There are some angry teens out here in suburbia.

I drove my car today as normal and parallel parked it. I left it for less than 10 minutes and when I got back my friend asked me, "uhh, hey Van, did you have a huge ass scratch on the side of your car before we left?" I responded bewildered, "... what do you mean...?" in which I received my answer "I think you got keyed"

Yes. I got a nice little scratch on the side of my shiny silver car. Oh, and by little I mean 3 feet long and deep enough to rust.

Okay, Vanessa, breath. Put in perspective. No one was hurt (although at that moment I had visions of a DEagle -- unloaded of course -- by my side, and by my side I mean barrel to the vandal's head) nothing was stolen and the damages were minor.

What is upsetting is that the damages were intentional. No, someone didn't just happen to have something sharp and trip for 3 feet along the side of my car and leave a little mark. It was on purpose. To someone they didn't even know. It was an act of angst, rebellion, regardless of what it is, it's something people rarely grow out of. They got a 20 second thrill and it died, I have to deal with their damage.

I know a handful of graffiti artists and yes, they are talented but I hated what they did. It just means more money is spent on trying to remove their art and that money comes from any person working legally who have other things they need to pay for/buy like Food, Clothing, Shelter, and Education... not to mention supporting others, and there are so many other neat things I'd rather be spending my money on.

So now the little money I get at my minimum wage job where I don't even get 40 hours a week will be spent on getting my car touched up so it doesn't rust and I end up with other problems.

ah its like the idiot who thought id be funny to kick in my side door ata football game. he just reared back and took a thirty-yarder rite in my drivers side door. stupid nutter. it eventually popped out, and lord knows how that happend, but i went primal when i saw it. had that, for lack of a better word thats innapropriate, nutter ben rite there, i believe i couldve killed him. well maybe...anys van, it goes unsaid that that sucks, but ill say it anyways, that sucks. stupid kid wont remember it next tuesday, but ur left with it till u get it fixed. grr watta bunch of idiots this world contains.

It's not a fancy sports car, but anyone that's driven it (or the Ford Taurus) or maybe just seen it, knows how long it is and what a giant blind spot it has -- i.e. the entire car.

i dont no how long or deep it may be, but maybe the dealership might have small paint bottles or somthing like that to fill in the gash. i only say that because i remember long ago my dad did somthing like that, but its ben to long to remember. *shrug* anyways, yeah that cars a beast. mom used to have one, but sold it. she always complained about it driving like a boat.

Those chemicals and all that stuff don't really work very well. They really dont work at all. If it's not down to the bare metal, you can hit it with a high speed wheel then buff it out and it'll take most of the scratch out. A freind of mine details cars and he did that to this kids acura when it scratched up. Pretty long and deep scratch too, you can barly tell it was messed up now.

Try to take it to some body shops and get esstimates, it may not be as bad as you think. I know this is gonna sound bad, but try to find a guy freind to go with you, prefferably one who knows what hes talking about. I hate to say it, but most of those guys will try to walk on you and rip you off because your a girl.

Look on the bright side at least you didn't come out of work and see a kid trying to jimmyin' your locks out with a screw driver. Messed up the sheet metal on my door and I needed a new outer panel. Sorry that you were on the butt end of some loser's inconsiderate actions. It is truly unfair that people that do these sorts of things are able to do so. If it is any consolation, some kid stole Intimidacius' chassis so he had to get a new one.
