This has nothin to do with my story, or makin another one. I just want to see how some people judge, or what they think what sets a story apart from another.

Myself, I can understand most works, I can see the thoughts behind the words, but I really find enjoyment in a well developed plot, that flows smoothly, that doesn't make me think that I missed somethin.
Another thin, chars. Yo chars really, most of the time, what you, or what you wan't to be like, would do if you were in a certain situation. But thats makin another copy of u, its nnot really makin a char, a char is thought out, she/he/it have its own personality, not yours, it has its own thoughts, not yours. I made a bad mistake when I first started to write stories, you could see the same thought, my own, behind all of the chars, and I sent it to my dad/who is a writer/ to evaluate, and he asked me a question,
"what would Dameon do if he was asked to dance"
"Problably tell her to piss off{I cuss in front of my father}"
Them he asked me what I would do, and I found myself sayin the exact same thin.

Me? Well, I'd say good plot, wide variety of characters, comedy (Optional, but I like it), and suspense. Those are a good basis

A fanfiction I usually like to look for are:

- something that I can understand (though it's my own fault that I can only have a grade 5 reading level)

- a good background that has a strong foundation throughout the story (suspense here, action here... but I like intense battles where it's a long drawn out fight, but I love battles)

- various range of characters, good or bad with a solid history and their purpose and they aren't perfect (though I am a HUnewearl lover, I don't want to see a story with the population of HUnewearls)

- description when needed (though I usually like to draw because I can't describe worth crap)

- a plot within a plot within a plot (difficult to describe, but it's rather hard for characters if they are caught in the crossfires of various things)

- new ideas (self explanatory)

I tend to like fics that aren't based completely on the plot of the game. They get very simple if it's just the story of a character going through the forest, caves, mines, ruins, and then beating the game.

I don't look for anything. I just stumble into a fic, and if it's interesting enough, I'll read it more.

Hmm? What do I look for?

-Story. I don't want some RaMar beating the heck outta 200 boomas for a story. Lets have suspense, drama, and a deep evil character.
-Character. Lets not have a RaMar who 'likes to kill things'. lets have a RaMar that wants revenge on the world for killin his brother.
-Background. MORE ADJECTIVES. Nuf said.
-Explosions. A la star wars.

more plot.

more action.

MORE humour.

not follow the 'rules' of pso.

less romance.

of course, a good story doesn't need all that, a story could have a really shitty plot but be told in an excellent way that has u waitin 4 the next installment with giddy eyes http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif.

so keep up the good work ne1 reading this and who write fics!

PEACE!!!
