preowned copy online

today i saw an excellent offer on pso in my local GAME shop and i was going to buy it right then and there, but i wasn't sure if i should buy it because i didn't know if pso worked online with a preowned copy of the game.

if you see it for sale second hand, then you need to check that it has the serial numbers and access key with it.
try and take it online, and if it rejects your serial number and access key, you will need to contact sega-europe to get the numbers re-set.
you need to give sega the origanal numbers to prove that you have legitimate ownership.

i meant on the gamecube, sorry for not specifying.
the gamecube pso don't come with serial/access keys does it?
so i wanna know if a preowned gamecube pso will work online, or will it be invalid due to it having been in use?
