Getting the goods from rare monsters

I heard an intersting bit of info today from a guy I was in a game with. I have no idea if it's true, but I never hesitate at a chance to maybe spread some false information. Then again it may be true. According to what I heard, to get a rare monster to drop something that will make your friends think your a duper, that monster must be killed first. So in other words if you see an Al Rappy, along with his posse of Rag Rappys, kill the Al Rappy first. Then your chances of getting something uber cool will be greatly increased. This is just a rumor mind you. So don't blame pretty little me if its bull.

Saddly horney guys (and a few gals evenhttp://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_razz.gif) are not the only ones who want to see me in shackles. Well, not really shackles, more like a straight jacket. I don't think I would enjoy that very much. That bland white color is horrible. Maybe if they put me in a baby blue staightjacket with little red hearts. That might not be so bad. A padded cell wouldn't be so bad either, with my lousy balance and all. I couldn't catch myself if I tipped over in a straightjacket. So if I got one I would have to have the other.
After more than 5-thousand trips from the planet suface to the pioneer 2 hospital the shirnks are starting to think I have some sort of death wish. Not really, I just get killed alot.
Which leads me to the reason I started writing this whole thing. How the hell do you get teleported from any location on the planet, directly to the hospital? Why cant they then put me back where they found me after I've been healed? What kind of medical insurance do I have? Obviously not an HMO. Only a 10 meseta co-pay each and every visit. No premiums to pay. And they scoop my lifeless corpse off the planet, bring me back to life....ALL AT NO CHARGE!!!!! Errr....ahhhh...sorry about that Ambrai. I guess Spy and I do tend to strech the idea of what exactly is "game play discussion." But then again its not exactly off topic either. I started this whole thread with perfectly innocent intentions http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif. Then again the argument could be made that the type of health coverage hunters recieve and phsycological issues could be considered game play disscussion. Of course if I was making that agument in the court of law I would want Johny Cocrine as my attorney. I'm not sure if I could afford Cocrin on my salery. I'm already trying to raise 4 baby mags. Which is another reason having kids would be a bad idea. I can't even raise a mag right. My last mag rebelled against me. No I'm serious! It flatley refused to do anything except follow me around, and half the time it wouldn't even do that. I have to put my mags on a leash. I think my Garuda is the only mag I've ever seen that cast Resta Kill instead of Resta. And my Asparas makes the monsters indestructable!!!! And the last photon blast I used came raining down on me instead of the intended target. Thats what I get for raising a mags on table scraps instead of mates and fluids like everyone else.

This is a perfect example of how these things tend to get away from me. I had absolutly no intention when I started writing this to bring up the poor behavior of my mags. But its all in a day in the life of Danger Girl http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_wink.gif.

I'd kill to have a nurse ogle me... but no... I'm just another big mechanical thing to them. (and not the good kind with batteries... at least not anymore)

They promised I'd have my old job back after everyting was done, but you know what??? I've killed Dark Falz 30 times or more and HE KEEPS COMING BACK!!! I don't even get to have a cat.... and I think one of the techs is trying to rewire my mag, too.

Speaking of rare monsters... I was playing tonight with one of my characters, DCMarine (RAcast-Whitill). While playing through one of the sidequests, the one where you escort a female journalist through the forest, very early in the game, I noticed that immediately caught my attention. The 2nd area I enter in Forest 2 I encountered an Al Rappy. I was pretty surprised; it was the first time I've seen a rare monster. Mind you, this was all happening on normal (offline), I haven't even played through 5 hours, and my RAcast was at Lv. 5 at the time. Is this weird or what? I dunno if anybody has encountered a rare monster this early in the game. My Lv48 FOnewm hasn't even encountered a rare monster. I've noticed that there was a post at one time regarding Whitill Section characters, and possibly encountering rare monsters more often, but I dunno that could happen this early in the game. Anyways I thought I'd like to share that.

By the way... this is kinda off the subject. Does anybody ever, or have, use(d) a 'Master' weapon, ones that give % experience per hit. Yes, I know they aren't exactly rare (special) weapons, but I think they are pretty nifty. I gain 3 Levels in a lil over an hour on normal forest, during the first 3 or 4 sidequests alone. I know it's possibly this could happen without a 'Master' weapon, but I found it at least a lil more helpful in gaining experience.

I was once free to do as I please, but ever since that day that I bumped into "The Red Head" I've been placed under some sort of spell I SWEAR. It started out innocently enough. She introduced herself to me and she said she needed assistance with some trivial task down on Ragol. I should have been worried when she wanted a contract signed in blood and she started muttering some sort of strange incantation. NEVER! Danger Girl is perfect and elegant in every way. The only purpose of my existence is to serve and protect my Danger Girl and try ever so hard to becaome just a fraction of her greatness! I would throw down my life for her at a moments notice to insure that the world would not be denied her beauty. I...I... OH PLEASE MAKE IT STOP!!!!!! Pity me because I'm under DG's spell.

To get it, you play thru all the quests 200 times with less than 30 minutes on your character's time clock. Then revisit "Seek My Master" The RAcaseal gives you my head and then admits it's simply a backup cranial unit from the tech bay.

I'm still working on how to get the real thing... i think it has something to do with those books of katana.
