Well, my DC seems to be on it's last leg as far as online gaming is concerned so I was thinking about buying a new DC and a new copy of PSO. But I was wondering, if I could use my saved game files from my old copy of PSO on a new copy of PSO. Anyone know?

You can use your old file on a new pso but not on a new dc so you're probably screwed.

another solution:

if you know what's wrong with it, (ie. modem, laser, power supply), and you're not totally incompetent with electronics, then this is what you do:

1.go buy another dc at wal-mart (gotta love wal-mart)
2.open up both the dreamcasts.
3.swap out any broken/malfunctioning parts from YOUR dc and put them back in the NEW one that you just bought.
4.make sure yours works
5. return the one you just bought with your defunct innards. (again, gotta love wal-mart http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif )

notes:
-if its the modem then just swap them (duh http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_razz.gif)
-dont change the main cpu board, that contains all your isp info and stuff, doing that will not allow you to play pso anyway, so you might as well just swap the whole dc.
-dont knock out or remove the battery, same reason as above.
-depending on what you wanna swap you many want to have a soldering iron near by to solder/unsolder wires

good luck, hope this helped http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_razz.gif

Why don't you just take the new DC and put the old one in the box. But isn't that a crime?
