Can hunters equip force weapons?

I was playing with some guys yesterday and we were about to fight the dragon when they both pulled out and equiped force weapons, such as canes sticks, i asked them how they did it but they wouldnt say. If anyone knows how to do this let me know.

It is yet another code called "equip anything" im surprised they actually used online and exposed themselves as cheaters. Well there is no legit way to do it and i don't know why i would sacrifice a gladius for a cane.
