error 102

alright here it goes....
i hooked up my gamecube and got online with pso at my friends house...i got home to my house and used the same method to try to get on but when i got to the dns server connect i got error 102 telling me that my settings are wrong... can any one tell me y it does this only at my house. i have tried at 3 other places and my house is the only place it doesnt work and my friends house has virtually the same exact computer setup as i do
road runner cable internet (a sharkfin modem) (mine is some stupid box) windows xp same cables and all

You said yours was some box. From the way you were talking I assume that that is different from your friend's setup. You may have to check all the settings to connect at your place again.

i have checked all of my settings ive set all of the ip addresses and that crap, the modem that the cable company gave me is a terayon tj615 the modems are practically the same but mine is pissing me off immensely

i moved my modem and gc and stuff to another cable jack in the house and it automatically connected
