Android AB17-C is presented at the world faire in Sydney, Austramerica.
Humanity looks on, with anticipation as well as fear, for this is no ordinary AI. People from all over the planet watch, from Canadamerica to Chinamerica watch as this superbeing is unveiled for the first time...
The music plays loudly and the lights burst hypnotically on stage as the curtains are pulled away.

I blinked and I missed that plotline! NOOOOO! And I think you are right about Canadamerica, though I wont say why online.
A hush fell upon the crowd as a small figure appeared from behind the crushed velvet curtain, flowing like cerulean seas. Slowly the stunted creature ambled to the podium, stepped away..stepped back, and away again.
It was a girl, but it wasn't.. everyone knew what was coming, a sickening anxiety that turned stomachs and unwrenched bowels, a dark pathos that hung over humanity like a thunderhead.
A Forward?
20 years come and gone, America had become an empire. Only one enemy remained, Russia, but not as the russians themselves. Russia had become the playground of all those opposed to the Imperialistic iron claw of America. Three billion chinese fled, emptying a large quadrant of then-China, further toward the interior of Russia, together with the European Alliance formed in 2024 a wall of defense was forged. This quickly became a burgeoning offense, the Americas united against now Eurussia in the final apocalyptic battle for Earth.
Why did things come to this? Overcrowding, starvation, greed...the American lust for the Great Everything began to spill over when there was not enough to divide amongst the billions. Over one billion people were counted in the US alone in the great census of 2020. In these times, most of the rest of humanity sought the 'american lifestyle' in a blind philosophical "follow the leader." Everyone did know that someday these ways would have to end, but none thought so soon.
It came swiftly, and the War raged for many months, yet somehow not as many were killed as would have been thought in this world conflict. People still sat at home, non-rationed, watching television day and night, updated, re-updated and updated again. In these ultrasophisticated times, many machines died, for man thought most of himself.
Then the inevitable came. Despite the amount of entertaining science fiction 'warnings' we were given, mankind sought the last refuge of war, automatons. "Indistinguishable by human eyes" became the ultimate goal of the Robot War, which raged on both sides with ever more fanatically realistic androids.
oooooo, theres more!!!
an american empire, a chinese-russian-european alliance thing. a robot war.
this sounds very promising!

Whoa... it's like the Matrix! With a human war too!
The figure stood, twisted, wretching. Her clothes, designed elegantly to introduce an elegant weapon, tattered and stained, maroon and crimson.
She looked around the stage, ignoring the crowd of Americans gathered to witness the introduction of the ultimate hidden predator, one who could snipe in the open, could smile while tearing organs out of innocents, demagogues and saints. She looked around for something, something unseen.
Then, turning toward the crowd at last, she approached the podium for the third and last time. She stepped up with a snarled face, her eyes afire with golden light..she whispered
"penance"
The crowd looked around nervously, something was amiss. Was this nightmare really true?
"Penance"
she repeated again, more audibly this time. Rustling of voices and bodies began, people began to back away from the stage in this massive open-air auditorium.
"PENANCE!!!!!!!!!!"
Her voice pierced air and mind, the last of her word screeched through the speakers, blowing them out. A moment of complete silence fell upon the whole arena..then she glared at the audience, her eyes shown brilliant fire and an invisible pulse burst from her tiny frame, moving slowly out into the crowd.
People in the front were first. Then would shudder, then explode. Not so much into pieces, but utterly liquify in place, becoming massive globes of blood before bursting outward into the crowd.
The wave moved slowly, invisible, but felt. Row after row burst into liquid, covering seats, aisles, filling the stadium in blood. Screaming and agony was heard all around, those in the back began panicking, trampling each other to get out of the stadium. They could not escape, the pulse moved outward, crushing all where they stood, sat, ran. Blood and tiny fragments of bone began pouring down the tiered walkways, swirling around at the base of the stage as the creature looked on, cold, gleaming. The city seemed to stand still for a moment. The last couple of rows on the far east corner had been spared this horrid fate, they sat frightened, motionless, deer in the headlight of fate.
She focused for another pulse..but something was amiss to her as well.
The deepest rumbling shook through her core.

