while I like the idea of a serial number database, the sheer size of it would be overwhelming -- there would be thousands upon thousands upon thousands of numbers that'd have to be kept track of, essentially indefinately (you never know when a character is going to be back online next). I think it would be too much to implement very well.

On the other hand, having the servers keep track of only the named rares, or items above X number of stars, may well be very feasible. One hardly worries about an influx of duped Saber +2s, or Monomates, after all. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

Yeah but isn't that what computers do? Keep track of billions of numbers? Shouldn't be a problem, though searching through the numbers to match dupes could be time/load intensive, depending. Still it's a good idea, even if it's not practical.

Yea it definetly should be implemented into PSO2 but not now cause there are too many dupes out there. As for the number Idea Diablo had the same thing. All the programers had to do was actually look at past games to see what was goin wrong with them. If they did implement it into this game (I Dunno how) it would totaly piss some people off who actually think they have a legit Spread Needle. And they gave their only rare for it... Oh well a trading window would definetly help things tremendously. Maybe it wasn't done because of lag problems... who knows

PSO2 NEEDS a trading window system like Diablo 2/UO. It MUST have it!!!

As for item ID numbers... err.. not really. If they just use SERVER SIDE saving, then Duping would be impossible anyway. Plus, that would also mean BSOD wouldn't wipe your whole file - though getting disconnected mid game might mean a few hours of lost time, but hey, its better than a lost character!

Nothing is ever hack-proof, even if it is server side.
