Since Sega blocked duped items, cheating has changed.
Let's start with what is blocked:
1. Insane mags like level 999 mags
2. God/HP++
3. Equipment that has been duped using things like save copying and removing the VMU
What's not blocked:
1. Items in the bank regardless of how you got them
2. "Manufactured" items using xploder
3. Duped items using xploder's code to drop something but still have it (do this offline)
So Sega hasn't changed anything. If you get caught by this crap, just go offline and stick the offending items in the bank. Then get them out of the bank while online.
If you want to dupe something in the future, use xploder to dupe offline only. Sega can't detect duping this way. After Sega implemented the new lockout, I cloned a Dragon Slayer and came back with it equipped
on my hand (and the original in the inventory below it). I had no problems joining a team.
Another thing Sega did was block out casting spells in the lobby. Thank god, because that was a disaster. Code Master locked out Ryuker to prevent people from forcefully causing others to FSOD, but someone figured out how to disable this. So some people have been crashed online by malevolent people casting Ryuker.
When you cast a spell in the lobby, it isn't propagated. In other words, nobody sees it but you. I don't know what Ryuker does now but I'm sure Sega was smart enough to fix it :)
Some people are blaming GSCCC for the new dupe lockout. Well, that's completely unfair. GSCCC's cloning method isn't affected at all.
BTW has the copied save lockout been removed? I think they should remove it, because now you can't use the usual save copying tricks to dupe anymore.