AhhHhh! sCARY!
Through her circuits an echo hummed.. then screamed
UNSEALING OF ANTITHESIS!
She found it hard to resist.
UNSSSSSSSSSSSEALINGGGGG
What could she do?
DARKNNNNNNNNESSSSSSS
Looking up, the twisted cyborg saw ..nothing. Black. The sky had disappeared. The rumbling, the Voice, a deeply penetrating and rhythmic pumping within her, through the ground and earth. Everything was gone.
Then, like hearing the ocean through a seashell, she found herself again, slowly through the distance to reality. Still standing on stage, though it was now dusk. The sun was setting and the blood of many-dead had congealed into what looked like tar. The moon hung full and low upon the sky. She felt something.
The moon began fracturing as she stared on blankly.
COMING
Splitting into several large pieces, the moon spread apart and moon meteorites began hurtling toward earth. Through the center of where the moon once lie, a dark object rocketed through. Growing larger..nearer
Soooooonnnnnn
She could feel the gravity of the moon, the pulsing of the Voice, the entry of the Tomb into the atmosphere. It was larger than the horizon it seemed, carrying stars and planets with it. The moon fell away, pieces falling into earth's stratosphere and off the horizon.
YOUUUUUUUUUUUUU
"No" she said aloud. She shook the Voice out.
"NO"
Her body began dematerializing. She marveled for a moment, then pitch. Nothing. Swimming in tar, swimming in death, coma.
The Tomb hit earth, dwarfing the impact of the larger section of the moon that found its way deep into the crust somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. The tomb didn't stop.. it just wouldn't. The Dark Titan struck the Earth and pierced the crust, continuing through magma and finally slowing with gravity forcing the vector around the core and up toward the surface crust on the other side of the planet.
[i]
DAM!
that is one scary evil psycho bitch cyborg!!!!
keep it up dude!!!!
Continents shifted, climates changed, humanity was obliterated. Not a being survived. Just rodents, a few plants, algae, the simple things. And Darkness, overwhelming.. and time.
Planet RAGOL [after the events of Gal da Val and Olga Flow]
"ASH! Hey mister, get over here!" The voice called frantically, high-pitched and unrefined. It was Caila, a first-year hunters, and a FOnewearl. Wise beyond her years in magic, but without a bit of control.
She was as hyper as a mothmant but almost twice as pretty.
"What is it already?!?" Ash replied, bounding over a rock and darting in between the foliage. "This better be more interesting than the last thing you found. I know SOME people might pay big meseta for Rico's empty lip-liner casing, but this isn't the kind of Bounty Hunter stuff i had in MIND."
"No no, i swear! This time its something BIG!!" Caila sprung up from the ground, pointing and bouncing around like a booma on difluid. Ash looked down, doubtingly at first, then knelt to inspect the oddity closer.
"Interesting" he felt the rock slowly, "mostly granitous karbocite, but then here, this black stuff, i ..." he paused hesitantly contemplating his next words, "i have only seen this from one particular region.."
"yeah? yeah?? CMON out with it!" She danced around looking upward at the fractured spiral of grey stone, with the onyx-black metallic fin infused through it. "It looks like an air foil, or some kind of wing or something, right? I'm sure its something EVIL and super rare right? Can we sell it? I'll split it with you, 70/30, AFTERALL i did find IT!"
"WHAT?" Ash looked on perplexingly at Caila. "Are you going to carry it back with you? And the mountain of rock its attached to? You really don't think sometimes C."
