Whats next after a Varista (force weapon)

Ryiko have question. Me have nice Varista Gun and I puts grinders in it and it real nice now. I can stay back and BWAST stuff while those stong hunter type WHACKS stuff.

It have no percents though http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_frown.gif but still very nice. I just wonder what is better for a wittle force like me, just so I can keep eye open in da future.

Take what I say with a grain of salt, since I am not a force character. I do sometimes play in the technique/support role, though.

My guess is that what you really want is a draw-series handgun. (Geist Raygun would be the best.) That way you can fire a few shots to refill some TP, and then blast... er BWAST... some more stuff with a Razonde or something.

If you just want to shoot stuff, you might experiment with some machine guns. They are fairly inaccurate, though, and with a force's low ATA you might have a tough time hitting. Still, with 9 shot combos, even if you only hit half the time you'll be doing more damage than with a Varista.

Forget the Varista. Go play some mere Hard games until you find a Soul Raygun. More damage than a Varista (starts off about the same; can be grinded more), and a MUCH better special ability (stealing lots of TP)

Neojin, what you really need to find is a Custom Ray v.00. They are very low ata requirement (100 i think) so you can use, and they do pretty good damage. I had a lot of success with an autogun+20 and a blizzard raygun before i stopped using guns, they were both far more powerful than a varista.

Well, since Mistkerl Zwo and MechDan have already pretty much covered guns, I?d like to offer an alternative to guns: saber type weapons.

The Double Saber seems to be a favorite among Forces. It does a nice multi-hit combo and the special steals tp. The Fake Agito is also nice as it is pretty powerful and requires much less atp than a double saber. I don?t think the Fake Agito has a special (please correct me if I?m wrong). I?m not sure, but Forces can supposedly equip the Soul Eater, which is nice, because I can now use a long sword.

I really wouldn?t recommend for you to get into the front lines as a Force, using saber type weapons. But, depending on the difficulty level, area, your Force?s stats, and what kind of tactics you use, it is (imho) more fun to get in the thick of battle using a saber. Being in the front lines with a low level Force will also drastically reduce your already short life-time expectancy. Stay in the back and use a gun if that is more your style (trust me, you?ll live longer that way). MechDan and Mistkerl have the right idea, find a gun with more power than the varista and also have a special that steals tp. I only have a level 32, just so you know.

My favorite weapon is still double saber. Only online in a team I mean. Using double saber is a no-no on VH offline. But online you have your teammates to help you out. Just cast Rabarta to freeze up the enemies and drain their TP fast with double saber (and let your teammates finish them off). Offline I would suggest rayguns that draw TP as mentioned in the previous posts. However, ruins is still a pain for me because of my mind-oriented mag.
