What is legit, many peole have different diffinitions

I was online today, and like most people i trade, mostly between friends, and family members who also play the game, few exceptions. Now this guy comes online and tells me ai m 100% not legit, because i have traded before and that the only legit people are people who have never traded. First off that is bullshit, why even go online if you wont trade? sure there is a chance that you may not be legit, but if you trade your legit, had to go through ult a million times to find a specific item and you trade it to another person to an item, and it is duped, i still consiter that legit to a degree, you just traded a 100% legit item for a duped one, it was your choice, it is still legit, in my opinion, ok back to my story, he said he would never want to play with me again, and stormed off like a little baby just because I have traded before, for one i dont really care if I am in a team with him again. I dont need thet self absorbed holier then thou shit in my life. And by his "Deifinition" of what legit is... everyone on this planet is not legit, may i remind his that he did not find his fuckin Gamecube of the game, he had to "Trade" for it... he traded good hard "Legit" cash, for an item that a corperation DUPLICATES these gamecubes.... ok iam done now.. i need others opinions...

It's best to ignore him, people want to complain about things that they don't think is right and that's just human nature. If it's just some guy that said it then just ignore him because you play the game the way you'd like to and he plays the game the way he likes to.

It's all about a matter of how you play and what you consider to be wrong/right when playing. It's best just to ignore people that are trying to ruin the fun of the game for you no matter who they are.

I think it would have been funny if right then and there.. that guy's char got corrupted for being a jackass, frankly the whole idea of PSO online is so that you can hang out and trade and actually play with other people, just because someone gives you a good item for rather little doesn't mean you're any less legit,mind you if someone just tried to give me an awesome item that was obviously duped I'd say no.. or if someone gave me an item that isn't so great but still pretty good I might just give them something for it anyways.. I don't believe in getting something for nothing

A Legit person is any1 who does not hack or dupe in my opinion. And a really legit person is someone who doesn't use duped or hacked items/weps which is really hard to find nowadays...

I feel that you can only be considered 100% legit if you've had NO plastic surgery in your life.

Also, if you consider legit having to do with cheating. Then you must never have used a shoe-horn in your life! You cannot be legit if you cheat when removing your foot from a shoe! If you used the shoe-horn to bludgeon someone, that'd be a different story...


I'd say I'm 65% legit... I ride in cars, use a fork, and masturbate... So I'm cheating alot in life.

To be 100% legit, you MUST do things without the aid of something else, do things the way they were originally intended to be done! And the only people I can think of who're close enough to completely legit are the Amish... So if you ever meet an Amish PSO player, you can call them legit! Other than that, we're all dirty stinkin* cheaters.

This goes to the person who first wrote their post.Being legit means that you don't use hacked or duped items.That's mostly it but I think if you are legit that you don't transfer items either.However,with so many people cheating now it's hard to trade at all.So this leaves all the stuff you could trade to other classes useless.Of course transfering is the next logical thing to do.I just think that transfering a lv.200 mag to a low lv. char. isn't something that should be done.Mags are meant to progress with your char.Theres nothing i hate more than someone that kills everything with one hit.

i think that transfering stuff from chars is fine, i mean comeon if i find a good ranger weapon im not just going to store it "nope cant transfer or trade it because that would be non-legit of me" i do beleave that if you trade something of equal value for something that may be duped you are still legit, I got a god/mind, dont need it traded for a god/power. i see no harm in that.

Yeah, I've had people I've considered friends freak out all over me because I use items that have been given to me. Are the items duped? It's possible, but hey, the guy's a ranger and there is only so many weapons he can even use, so why not spread them around to my non-ranger character? Who knows? Could be still duped or hacked or whatever, but I've never had problems using anything from the guy.

Anyway, personally, it bugs me a bit that it makes such a big difference to people. I mean, I play to have fun. A good time. Laughs and good "kills". It's not fun if someone rags on you because of what kind of weapons you're using or mag you have. It's not like anything is forced unto them, right? It's just playing for fun. It's no big deal unless YOU'RE getting frozen up in the game because someone has something they really aren't supposed to have

Would I dupe or hack an item? Absolutly not, even if I could. Do I mind trading or recv'ing items from people who don't need them? No way. Why should I mind? Just have fun and don't mind them. They'll either accept, get used to it, or won't. (shrug)

I think the legit people need a little more acceptance that it is just a game to be played for fun. Play how you like to play, that's what a game is for. Otherwise, what is game-shark, genie, and code books for? People like to play games in different ways...

if your that concerned about being legit that guy should of had a fit because he's been playing with Dupers and not 100% legits therefor he is only about 98% legit (I dont wear pants so i'm 100% legit)

legit can only go for so long.
and that is until you reach about lvl 100
cause then you can use pretty much everything, and if you find something that you cant use. and trade it with someone then its legit because you traded something legit, for something else, even if its not legit, it still counts as being legit, cause you found the weapon that traded for that weapon.

but as for truely being legit. that is you raise your own mag, and use the weapons you find. but like i said, it only works till you get to a certain lvl

I'd say to be "legit" is to only use items that are active in the game (No S ranks on Xbox, etc...), and have not been hacked to add proerties that wouldn't spawn on an actual drop, such as having 100% vs dark.

This would of course disqualify you from using items like the Al Rapy unit that was created by a hacker and doesn't exist in the game.

Beyond that, you have to just swallow your conscience and trade anyway. You can't get a good cross-section of items in the game without trading. It sucks that dupers have pretty much destroyed the trading econony, to the point where all those rares you struggeld so hard to find have practically no value, but if you do reamin "legit" you can at least take pride in the fact that you are playing the game, not abusing it.

My 2 cents, 100 % legit is when you only play with the items you find on the ground, thats the only way. I play this way. I trade nothing, I take nothing. I made the mistake of ruining the game for myself on the GameCube. I played with dupes on the GC, it ruined the whole experience for me. I should have just played the way I did on DC when I played the GC version. Oh well. I play on Xbox now. My gamer tag is SHINANUBIS78 if you wanna play with someone legit.