Ash gazed upon the slender spine of metal, perfectly etched into the rock, and where it had fused in place. "This defintely isn't natural, but i don't know. Should we really be snooping around here, the last time somebody snooped we got an awfully ugly surprise.."
"OH, CMON!!" Caila hopped up and down, smirking at Ash.
"Caila, I used to be like you. I used to seek out nothing but adventure, experience and treasure. Trouble, that is what I got."
"You talk like an 80 year old HUmar you know that, silly! Geez!"
"Caila we can't use this, we are looking for artifacts, not ...well not whatever this is. Let's take a look around for anything we can carry back, but let's be CAUTIOUS!"
Caila sighed. She ran her fingers through her purple hair, a nervous habit she garnered back in Hunters Academy. She looked on at Ash, adoration rife in her magma red eyes. She had known him since her childhood, but things had changed the last couple years. He was several years older than her, and sometimes they didn't see eye to eye. Literally, they NEVER saw eye to eye, as he was almost 2 heads taller than she was. She stared on at him. Caila sighed again.
"What?!" Ash said, half curious about her constant sighing.
"uhh....i uh, nothing! Go away! er.." she shuffled through all the things she could say, finding nothing adequate. "I'm just...let's go look around."
Ash had been through it all, but he was still young. Mid-twenties, he had been through several key events during the Time of Great Darkness and the Coming of Falz, as well as the Events of Flow from Gal da Val, albeit less on the frontlines. He had evolved from a lesser warrior, a rookie to bounty and victory. Time and experience had hardened him some, but he still had curiosity. Caila was like a sister to him, she, only 15 years of age, he knew she had a long way to go to maturity and true wisdom.
"A looooong way" he said aloud, catching himself too late.
"Huh, a long way what?" she eyed him. "A long way where?"
He pointed up. "To the top, of course" he said, smiling.
<font size=-1>[ This Message was edited by: Nerd on 2003-06-21 19:58 ]</font>
"NOOOO way am i going up there, heights uh, freak me out you know.." She looked at the ground nervously, rocking back and forth on her feet.
"And you want to be a Hunter? Surely from up there we can get a better view of the territory, maybe find something interesting. Our client has very little patience, we have little time left and our speeder is going to explode if we push it much farther. I don't want to walk half a continent back to Pioneer 2, do YOU?"
"What about you," eyeing him again "you comin too?"
"After the lady," he said, smiling crookedly.
They proceeded up the steep rock face, which jutted out above the trees of the surrounding forest, a beacon of the woodlands. At intervals they would see the same strange metal pierced throughout the rock.
"ASHHHH!" Caila screamed as a large chunk of rock, the rock she was climbing on, broke loose and began to fall. She flailed her arms as she fell past him, terrified.
"I got you!" he retorted as he grabbed her arm, struggling to stay on the rock face as she swung back and forth below him. With all his might, he grimaced, biting his lip and pulling her back to a resting spot below him as the sheered off rock boomed loudly on the ground as it hit. Jumping down, he looked at her with deeply radiant eyes. "See, I'm always right. If you had been beneath me, you'd be dead."
"IF i hadn't climbed at ALL," she replied in a fit, "i would never have..."
Her voice trailed off as she looked up where she had been. "Look!"
Where the rock had broken off, a large portion of the black metal was now exposed. A large flat surface was exposed, and upon it where 3 raised symbols.
"I think this is a sign.."
ooooooo!!!

