What is even more humorous to me is that both of your guys' avatars are characters of mine that actually have half of a short novel written about them. (Not PSO folk though.)

ANYWAY, this Haiku was one of my favorites of all the seventeen I read, but my vote went to "Spirits Rise to Sing" because of the imaginative imagery. I like the stuff that's themed as part of the PSO world and story, rather than the humorous stuff - at least for this category.

But now that I've read this one again...I like the pacing of it. In my mind I can picture each line as a separate panel. First, Rico is slowly standing up (a nice alliteration and play on the sounds, by the way), the picture of pain and draining life. Next, perhaps a detail of her rising with a shadow behind her. Then, finally, a dramatic close-up of Rico's face as she cries, "FLOWEN!"
