no, not really. If you want to get rid of a character the only way to do so is to select the character and then chose 'recreate', thus making a new character in place of the old one. There is no magic 'delete' button, however replacing the character acts in much the same fashion.

If you do decide to ditch a character, I'd get all their 'stuff' off them first...