Ash and Caila continued their ascent of the rocky spire, heading ever upward far above the forested landscape. As Caila poked her head up to the next plateau she saw a hairy foot, then another hairy foot approaching. Startled, she slid back alittle; Ash ready to catch her again.
"Oh, its a baby booma how CUTE!" she winked at Ash; the abandoned beast just stared blankly forward at the sky, the horizon. Black eyes reflecting nothing, as the beast rocked back and forth hypnotically.
"I wonder where your mommy went, cutie." She petted its foot. "It doesn't seem violent like the rest.."
"Yes, that is odd," Ash pulled himself up onto the mesa-like outcropping, looking up to the final destination, the last plateau above them.
They moved around the creature, still entranced, and started up the climb.
BWWWWARRRRRRAAAAANG BWWWWWAAAAARRRAAAAANG
A blaring noise pierced the calm and startled both Hunters enough that they dove simultaneously back down to the plateau where the booma stood, now much closer, one paw raised with razor sharp claws to rake Caila's exposed back as she had started up. The creature, now headless, blood spurting out of its neck with a gurgling sound, still stood, hovered back and forth on its feet, then finally collapsed in a pile of fur, brain matter and chunks of skull.
Ash looked down to the base of the rock pile to see a powerful RAcast holding a still smoking weapon, glancing back up at them.
Caila was shocked, not only at the ferocity of such a tiny, adorable creature, but the cruelty of the android.
"Burrion!" Ash cried to the steadfast Warrior, jet black, a seasoned pro from many years ago. This was as ancient a model as they came, a First Print as they were known. The oldest known RAcast from Pioneer 2, known to many as the Hidden Warrior in the war against Falz.
"You best tread lightly in this region, friends, the powers with which you trifle are not to be underestimated, especially considering your current EXPERIENCE.." the RAcast had a powerful voice, which easily reached them from the forest floor, despite their distance.
Caila was taken aback, "FRIENDS?! Friends, how dare you 'friends' us, you coward, that poor creature, you COULD HAVE stunned it, you know!"
"Caila please!" Ash stopped her, "this....this is a great warrior you are speaking to, you should heed his words. He is my mentor, Burrion."
"A great more killing shall ensue before this mission is complete, assured you are of this fact," the android continued, "as this was no mere archeology study you have embarked on."
The two stood, puzzled.
Then the entire rocky structure began to shake apart, the symbols on the exposed metallic surface began to hum and radiate light..

