I was never a cheater, but because of others, my lvl 60 Humar w/ great mag and techs is gone. it all started with my little bro trading with dupers while i slept. The next day, he "mysteriously" 'BSOD'ed. He lost all his legal rares, I thought. All he had was what he had equipped and he want to start a new game. We tranferred his remaining items to my 'Seanjin'. I left the game and went to the lobby, to search for a game, when I tried to enter, the game told me I was trying to smuggle cheated items."What the --?!" illegal? What I do? i wondered. "oh, yeah," my brother said. "that opa opa's lvl999."
"Dammit! you fool! I told him.
"I told you never to accept duped items!"
"oops."
i logged off and attempted to go offline to get rid of the possessed opaopa. "This file can no longer be used."
My character was gone! "Damn you sega! You bastards!" i sobbed into my pillow. that bsod that happened to my lil bro was no accident, sega was after us! I believe when he was cited for smuggling, sega got our access key, and wanted to get rid of us with their "programmed accidents", BSOD and file corruption.
I never knew that son of bitch opaopa was lvl 999. i wasn't cheater. i wasn't a thief. What had i done to deserve that fate, Sega?
"why?! why?!" as sobbed throughout the night, i wanted to make sure people knew the horrible mistake sega made.

I feel for you man. I guess Sega felt that it'd be easier to punish the many than to punish the few...

I would blame Sega partially for this, but the thing is that it's the hackers, thieves, dupers, and PKers that influenced Sega to resort to such. Then again, everything's by choice: you hack by choice, you dupe by choice, you try to exercise discipline with the method of your choice...

...another problem is that they made it to the point where even back-up saves can't even be used...

...I think they would have been better off making the offline game more enjoyable...

Stop placing the blame on sega. I had the same thing with a +99 egg blaster someone gave me. They didn't erase my game and I tried to get in a game a like 5 different times with that message. Your brother probably pulled out your VMU or turned your power off as soon as that message came up.
Sega isn't to be blamed, it's about time they did something. I just wish they did it sooner!

Yoe were caught being in possesion with 'illegal' hacked items. That's what you did to deserve this fate. It's you brothers fault if anthing.

Just play by the rules and then you wont have to worry about this kind of thing. Also don't accept items of people you don't know... And family members in your case.

Yeah, Seanjin, how about blaming your brother a bit for messing around with your character in ways you told him not to instead of blaming Sega for this (or, if you'd like to try your hand at personal responsibility for a change, blame yourself also for allowing him to mess around with your character to begin with)?

After all, if you let someone borrow your gun and it's used in a robbery, guess who also gets dragged off to court...?

Hey!- It is my brother's fault! I would beat him, but my sister'd call the cops. oh, yeah, now my PSO disc is scratched beyond playability, so I gotta buy a new one. Hell, I'll buy a new DC to clear my record!

I don't think you can use two PSO discs on the same DC, or something along those lines.

I just wanted to say that I fully agree with anything Sega does to cheaters, dupers and theives to a lesser extent. They made the game, therefore they have the final word.

If only they copuld sort out the BSOD, then everything would be fine.

well actually its nobodys fault...i myself have had 2 3 lv 70+ charecters BSOD and then say this file cannot be used.. and i was in possesion of no duped/hacked items.. its not segas fault and its not your brothers fault... my brother has a 999 opa opa and as long as its in the bank... sega can do nothing (unfortantly) BSOD is just a glitch of 56k modem online play and game sharks.... i feel for you.. but when its happend to you 3 times... then come talk too me
