Killing rare enemies

How do you kill them so that you are most likely to get a rare?

On ultimate I usually kill rappies by using zonde on them from far away, so they run, so i zonde them again, and get the item. I don't get EXP, but I dont have to bother getting hurt!

I did this method to a Pal(?) Rappy (orange and green), and it ran off giving me 1500 meseta! Now I can't help but wondering if I bothered to kill it properly, I might have gotten the rare.

Also, on lillies, you can hurt them up to a point, then they commit suicide. I let them do this in ULT mines, cos its a waste of TP to kill them manually, and most of the time they kill themselves too quickly to get in another attack.

So if I come across a nar or mil lilly, does it matter if i let them kill themselves, or do I have to kill them myself to get a better chance of getting a rare?

I think that how you kill and enemy doesnt really affected but in rappies case its good to hit them up close.

Are hilditors very hard to kill and do they take some stratagey to do it?

Hildetorrs spit megid, and are very tought to kill. My frozen shooter makes short work of them. If you're a force or robot, use freeze spells/traps to hold them. If you have a weapon with the freeze ability, use it! Anything to keep them away from you!

And on a Pal Rappy note. On fake in yellow i run into on and get killed by it. I come back and its gone. i seen a hildablue on normal and i put som rounds of photon in his head....LOL YOU GOT KILLED BY A PAL RAPPY AT LVL 85! you pansy....im lvl 80 killem no problem with my varista lol! yeah but you are close rangebut still im a ranger i can take like 10 hits from one b4 i die. i would use resta b4 i die anyway...

I found a hildtor doing the telepipe trick in ultimate with my range after about 25 minutes. I took a critical hit and died. (It should have taken three hits to kill me)It was gone when I came back. I telepiped for another 2 hours with no luck. I wanted a froozen shooter.

I found the best way i can think of to kill Hildelts/Hildebears/Hildeblues/Hildetorrs...have u ever tried the delsaber trick? walk around them until u are pretty close to there back and attack, then do it again and attack...it keeps em from shooting watever spell they have, and it keeps them from hitting u constantly...thats wat i do and it works great...

The simple fact that you're using a Varista at level 80 shows that you are in no position to be calling ANYONE a pansy...