PEACE!!!
The whole of the planet seemed to shudder and shake, causing boulders to fall from every direction and height. Caila and Ash dived opposite ways, narrowly avoiding a particularly large rock that eagerly smashed between them, pelting them with shards.
Then, as soon as it had begun, the quaking stopped. Everything stopped. The forest was still.
"What is that?" Caila looked around, hearing a rocket-like sound from below. Before she could give a second glance, Burrion was on the ledge with them, standing menacingly, towering above them with his size, jets on his oversized shoulders still smoking.
A blinding white light flashed from the glowing symbols; Caila screamed and Ash sheilded his eyes, Burrion stood steadfast. Suddenly white light began folding in on itself, a blackhole-esque vacuum opened up, and everything headed backward into the symbols. They could feel themselves being pulled toward it. Wind whirled and whipped about them, as they struggled to hold against it.
"Prepare, for this will be your last adventure friends," Burrion said sharply as a door slammed inward and the symbols burst like fireworks. Ash and Caila were whipped off the edge of the rocky ledge, flung through air and sucked into the vortex, Burrion rocketed in after them, unwavered by the currents. The door slammed closed behind them, and they slid into oblivion.

Oblivion isnt something a hero likes to hear often...
Ash could feel himself falling, but could see nothing. Falling, then ..sliding at an angle. Metal. Then bouncing off of one side and hitting the other. Then something gooey, and tangled, and pulsating. Still sliding. Then rolling.
Ash hit the ground with a hard thump, smacking the back of his skull against whatever he had finally come to a stop against. He faded from consciousness just as Caila flew down, bouncing off of his chest. Burrion hovered slowly to a stop with controlled blasts from his rockets.
Caila stumbled to her feet, "oh geez, get UP silly!" she smirked as she cast reverser on him. Ash took a heaving breath and looked around him, though he could barely see, the circular cave lit only by Burrion's green eyes.
"We have arrived, let's GO." Burrion commanded.
im really getting into this story!
can't wait 4 the next part!
Voices, whispers, echoed off every wall. There appeared to be no doors, just dripping, pulsating walls. The floor moved as well, making the already disoriented Ash flail to and fro.
"Burrion, what AREN'T you telling us?" Ash pondered aloud, but Burrion said nothing. Caila looked around furiously "WHERE are YOU! STOP!!"
Ash tried to calm Caila but she wouldn't have any of it.
"Ash, i can't stop the voices...they are coming from every direction, they are telling me to do things!"
"Just settle down Caila, don't let it get to you, i can hear them too. They can't do anything, i heard the same in the ruins back when falz.." the floor shook and Caila fell to the ground along with Ash. The most horrendous wailing began, like a poltergheist the moment before it tears your soul away, piercing their bodies, making them cower.
A familiar whirring sound was heard, then sparks lit up the room, which was now filled with 10 or more dimenians. Their photon filled bodies coated the circular cave in a glow of ambient purple haze.
"We FIGHT!" Burrion shouted and began blasting the herd with unrivaled power. Ash got up, powered on his Stag Cutlery and began slashing through the crowd. This was nothing new to him, and they fell quite easily between him and Burrion. The room lay silent for a moment, all the creatures slain, lying in piles upon piles of much and severed limbs.
Caila was a heap upon the ground, holding her ears, trying to push the voices out. Completely oblivious to her surroundings, she cried as she bit her lip so hard that it bled.
Ash looked around, "well that wasn't so hard."
Another volley of creatures materialized, this time a pack of Ill Gill. Slender, humanoid-like creatures, all holding sickles of unrivaled power and technique. They immediately began leaping in all directions, rocketing back and forth throughout the room in a completely random fashion, slashing without mercy. Ash was fought back against a wall, he was no match for even a single Ill Gill. "What the..too strong," Ash gasped. Frantic, he put up his arm to block with his shield as the Ill Gill struck.
A blast of light blinded him as his arm was severed, the underlying mechanics burnt away, cables and metal exposed.
"Ahhhhhhhh," Ash fell to the ground screaming, not so much from pain, as he had lost his arm during the Rise of Olga Flow, but from shock of his failure.
<font size=-1>[ This Message was edited by: Nerd on 2003-07-01 23:36 ]</font>
Caila felt something through the voices. She felt pain, she felt anguish. She felt Ash, she saw him, her eyes focusing through the confusion of her mind.
Something within her grew. She stood up, Ill Gills flying toward her as Burrion frantically attempted to keep them at bay. Her eyes grew from fire red into brilliant sunlight, "ENOUGH!" she said calmly as creatures darted about her, and she put out her hand, a single finger pointing.
The middle of the room began to pull toward itself, like a universe about to burst from nothingness. Energy encircled and exploded outward, rays of holy light blasting in every direction, making the room solid white. Ash put his good arm over his face, Burrion was flung back to the wall, as the Ill Gills burst apart into clouds of black smoke.
Caila stood strong, her hair blowing like she were only touched by a gust of wind. Then, darkness again. Caila collapsed into unconsciousness, Ash catching her with his good arm.
"There," Burrion said, righting himself, "A door."
"Caila's magic burnt away the growths, I've never seen that high a level of Grants before..this isn't possible, even from a FOnewearl!"
The pulsating cave had been singed off, and the original metal floor and walls behind it shown through. A door opened in front of them.
Caila moaned. She put her hand on the floor, attempting to ascend to her feet, but failing, she barely managed a whisper, "A..B..17.."
"C.."

Uhoh. That isnt good.
thanks for the support guys, it means alot!!
With arms crossed, Burrion towered over Ash, but for once spoke in a whispered tone. "I..thought you might be needing this.." he said as he produced a metal cylinder from his massive backpack, which he handed to Ash. Ash gently lay Caila's head back and took the canister. Placing it on the ground he pressed the red button, which slid open a small hatch revealing a hand and forearm identical to the one he had just lost from the Ill Gill attack.
Giving his arm a sharp twist, the remnant of his robitic forearm was disassembled, and on went his new hand.
"Like new, I trust."
"Thanks, Burrion."
"Now carry her, we haven't time to waste!"
Ash picked up Caila and they headed through the door, which was identical to the variety in the 'Ruins' he had been in so long ago. Were these the same ruins? Ash pondered much as they passed to the next room. How could they be, that spaceship was discovered a 100 miles away or better!

