View Full Version : To all Noobs playing PSO offline

I'm just putting this down for all Noobs who just started playing PSO like for level 5's. In each area (mines, caves, forest) there's a huge cylinder ( if you don't know what a cylinder is just think of a pole and if you don't know what a pole is I'll smack you across the head with one and you'll never forget). Anywayz, you must turn on each one to get to ruins. The only reason I put that there is because for example,if you find the one in mines and forest you'll have to get the one in caves then you'll have to beat mines again.

Speaking of the Ruins, I've activated all three pillars and defeated Vol Opt...

Dark Falz, your ass is goin down!!

...of course, I'll have to gain 20 or 25 more levels before I can fight her (Dark Falz is Red Ring Rico, but she was posessed by Dark Falz. If you defeat Dark Falz on hard mode or higher [third form] you can see Rico flying upwards during the death scene.)

HOLY CRAP!!! WHY'D THEY HAVE TO MAKE THE RUINS SO HARD IN VERSION 2?!?!?!?!

I'm only in the third room and already I'm being chased by 6 Dimenians and a Delsaber who enjoys jumping on me!

A level 40 could handle that without a problem, but I'm only level 24, and I'm stuck with a mag that'll only heal me at boss fights... stupid thing.

I'm having fun in the Ruins myself, but then again I tend to use: Hit / Run / Heal / Snipe at whatever it was that hurt me so bad until it's dead / Repeat as needed until I can smack 'em silly whithout having to snipe / Proceed to next room... http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

BTW: Brand new newbie here! This is my very first post on this site! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Ruins wasn't hard for me at all. Lol, because I was at level 35 or so when I beat it....I have no idea why. Also I hold DF's second form insn't hard...

Master_of_Dragons
07-09-2003, 01:04 AM
as in second form you mean the megid/grants casting one right. you heard wrong. if you don't have a good gun your are doomed. well what i mean to say is that he never stays in one spot. making it so hard to keep up with his movements you will ether not hit him when he is vurnable or make a mistake and kill yourself when he steals your soul.
It took me a hour to beat it on very hard and I didn't have a gun to back me up.

I know this because I fought her third form with my friend; he's a level 64 HUmar last time I checked, and I used my level 40 RAmar...

Attention please, I am about to announce my ultimate strategy for beating bosses in 3...3...5...2....4...1...9...1....0(lookie mommy I kan count!!)

RECOVERY ITEMS!!!!(and resta!)

that is all.(or is it...)

(nope!)
However, even though it has worked on most other bosses such as Volt Opt this strategy has not yet worked against Dark Falz.

The following is a typical result of me(lvl30 RAmar, pinkal) vs. Dark Falz:

"Die stupid spinning things!!" *kills 3* "Ha! How'd ya like them apples?!"

*Dark Falz appears* "Good muther of Rag Rappy, you're freakin fugly!"

"Ummmm... Ok DIE!" * http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_ak.gif Fires 6 shots at it with an autogun*

*Dark Falz attacks with a fire explosion* "OWWWWIE!!! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif " *me runs ant tries to shoot http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_ak.gif * "I'll get you for that!"

*Dark Falz freezes me with an ice attack http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_bash.gif*

"NO! You are not going to use an explosion attack!!" *me tries to break free of the ice http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_mad.gif *

*Dark Falz uses explode attack* "ARRRRRRRGH!!!" *me dies http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_argh.gif http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_rant.gif :etoungue: http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_dead.gif http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/coffin.gif

polishedweasel
07-21-2003, 06:38 PM
Yes, on normal mode the ruins are pretty easy. Taste ultimate Ruins, and then remake that statement.

Also, after DF hits you with the super Rafoie Rabarta, a group of 3 spiky thing(the name eludes me) come from the ground and hit you simultaneously, mostly killing you in one hit. Actually it's 3 hits, but, because you're frozen you respond to all the hits. So, my best advice to you would be: Bring resist/freeze or don't suck. I guess that's all.

About 3 out of 5 computer programmers had a bachelor's degree or higher in 2000 (table 1). Of these, some hold a degree in computer science, mathematics, or information systems, whereas others have taken special courses in computer programming to supplement their study in fields such as accounting, inventory control, or other areas of business. As the level of education and training required by employers continues to rise, this proportion should increase in the future.

