What the F*** Have they done to FFX-2!?

Being a HUUUGE Final Fantasy Fan, My friend was telling me about the Intro to FFX-2 he'd seen recently and I didn't believe a word of what he said about it.
He directed me to a site full of Images of the game and my worst fears have been fullfilled!!!

The Game is full of FAN SERVIVE, Yuna is Singing in the Intro and it looks like a F***ing Pop Video. It's like Final fantasy meets Charlies Angels! There's even a screenshot of Rikku's Brothers doin a stupid John Tavolta Night Fever Impression!!!!!!

I can't believe it! They've ruined Final Fantasy! The Horror! The Shame! Y!? Y!?

I complain but I have to buy it... It's Final Fantasy. Final Fantasy Dude!
I just object to having to spend the next 200hrs or more (If I can bare it) on a game in a series I love that's let itself go like that.
My god, first they broke their golden rule of not actually making sequels to the FF Stories and then they make it the sleazey Cheesefest that is FFX-2!
FFX was my second favourite FF game, and they've ruined it.

Final Fantasy was ruined the moment a sci-fi theme was added, Although that doesn't the likes of 7 were bad (was bloody great), they just donn't have the same charm.

Where have you been? Everyone should have known this concept about FFX-2 by now. I might not even buy it cause its too mushy mushy, and I'm starting to hate how all the females in the game are all scandally clad dressed. And THATS coming from a man.

I will play the game, It's just I don't like the look of it at the moment. I want to concentrate on the story line and fight scenes, not spend the whole time being distracted by Yuna's backside... HOWEVER nice it is. I can see the papers now (Just like they did with Tomb Raider) 'This time she's got real curves!'
That aint right, Newspapers talking about a fictional character like that.
And like DSAlpha said I haven't had the chance to look up FFX-2 proppallly till recently.

Final Fantasy went downhill after 7. I don't think it was the sci-fi theme, but more the "teen-melodrama" and the heroes who never-gives-a-rat's-ass-about-anything. Sure Cloud had the same attitude, but it was ok when it was unique. Now, every main hero is a dick. Argh... back to Dragon Quest.

And let us never forget, the 10 hour summoning sequences! Weeee... all that to see a Chocobo run past and do 100 damage!

I only pray that the Square-Enix merge has some of Enix rub off on Square, instead of Square corrupting Enix.

Hehe, this is why I stopped playing DOA2. Lei Fangs legs were a distraction. So heh, not gonna have my hormones messed with by FFX-2

Play the one that started it all... FINAL FANTASY FOR THE NINTENDO!!! Nothing, absolutely nothing, beats the Knight, Ninja, Master, Black, White, and Red Wizard... You can't get better characters that that!

Hmm... FF8 was slightly disapointing. My least favourite of the Final Fantasy series. Great game and all, but I was so excited after FF7 it was bound to be a disapointment. (Kind of the same thing with MGS and MGS2) The movie, wasn't unwatchable, It just wasn't Final fantasy. The only references to the game was Gai. (Damn Spelling) Where were the swords? The Fight between two rivals... Instead we got some stupid ass wimpy ghosts and a love story as lame as a one legged sheep.

Well that's one good thing I S'pose. At least I got the Classics to play and Final Fantasy chronicles is looking Promising. That'll keep me going at least... anyone got an idea of when that's out in Europe?

I try not to get o0of on videogames or cartoon characters. To me, it's just disgusting. Also, I like the fact that Final Fantasy took a futuristic turn, but I wanted to see more of Zanarkand.

If they do make a new FF7 I just want it to have better graphics not some cheesy new story like Aeris gets ressurected or something...

Final Fantasy has become colpicated after seven. Like in FF7, the materia concept was easy to understand and figure out. In FF8, the whole GF liking the character pissed me off because some characters had a higher number then the others. And summoning the GF becomes slow when not equipped with a good character. In FF10, the whole chart thing was too complicated and difficult....So yeah Final Fantasy has been goin down after seven.

not to make this a huge rumor thread, but didn't that happen in the japanese version? I'm like 95% sure it did... oh well

Anyways, Kizaragu, you're making a really big deal out of nothing. If you look at the like, other 49 pages of pics from the game, it looks alright.

But a sequel to FF7 is what I'd rather have.