Discovery
Everything stopped when they walked into that room. Ash dropped Caila, her body making a dull thud as it hit the floor. The strange growths had been partially burnt off in this room too, revealing something horrifying.
"Burrion.."
In a tangle of wires and smoking purple growths, some still pulsating, others dripping acrid smelling liquids, was a twisted face, a young girl. Her face bent into an impossible evil gape, her mouth open wider than should be possible. Her red hair still shown through the dust, her skin paler than Caila's.
"Is she..human?" Ash asked, paralyzed but unsure why. He hadn't even thought to pick Caila off the floor, where she lie still and cold.
"More than you know, bring Caila, we must leave immediately."
"What is going on, Burrion? What is it you won't tell me?!"
Burrion said nothing, but gripped a large portion of the pulsating mass, that which trapped the faint figure, and ripped it off like a behemoth in one swift pull. The tiny frame fell to the floor, still, motionless.
"An...android??"
"Yes," Burrion replied, and without further hesitation, picked up Ash, who now held Caila, and the mysterious human-like android at once, firing his rockets as dozens of Ill Gills appeared in the room. Shooting back through the door they had just passed through and up the slanted path, Burrion positioned his large flatened head in a battering-ram position, and blasted the door open. They flew up into the cold, night air and off into the forest.
Ill Gills covered the rocky structure, with sickles in hand, swarming like ants after a disturber of their nest.

CAMPFIRE
"Burrion...I am out of Moon Atomizers. She is looking pretty bad." Ash's lip quivered slightly. She had been his best friend for many years, many good memories, many great adventures.. Caila lay still, nearly as pale and lifeless as the strange android next to her. Ash's eyes shifted over, gazing at the tiny being, in tattered clothes, covered in dirt. Her 'skin' nearly white, her hair straight, coming to sharp points, audaciously fire-red and entrancing to the eyes. Ash reached out to touch her hair, and noticed something written, no, branded onto her neck. He gently turned her head. Odd, he thought, that he could somewhat make out what these symbols were.
"Burrion, this looks like our language, primitive but able to be recognized."
Ash squinted.
"Yua..."
The woods were silent. No insects chirped. The wind stopped. The once-blazing campfire died instantly. Total darkness.
Whispers danced around Ash, coming from everywhere and nowhere. Licking his face with their disgusting hiss.
Silence again.
Dark creaking began, like the earth would tear itself asunder. Rumbling, in utter darkness.
Silence again.
A hideous ultra high pitched scream shattered the silence as the campfire roared to life, bursting from orange to to blue, shooting across the encampment and onto nearby brush.
Ash looked around wildly; Caila lie still, Burrion searched for a target. The android was gone.
Whispers danced around Ash, coming from everywhere and nowhere. Licking his face with their disgusting hiss.

