I can't decide which is more disturbing to me. That people are auctioning off items in a video game for almost the price of the game itself, or that people are actually buying them.

heh heh heh. I made some good money when diablo 2 came out. I simply downloaded the game editor (which anyone can get for free) and spent twenty minutes making a bunch of dummy characters with every good item I could think of. And then I made a bunch of characters, and put em up on ebay. I made over 300 dollars for less than half an hours work.
