Sega's New Updates Suck ( Read More )

I know most of you ( 60 percent or more ) have gotten a taste of sega's new servers. I mean shit, that is a GREAT IDEA, but the idea is about 2 months too late.

This is getting pretty lame, dont fucking play with already duped items you nut sacks, just stop the dupping period. Don't go around fucking up game saves just because there is a misplaced 0 and 1 in the save file. I fucking had to delete a Spread Needle that I just trade for. I lost more than just a spread needle, I lost a soul eater, double saber, and alot of time to trade for that needle, and I had to throw that needle away now. PSO community is no more, atleast for me it isnt. I am no longer trading online because I dont want my original items to be handed off to someone that has duped ones that I have to delete anyways. Its pretty pathetic, if you want to end duping, just do what the SMARTEST people in the world did ( Battle.Net) and have save files saved on your servers.... that would end about 70~80percent of the duping online.

And the fuckers that keep hacking Mags like Opa Opa, Pian, and Robochao, are losers

and who ever did that God/Hp++, you justed fucked PSO to the grave...

PSO blows now, no thanks to the dupers and hackers...

I agree with Vegeetz, the rest of you can shut the hell up. I just got to lvl 40 FINALLY and guess what? Hmm...i can't play a game. How am I supposed to know which items are duped or not? I have a Holy Ray +30, many lvl 15 disks, and god/arm-, elf/arm+, god/mind--, angel/mind++ and ogre/power+. Which of those are duped?!

I agree with you totally except on one minor point about battle.net - The servers are hackable. Just because a game is server side based doesnt mean something isnt hacking it. Nothing is unhackable and whoever thinks that something is will be in for a rude awakening soon. My point is basically, no matter what sega does, it wont matter because nothing is "hack proof" and nothing ever will be. For example, Microsoft is coming out with a new version of Office and a new version of Windows. They Supposedly attach themselves to the serial code of your processor so that it cant be pirated. Well, even though it's not released to the general public yet, it has already been hacked.

who said a lvl 40 cant have those things without duping? if u noticed all the god stuff has - on them and ogre power+ isnt hard to find. if u play online alot u find those easy at lvl 40s in vhard ruins. as far as im concerned dupers can burn in hell and kiss my left nut. and i agree vegeetz the update shoulda came out way sooner the only thing im glad about is i dont trade much so none of my items were duped hence it has no effect on me but i do feel for you. they should at least tell you which item is duped or whatever.

You won't know your item is duped until you step up to the lobby counter and they refuse your entry.

Go Cirrsplat !! There is no way you could have found all those rares at level 40!! are you serious?? I guarantee you that you didnt find the holy ray in your game. There is no way ( save lvl 999) to tell if your items are hacked. If you simply find all your rares what is the problem?? If you trade, make sure its a fair trade and that the grinders arnt fixed. Just remember 80 percent of the rares online at one point were duped or created. Actually, it's not the game itself that's lame...since the game is more people-based than the previous PS games, it's the people that make it lame. It's a person's choice whether or not they want to abuse the good nature of various things. It's easily possible to dupe an item. Does that mean you should? Not really. People who do these things do it by choice. Don't blame Sega. Don't blame the game. Blame the people.

Anyway, I think the reason Sega never added these updates in the beginning is because they didn't think ass-holes like thieves and cheaters would exist in Phantasy Star communities (play the other four PS games, go in any retrogaming forums, and you'll probably know why). Phantasy Star has attracted a new audience now, and not exactly one neither Sega nor older PS fans expected. Our mistake...

there is no justification for cheating in PSO. if you dont have the will to work hard, then play something else. one of those goddamn lvl999 opaopa's got my lvl60 character file corrupted. cheaters are tearing PSO to the ground with all those duped weapons, especially the ones who lie about them. PSO2 needs a true trade system to stop these dirty bastards in their motherless tracks.

actually i must agree with you guys. i really hate going into a game to help newbies level up and find out there asses are stronger than my lvl 50 and they are under lvl 20. i'm glad sega fries all those jacked up opa opa users. i myself have finally gotten a legit chao so i'm happy.

and someone else made another very valid point, if gs users can make there own weapons there is no need to trade duped items, just make yourself one dammit. now i have a head ache

I had a level 44 character, loads of cool weapons (non duped) traded them all for a holy ray and as soon as I saved it and restarted my character was no longer accessible

Now that sucks! All my hard work ruined by some fucking cheater/liar!!

Honestly, Doc, with as blatantly obvious of a workaround as that, do you really think SEGA just didn't see it?

They appear to be doing these server mods in stages; I'm sure as soon as their comfortable with the current mod, they'll expand it so that it randomly checks your entire inventory, banked or not..