Soooo Coooool.....(droool)....
The fire raged, but Ash sensed none of this. He saw her, huddled by a tree, avoiding the light, quivering from fear. The android, the horrific being awakened. Ash turned to Caila. As the fire danced closer, quickly burning through the underbrush, Ash ran to Caila, and swept her up.
"No use," Burrion said coldly, "she is already dead, my friend."
Ash fought back tears, and carried her on, ignoring Burrion. He walked toward the small creature, huddled by the tree. Her evil gape, her piercing eyes, her auburn hair. Her dirty pale skin and her quivering frame. Ash set Caila down gently, as flames burned upward into the canopy, and smoke enraptured them.
Ash, furious, drew his other weapon, the Red Saber, igniting it at the tiny android, lost in despair. She hissed, baring sharpened fangs, her eyes burning brighter than the surrounding blaze. Ash responded by slashing the android across the face with the Red Saber. Immediately she cowered, her fangs replaced by meekness, by tearfulness and juvenile fear.
The being covered her face with her arms, holding the smoking wound that burned across her cheek. Ash breathed heavy, though the smoke hung low, he showed no sign of weakness.
"Trouble comes.." Burrion said, and as Ash spun around he saw hundreds of Arlans running toward them, cutting down trees with their massive clawed arms. Their massively horned heads swayed as they crushed the entire forest with their stampede.
"The fire must have drawn them!" Ash shouted, then realizing the danger from the android, turned back around. The tiny android girl was crouched over Caila, touching her face.
http://www.members.lycos.co.uk/sentbyagamma/hpbimg/arlanjpg.jpg
Arlans were coming from every direction, and Burrion began firing wildly, killing off the first line of attack. Ash dove toward the tiny android, lest she corrupt the corpse of his best friend. The android jumped back in fear, shielding her eyes and whimpering.
"no more, please!" she said. Ash stopped, confused.
The arlans approached from all sides now, fire raging. Surrounded.

truly excellent!
can't wait for more!!
Arlans began slashing at Burrion from all directions. He threw down his weapon in disgust and punched one Arlan barefisted in what could be construed as its face. He punched it again and its head burst, spurting purple goo over Burrion and the surrounding arlans, who hasted to knock the disabled beast out of the way for their turn to slash at him. Burrion attacked the next arlan, hitting him squarely with a 3 hit combo, the kick sending the arlan careening back into the crowd, knocking several of the demonic beasts over like bowling pins.
Ash stooped down and lightly caressed Caila's cold face. The android hesitantly moved forward, watching Ash closely for approval. Ash ignored her, consumed by the death of his friend, whom he dearly loved.
"you..called my name"
The android Yua touched Caila's soiled purple hair. Suddenly Ash could feel warmth spread throughout Caila's body and her body heaved. He looked up to see the android glowing in a brilliant light, a wave of energy pulsing through him, through the forest, through everything. The energy field burst outward from the android, as Caila's eyes flew open the fire was extinguished and the trees burst to color again, greens; fresh growth. The arlans stopped in place, began pulsating, then exploding. A wave of purple goo began rushing through the camp, creating a nauseating smell as the embers steamed the goo into the air.
The light faded away and the android huddled back against the tree once more. Caila reached up to touch Ash's face, brushing a trail of arlan blood off his cheek.
"Ash," she said faintly "i love you."
Yua smiled.

I've been reading this for a while now... It's progressed from a paragraph about a robot to an epic rpg-ish storyline... I can say nothing else about this great story.
Thank you for your kind words, i don't know if i would have gotten so far without your posts.
Yes it began as basically almost a joke, but in my mind it became much more. And soon it will be illustrated. edit: scroll up if you don't believe me http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

