Freak him out with Tollaw. Then move up to Melqueek. Hit him with Canabin, and take him down with Del-D.

I agree, they never give me enough space to run to the other side of the room, turn back and then shoot with my handgun/mechgun.

Are they the fastest moving monster in the whole game? I thought it was the Diminians but I was wrong.

Man, not even a Tollaw can match the speed and strength of Arlans.

It's Merlans that piss me off.
And then Del-Ds amuse me greatly. I imagine if I could get online and thus have them at the correct speed I'd want my Mother, but since I can't, they're amusingly slow. Heh.

Yea, imagine getting swarmed by 4 Arlans while the Belra's are rapid firing at you.

I think I let a little pee out...

Barbles aren't a rare enemy, all the enemies in Ultimate have different names and forms http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=325

Four Indi Belras in one room annoy the piss out of me.

Flying fists come at you from all directions, fall to the ground (if playing my FOnewm), Resta, Razonde and repeat...*mutter*.

Just wasted like 5 Trifluids because I was cornered by like 4 Vulmars in Ultimate Caves. Wasted it on Resta because I had no way out and didn't want to die while trying to attack. Couldn't even cast the blasted Rafoie to get them out of the way! I hope something can be done about this in the next PSO because it is so annoying!

I'm aware of normal Ruins 3 variations where you're in one of those rectangular rooms where 4 Belras are in a row.

Not to forget that there's another where one of the large square rooms near the end of Ruins 3 has 2 Belras on opposite sides. =3

Generally, it's a bit hard to move when you're cornered.

That's why you move before. The game doesn't automatically place you in a corner surrounded by enemies now does it?

It ain't just being cornered. It can happen right in the middle of the room as well. You can have like up to 8 Vulmars coming from all points of the compass and surround you. Yes, running away is the obvious answer but you cannot be 100% sure you won't get trapped. Those Vulmars do move fast...

Move in such a fashion that they come at you in a straight line, then rabarta or gifoie em.

I'm sorry but I don't recall asking for any help. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I know you are going to say something in return but please don't. I won't bother anymore myself. 4am now so I'm off. Been on this site for the past 12 hours now.

Ok? Point is...? There is a room with four Indi Belras on Ult. Ruins.

Edit, To Axem:

I've tried freezing them, but I usually get so banged up in the process it's just not worth it. Running around the perimeter of the room and stopping once to cast is the most effective way of not getting hit...though it's not efficient and time consuming.

I'm only level 118, and my Deband is level 27...I guess I'll just have to level some more so I stop getting knocked down. I have 908 HP, so I can take a little more than two hits (not including criticals) from them, but after those two hits it's time for resta.

i am waiting to go there due to the fact that it so friggin ard when you get to the rooms where the indi belras lurk. 1 is easy. 2 is frustrating. 3 is a pain in hte ass. and four.... that is why i wait. right now i am going through the caves just to lv up.
i am 121 and close to being 123. caves are easy but exp is ok. (better than forest)and i can find the red sword(still haven't) and the red handgun(2 of them). so i would take it slow.

The few times I used jellen, when I first entered Ult., the time to cast the spell wasn't worth it seeing as I could kill most of them from a safe distance; though I might employ the tech now, considering it's currently level 28, as opposed to level 17. It should be of much greater help. I tend to neglect techs which don't physically injure the enemy, and I forget shifta and deband far too often. Thanks for the blatantly obvious tip. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Now comes the task of prioritizing the short-cuts...

Mixfortune
07-21-2003, 12:35 AM
Usually when you are surrounded you don't want to use an area tech, cause then they will all hit you at the same time, dealing increased damage. So yeah wait it out, hit one of the monsters, and eventually one or more walks away because they run out of elbow room or something. That creates an opening. Or, you could try and cast Ryuker/Use a telepipe, get hit and fall, then when you get up again, escape. When you come back they should be back at their spawn points, giving a clear way out.

Reenee

Probably not often since it's rare. It depends on luck really. You might find it on your first Barble while you might kill hundreds of Barbles and never find it.

Are you on Ultimate yet?

Still on V.Hard? So why do you need to worry about Barbles yet?

Level 64 should be ok for Dark Falz if you are a HUmar. Again, the level depends on your character. People beat Dark Falz at different kinds of levels and equip different items. If you equip something like Dragon/HPs and Resist/Blizzards, you should be ok. Bring a good gun and a multi-hit weapon such as a Yamato.

i usually get alot of the same rare weapon from a barble for example i got about 6 final impacts from them in one hour
