This one's clearer than the one I posted earlier:
http://www.msu.edu/~nixonjos/pics/t_matacus-rolled-sm.jpg
It's a Three-Banded Armadillo! This is the only type of Armadillo that can completely roll into a ball to serve as protection.
This is probably one of the cutest types of Armadillos:
http://www.msu.edu/~nixonjos/pics/z_pichiy-hyvonen.jpg
It's a Pichi Armadillo. ^_^
My personal favorite would have to be the Nine-Banded Armadillo:
http://www.msu.edu/~nixonjos/pics/grassdillo.jpg
Unfortunately there isn't a good shot of it's head.http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif
Now, I know you might be thinking "But that armadillo has 10 bands, not 9..." The thing is, although they are named the Nine-Banded Armadillos they can vary from 6-11 bands!
There are different kinds of armadillos, obviously none of these are mine. I suggest you check out some information on them sometime. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I still say an aardvark is a pointy mole and an armadillo is a pointy armored mole
Can any one of em dig holes?

Yes, actually. Armadillos have claws that dig holes, they usually use it to dig up grub and whatnot.
Moles are not too different in the way that they too dig for some food.

I LOVE armadillos. They're native to this part of Florida and I see 'em a lot. Cute little buggers, but they carry a bunch of nasty diseases...

although i am not going to bother finding the article, that was actually a mcdonald's mishap. wouldn't you want to get one of those in your bag in the drive thru?
we have native animals here in colorado that are way cooler than what you people have... anyhow, if you look below at the sig, you will see some non-native erm, not wildlife, but still my favorite domestic aminal. my favorite wild animal (and we have them here in colorado) is the raccoon. i guess i just love animals with a cute li'l furry mask!

That's actually one of my good friend's favorite animal. I have a question, he's been wanting one for a long time, how are they as house pets? I haven't actually seen one that someone owned before.
