hhhmmm I know this could be a stupid question but..

I beat the mines' boss yesterday you see.. but that's not the problem.. the problem is that I thought this would unlock the ruins levels but it didn't! My RAcast is currently at level 28.. Do I have to be at a higher level to access the ruins?

Nightshade, You have to go back through each level and activate the pillars that are in each of the 2nd stages. (eg. Forest 2, Cave 2, Mines 2)
After you activate all 3 you have to beat the mines boss again and when you go back down into that little portal area, the door will be gone.

Remember the big monoliths you saw in Forest 2, Cave 2, and Mine 2? You need to go activate them and then beat Vol Opt again.

what you have to do is now go back to the other levels and touch the pillars that are on lvl 2 of each stage.. do that on all 3 levels, fight the mines boss again and the ruins will be unlocked.

Oh, and one more thing. Your save will remember which monoliths you activated, so you don't have to do it all in one sitting.

i.e. You can get the forest monolith... then quit out to go buy some cigarettes. Turn it back on and get the caves monolith, then go take a power nap. Etc.