(Sticks an Ultimate sheild in between eyes)
Please post the next chapter, I'm not sure how long I can dodge BOC with my 500 EVP!
Caila heaved a heavy sigh, and she squinted through the smoke in the now silent forest and saw the android Yua, her tiny frame wavering in the background near some smoldering brush. Startled, Caila tried to get up, but hadn't the strength and fell back to the earth. "You...why did you waken her?! Don't you realize what you have done?!"
"Settle down, Caila, save your strength," Ash said, "After all it was her that saved you.."
"She..IT, that THING is a monster Ash, can't you see?!" Caila was breathing heavy, coughing on the dirty air.
Yua said nothing, just stood almost shylly, innocently away from the three adventurers.
"Yua, come here," Burrion said, almost warmly.
Caila shot Burrion a questioning glare. The now timid waif slowly tip-toed toward the trio, carefully stepping over ashen shrubs and fallen timber. Her eyes seemed twice as large, her skin a more human palor, her mouth no longer agape.
"I..I know what you are, you detestible.."
Yua gave a concerned look of half-pity to Caila, but in her mind Caila heard shrill piercing screams and a muttering, "i am beginning not to like you"
"STOP it! Get out!" Caila screamed, as Ash held her by the shoulders, trying to calm her.
"Caila you need rest, what you exhibited today is far beyond what i have ever seen from a force. You nearly died from casting that Grants. Refocus your efforts and we may yet survive this crisis," Burrion spoke sharply.
Ash pondered. What crisis? What was Burrion talking about, and how does he know so much. The answer was at once clear and nebulous, he WAS Burrion, the Secret Warrior. Something was amiss however. Ash had to know.
The smoke was gone, the forest was silent. As if nothing had ever happened. As if all was safe. The trio settled for a night of much-needed rest. Yua stared blankly and until they awoke once more.

looks like the space between logicals eyes are safe.......for now!!!
excellent nerd-man!
PEACE!!!
Caila snuggled up against Ash as light broke through the horizon, shooting through the charred forest. Burrion sighed. Yua was holding a mothmant down, it struggled as she slowly peeled its legs off one by one. Then she broke its wings, leaving it helpless, squirming. Yua smiled.
"Get up. We leave this place now," Burrion commanded.
Caila groaned, Ash yawned and stretched. Yua put her foot over the mothmant's head. She slowly let her body weight crush the insect until finally its head burst. Yua giggled.
"silly"
Burrion lead them deep into the forest, through twisted ancient trees and through impossibly tangled shrubbery. Finally, he stopped. A clearing spread out before them. Rays of light poured through the opening in the forest canopy like heavenly rain.

PEACE!!!
Yua huddled at the feet of the massive feet of Burrion, dwarfed by his titan size. Caila pulled Ash aside. "Ash, you don't know yet," Caila whispered, "how evil this child is.. When i was unconscious i saw things, many things. I can't even remember half of them but i sense them within me. Something huge, about this whole world and about that little 'girl'. I can't describe it, i just know she is going to destroy everything! Completely!!" Caila's voice rose above a whisper now.
"Ash..I...said something when i came back, when it..she...brought me back."
Caila looked at her feet, "Ash, i meant it."
Ash put his arms around the fragile force, lost for words. "I know," he said, "something isn't right. Burrion has a plan and knows alot more than he is saying. There is a reason this is happening. I have a feeling if we do nothing about this, if we do something to Yua, then we will be doomed. I don't know why, but just think of all we have been through. All of us on this cursed planet. We need an end to all this chaos, if we don't we all will perish or become slaves to that dark force. I feel it is still lurking somewhere. The dark beasts have not perished, they only seem to be growing in numbers. And they are hunting us for some reason.."
Caila and Ash looked toward Yua, who was staring into the meadow where butterflies flittered about.
"Caila, we must have done something right, the darkness wants us."
"I hope you are right Ash, but i think the darkness is already with us."
Burrion and Yua walked out into the clearing, Ash and Caila followed. Burrion stopped in the middle of the field and pressed a button on his wrist. Instantly a large vehicle appeared in front of them, several stories tall. Ash smiled, "Burrion you have a cloaking device? Wherever do you find these wonderful toys?" Neither Ash nor Caila had ever seen Burrion's ship, the Advancer. It rose into the sky like a pyramid, with a large fin rising off one side and comically small wings off the sides.
A door panel slid open with a whirring sound. They boarded the enormous galactic ship.
every part of this fic is like a sweet drop of netar!!!
ooo, that sounded almost too profound. better resort to the usual stuff:
dude that rocked!
as always can't wait for the next part. i really wanna read about burrion and his flying fortress and what the evil hellspawn demon child ua gets up to.
until then:
PEACE!!! (not penance http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif)
