Using the level 999 mag.

Well, think about this. Lets say someone is at level 10 or something and their 'friend' gives them this handy mag that maxes out all their stats.
Well, sooner or later, Sega is gonna get rid of it. Because it's odvious that any one that exists is fake, where as it's hard to tell if a double saber was duped or not, there's not supposed to be level 999 mags.
So! once your stats are maxed out, you get no bonuses at level ups, even if they're maxed out because of a mag.
So, one day, those level 999 mags will dissapear... and I suppose we'll have level 100 people who can only use sabers and do damage in the teens.
I for one will be amused.

As far as I can tell, stats continue to go up regardless of whether or not they're maxed with the mag. All characters have a set max for each stat, and you gain a certain amount of points per level to your base (without mag) stat. My stats were maxed with my mag when I got up to the higher levels, but they continued to raise, and I was perfectly able to remove the mag (lowering them back down) and then use materials also, so as to max out the stats without the mag as well.

BTW, does anyone have handy the page with the max stats (in points) per character class?