Required skills vary from job to job, but the demand for various skills generally is driven by changes in technology. Employers using computers for scientific or engineering applications usually prefer college graduates who have degrees in computer or information science, mathematics, engineering, or the physical sciences. Graduate degrees in related fields are required for some jobs. Employers who use computers for business applications prefer to hire people who have had college courses in management information systems (MIS) and business and who possess strong programming skills. Although knowledge of traditional languages still is important, increasing emphasis is placed on newer, object-oriented programming languages and tools, such as C++ and Java. Additionally, employers are seeking persons familiar with fourth and fifth generation languages that involve graphic user interface (GUI) and systems programming. Employers also prefer applicants who have general business skills and experience related to the operations of the firm. Students can improve their employment prospects by participating in a college work-study program or by undertaking an internship.

Most systems programmers hold a 4-year degree in computer science. Extensive knowledge of a variety of operating systems is essential. This includes being able to configure an operating system to work with different types of hardware and adapting the operating system to best meet the needs of a particular organization. Systems programmers also must be able to work with database systems, such as DB2, Oracle, or Sybase, for example.

When hiring programmers, employers look for people with the necessary programming skills who can think logically and pay close attention to detail. The job calls for patience, persistence, and the ability to work on exacting analytical work, especially under pressure. Ingenuity and imagination also are particularly important, when programmers design solutions and test their work for potential failures. The ability to work with abstract concepts and to do technical analysis is especially important for systems programmers, because they work with the software that controls the computer's operation. Because programmers are expected to work in teams and interact directly with users, employers want programmers who are able to communicate with nontechnical personnel.

Entry-level or junior programmers may work alone on simple assignments after some initial instruction or on a team with more experienced programmers. Either way, beginning programmers generally must work under close supervision. Because technology changes so rapidly, programmers must continuously update their training by taking courses sponsored by their employer or software vendors.

For skilled workers who keep up to date with the latest technology, the prospects for advancement are good. In large organizations, programmers may be promoted to lead programmer and be given supervisory responsibilities. Some applications programmers may move into systems programming after they gain experience and take courses in systems software. With general business experience, programmers may become programmer analysts or systems analysts or be promoted to a managerial position. Other programmers, with specialized knowledge and experience with a language or operating system, may work in research and development areas, such as multimedia or Internet technology. As employers increasingly contract out programming jobs, more opportunities should arise for experienced programmers with expertise in a specific area to work as consultants.

Technical or professional certification is a way to demonstrate a level of competency or quality. In addition to language-specific certificates that a programmer can obtain, product vendors or software firms also offer certification and may require professionals who work with their products to be certified. Voluntary certification also is available through other organizations. Professional certification may provide a job seeker a competitive advantage.

dark falz is easy, at least with hunters, humar or hunewearl, i guess with androids is harder ((no resta))

olga is friggin hard ((the first time))

who do you think would win between olga and falz!?!? i think falz 3rd form

When you think about, Dark Falz is Eternal becaause he can posess different people, but Olga Flow needs Flowen to live. So Dark Falz would win, also he has 3 forms and the 3rd is super cheap and so is Olgas 2nd.But I beat both on Ult,after 3 tries with some good friends.

Man, looking back through this thread...its kind of sad... People going through ruins at lv 24? What was wrong with us back then?! I recall the very first time I played the DC version a week after it came to the USA. I didn't leave Forest until lv 14. And I actually saw a lv 98 RAcast get killed almost instantly by Dark Falz in HARD! HARD! He didn't fall down when the blue balls hit him, so they all hit him and killed him. I held a great fear of Falz after that...

Do you ever look back, and wonder...why you were so pathetic?

I found a Dagger and freaked out because it could do six hits instead of three. --"

My first rare was in Caves, an Agito. I thought it was a stick. I equipped it while it was still unidentified and ran around screaming "I FOUND A STICK! LOOK! LOOK! STICK!" Then...I gave it to my friend. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

And my most powerful V1 weapon, the amazing Spirit Gladius. I used to deal 1,000+ damage to Vol Opt, which was impressive on V1 for a legit. I loved that weapon...
