At 14 you could. You just need to heal a lot and it will take around 20 min. I remember the first time I fought him (I think I was around level 13), me and this other guy got wiped out.

You just need a good sword. Preferably with a good abeast %. Then you'll kick his butt. Oh yeah, lotsa mates too (mono, di and brother tri). Then no problemo.
